Kitchen layout — help please!!

in the process of a new build. all ticking along nicely but now its time to start making decisions about whats going on inside. So this is our kitchen concept design. the cupboards with the red X are going to be removed which is shown on the floor plan but not the 3d graphics. so my question is... do we move the island bench to the right 1 meter and make it flush with the end wall. it means we would have to walk around to get into the kitchen but it would move the over hang seating area further away from the front door, which would be better (even though we never get visitors anyway and we will be using the laundry door lol!). before it was ok, but with the two cupboards removed off the back wall it brings the end of the island bench level with the fridge. if we move it along we sacrifice the waterfall end (saving money i guess, also with it where it is, you wont really see it anyway.) but we would loose the through flow if you know what i mean. the distance between island and back bench is 1300, so not huge, but ok for an "island" style kitchen, might mean, if its moved to the right that if you are in the kitchen and someone else walks in, youll get "stuck"? the island bench is currently 3.6m long by 1m wide. plumbing has been laid in foundation so all sinks etc need to stay in the same place. If the island bench is moved like in option 2 it means that the seating on the left end of the island moves closer to the hallway doorway, which we are trying to keep as clear as possible. any ideas!! thanks :)

With the pantry being located where it is, it provides a opportunity to make it inbuilt and continue your bench top along. This would then provide more bench space and would make sure you are using that wall to its full potential. However for space and flow and to make your kitchen more ascetically pleasing, we would suggest keeping the island bench and making the appliances integrated. This provides opportunity to make that far wall a feature wall, which can be as simple as a blackboard or pictures, to making it a colour feature (depending on you cabinetry) or even to make it high class you could create a wood paneling feature.

I hope this helps, either way you can add bonus features to your kitchen, you can create more storage and bench space with changing the pantry, or you could make a design feature out of that wall. It is up to you and where you design flair may take you.

Bonjour! Is your ceiling unique to the kitchen or continues for another room? You can use the ceiling to add color If just the kitchen. A medium intensity color would warm up the space without making somber. You can also choose a wall as an accent, keeping the rest very pale. Tones of yellow would be nice. See the Benjamin color trends for 2016. A lot of whites accentuated with colors. One room has yellow, but you don't have to go so intense. Also see on houzz "clored" ceilings. You can also use our window frames to add contrast painting them a darker shade of gray or charcoal. It gives character, definition and class Sorry i dont have photos to demontrate at the moment (problem with iphone:( but you can always find on houzz) :) Hope this helps!

Microwave next to the table would solve the bad looks and the height issue. Normally upper cabinets can be about 48cm above countertop, but since it looks better to have them on the same height as the built-in hood, you'll need 60cm. But if you're 1.60m you could consider a free hanging hood and some upper cabinets next to it, otherwise all uppers would be too high for you and you'd only use the lower shelf. And even better: Buy an oven with microwave function! (already posted that I think) Oven with microwave is different than microwave with grill. I even have a 12 year old tiny Panasonic combi that makes perfect bread and pizza!

Ces derniers sont meilleure en finition et juste la couleur qui me reste a chosir. c'est du parquet imitation bois made in spain.
