Stefanie S. Ashton is a New York State registered architect, Assoc. AIA member, membre SIA (Suisse), Chartered member Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and LEED Accredited Professional. While working for several of the top architectural firms in New York City, Stefanie combined her love of graphics, branding and packaging with her commitment to good architectural, interior and environmental design. Stefanie has had a varied career ranging from designing homes and furnishings for celebrities, restaurants for renowned restaurateurs, shop fittings for luxury brands such as Bally, St. John’s Knits, retail meccas such as Barney’s New York to renovating New York’s Apollo Theater. She has restored the liturgical elements of a Californian cathedral, updated an elite New York City private school and her graphic design skills helped bring the “City Secrets” travel book series to life. Her packaging design skills brought an altogether new idea to Duofold, a century old base-layer company, and helped transform their trade show presence. Most recently at Beyer Blinder Belle Architects & Planners in New York City, Stefanie was the lead interiors architect for the Natick Collection in Natick, Massachusetts for General Growth Properties. Stefanie oversaw and collaborated with RSM Design, Inc. on the comprehensive architectural graphics package, created entirely new tenant criteria packages as well as the innovative interiors.

Stefanie is full of enthusiasm and ideas and I would recommend her without hesitation to help with any size of project. After years of deliberation and not moving forward to renovate our traditional gessienne house, she helped us to focus and turn our ideas into reality. As well as guiding us through choices and helping to establish a budget she has been a superb project manager, taking away all the pressure from us, scheduling each stage and ensuring we got the finish we wanted. We are so happy with the result and excited to work with her again for the next stage - and the great professionals she gets on board!

We asked Stefanie to assist us in renovating the exterior of our 1960s house. The architectural solutions, choice of colors and aesthetic changes that she suggested have given character to what was an otherwise tired-looking construction. Work was carried out under her planning and supervision, within budget and ahead of schedule. All without having to compromise on quality, with great attention for details and forward thinking. We are looking forward to working with her again on our next projects.

Stefanie has just helped us with 2 jobs: updating a small basement bathroom and knocking through a bedroom upstairs to extend the existing master bedroom, build a walk-in wardrobe and a master bathroom. She has been a delight to work with, helping us to figure out our own design preferences and taking all the 'work' out of the project. She helped simplify many of the steps that felt overwhelming - from choosing tiles and fittings to overall layout and design - and has been brilliant at handling the inevitable problems that arise and coming up with numerous solutions. The job is not quite finished but it is wonderful and has more than fulfilled our hopes. We will use Stefanie again in the near future for a couple of other jobs we'd like to do. I recommend her wholeheartedly.

As I am going through the house buying/renovation process Stephanie has been there from the start. She is always available, motivated and enthusiastic to listen and share ideas and visions. She has a good understanding of the housing market in this area and the things to look out for. She also has a reliable range of contacts and is keen to make them available. Stefanie has helped us to transform our garage into a studio for our future au pair. The studio has a separate entrance, a little bathroom and a shower and it is absolutely amazing how much Stefanie got out of such little space (18m2) ! Her taste is simply fantastic and clearly with it’s cozy mezzanine this room is the nicest part of the house. Stefanie has always been in a good mood, responded promptly (less than 24h) and showed to be very present during the construction phase which is quite a change from previous experiences we have had. Her fee was more than reasonable for the service. We can highly recommend her and her construction team.

Stefanie helped me on several renovation projects. She has a fantastic eye for detail and finish, and great taste. I really struggled to find the style and finish that i wanted, and Stef's ability to find acceptable alternatives, and think her way around problems, was invaluable.

Quand nous avons trouvé une maison tout a rénover nous avons tout de suite contacté Stefanie de sasharchitectes pour nous conseiller et nous aider à évaluer si leprojet de rénovation était raisonable et évaluer le budget rénovation que nous devions allouer pour ce projet. Stefanie est venu visiter la maison nous à proposé des options pour rendre la maison plus adapté à nos besoin (isolation exterieur, agrandissement d'une chambre en déplacant la salle de bain sur un espace peu utilisé, instalation d'un escalier central avec aménagement du grenier ajoutant une grande piece...). Stépfanie est une source d'inspiration. Elle est à l'écoute de ses clients et n'est jamais à court d'idées. Malheureusement apres avoir validé le projet avec Stefanie le vendeur à retiré la maison de la vente. Quand nous trouverons un autre projet nous referons apelle à Stefanie de sasharchitectes sans hésiter. Merci Stefanie pour ton aide précieuse.
