Help! Window treatment ideas!!

We are in a new house and I cannot decide how to dress up these windows. Love having large windows and light during the day and really do not want to cover them up but we need some privacy at night. Do I use the same curtains in both rooms since it's all open? Should I run curtains from the top windows or just the bottom with panels? Need some ideas and suggestions!!! My walls are very light gray and have dark floors and dark cabinets in the kitchens.

I would be very tempted to use Plantation Shutters to provide flexible privacy and light ingress. To reduce cost, I would be very tempted to leave the top three windows clear of any dress (although perhaps the landing (?) that the photo is being taken from is overlooked. Good luck with it :)

Thank you for the input. Not really sure about plantation shutters. Any thoughts on curtains and drapes?

Thanks, indeed. A rug would be an option, but our 2 small kids eat like pigs... This option is for later :0) Does anybody have an idea that fits our minimalistic style? We are not fan of "busy" spaces. Is there any technical solution? Sth we could stick under the table or a trick, magical plants perhaps?

bonjour, ils sont très bien les rideaux que vous avez trouvé, le bleu est bien clair et dans les tons pastels que nous utilisions beaucoup en Scandinavie. Le bleu assortie pour le coussin est parfait. Si vous souhaitez vous rapprocher du style Scandinave il faut choisir entre rideaux et voilage comme on ne mets jamais le deux, beaucoup trop lourd pour nous intérieurs ou on essaye toujours garder une luminosité maximale. En Tunisie vous avez le problème contraire donc il faudra s'adapter et trouver une équilibre entre le style Scandinave et vous besoins. Si vous souhaitez avoir une voilage je conseillerai vivement un blanc uni, sans rayure! votre tableau bleu et jaune sera très bien avec l'ensemble, il est très beau!

Ces derniers sont meilleure en finition et juste la couleur qui me reste a chosir. c'est du parquet imitation bois made in spain.

Hello Velvet Ninja You seem concerned with that one wall. I'm not trying to criticize, the space seems new, with quality materials and well-lit, but have you also noticed the other big white walls? and ceiling? Why just the wall with the mirror? You've got a majority of white, a good dose of black, some chrome / stainless steel details and an uninterrupted shiny pale wood floor. It's relatively astonishing that you have a white door and only one white window, but the other window is black? Everything is relativement anonymous, nice, but nothing too ground-breaking. Is this a rental or your own home? Are you sure that just some art on that one wall will make it cozy and beautiful? Have you thought about any window treatments? Store venetien? Rideaux? Store bateaux? Any type of rug under the dining table? A rug called Bolon, made of woven vinyl fibers, easily cleaned ant anti-allergy. Is the mirror not on the axis of the table on purpose? And why a dark wood? It adds to the "window types", a black one, a white one and the wooden mirror one... Some more information would be helpful. good luck, Lynn

Consider leaving the top open, but perhaps adding high tec UV film to avoid fading of your floor and furnishings. Try top down bottom up shades or cellular blinds on the lower windows. They give you light, privacy and view when you want.
