If by chance any of you is planning to move from your actual
city, village or country straight to London, well, what can I say; it’s a very
good choice. London is the most important political, financial, cultural and
artistic center of the United Kingdom and also one of the most beautiful cities
in the world. It’s a bustling and ever changing city, a mixture of old and
modern architecture, that abounds in cultural riches and all kinds of
concerts. The Great Britain’s capital offers its guests and residents a variety
of temptations for London apartment for long term rent the more interesting the
more…expensive, from impressive museums and palaces to the typical English pubs
that complete the charm of the city on the Thames.

So whether you are moving to London for study purposes or
you’ve grown tired of your own city or native place and want to be part of the
London dream, you must be occupied with trying to find a London apartment for
long term rent. In the first instance, it’s important to know that London is
NOT a cheap city at all, and even if you’re aware of that, you must acknowledge
this fact and be prepared to fork out a quite significant amount of money from
your pocket. If you’re financially secure, then it shouldn’t be any problem for
you to find an apartment where to live, but if you’re not, finding a London
apartment for long term rent might be a little bit difficult.

London apartment for long term rent

Generally, the level of apartment rent in London depends, as everywhere, of the area in which
you want to live and the quarter of that area. An apartment with three rooms
outside the center costs around £1500 a month. In case you want to purchase
one, expect prices up to £5500/sqm. Zone 2 is, for example, a typical area for
those who want to commute in zone 1 (the center) and attend social events a few
times a week. In the North-East area, about 8 km from the center, the rent for
a room with double bed in a house is around £450 with all the other expenses
included. If you want a place only for you, you need at least £600 a month
except bills payment. When renting an apartment in London, it is also important
to check the distance between it and the closest shopping center, hospital,
pharmacy, supermarket and so on, and how far it is from where you are going to
work or study and from your point of interest. A better option would be to
share an apartment with a friend, in case you already know one already living
in London or one that wants to relocate there as well. This means halved
expenses.

As a conclusion, London is certainly a fascinating city to
live in, but don’t let yourself get fooled by its charm, and forget about all
the other aspects that you have to consider before relocating there, because
this could get you in trouble.
