Foscarini is an innovative Italian lighting company that views each lamp as a passion project, fueled by an appreciation for and strong understanding of timeless design. Creating unique products that boast a strong personality, Foscarini holds a deep knowledge of the lighting industry and maintains a steadfast reputation. 60 models, more than 20 materials and over 30 designers come together to form a robust collection of lamps, each with a story to tell and an aesthetic that is powerful enough to transform any space, be it public or private, into a distinctive living experience. Foscarini prides itself on achieving the best results across product design, development and engineering. Since the brand’s debut in the 1980’s, Foscarini’s products have been produced by several suppliers specializing in technologies specific to given designs. This structure has allowed to Foscarini to be independent and flexible, and to strengthen the company’s focus on research, development and innovation. Foscarini is distributed in over 80 countries through a network of 2,800 multi-brand stores. In 2013, they opened two flagship spaces: Spazio Brera in Milan and Spazio Soho in New York. Research, innovation, product culture and experimentation in the search for new lighting solutions, shapes and materials – these are the values that have always been at the heart of the Foscarini philosophy. One way this is shown is INVENTARIO, a creative project promoted and supported by Foscarini and directed by Beppe Finessi, which uses original contributions that offer an enlightened perspective on design, architecture and art. The book-zine, which debuted in 2010, organized a yearly exhibition at the Poldi Pezzoli Museum and was honored in 2014 with the Compasso d'Oro ADI award, a noteworthy and prestigious industry award.
