The passion I have for design made a career in this profession my only consideration. To gain practical knowledge in this field, I received a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and began to work with established and respected interior designers and retailers. Expanding on 10+ years of experience, I branched out to start Kimberly Demmy Design.
With my combined passion and experience, I have found nothing more fulfilling than creating functional and aesthetically pleasing environments that have a powerful impact on the lives of my clients.
Kimberly Demmy Design specializes in creating timeless and sophisticated environments that reflect the personality and preferences of the client. Most people have an idea of how they want their space to look, function and feel. Getting your space to translate into a tangible environment that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing isn’t always as easy but Kimberly Demmy Design is here to take you from the initial design through completion.

Our home is a Midcentury Modern gem and we wanted a designer who understood this time period and how to preserve it. For this reason, we chose Kimberly Demmy to be our designer. She worked to help us preserve what we could and add relevant pieces that spoke to the character of the home. Kimberly took our diamond in the rough and made it sparkle and shine. We highly recommend her for her expertise as well as her professionalism! Thanks Kimberly!!! We could not be happier with how our home turned out.

Kimberly and I have collaborated on various design projects over many years and I love her passion! Although we both have strong opinions, we respect one another and trust in the design process to get us to our combined vision. With a little give and take in both directions – I’m always impressed with what we create. Design projects involve many moving parts and it is always nice to work with people who go above and beyond to make something great. Kimberly will be there for you every step of the way!

We did a full scale renovation on our Santa Monica condo and selected Kimberly Demmy to be our designer. After architectural plans were agreed on, Kimberly presented a design plan for our kitchen, bathroom and living spaces. She selected all interior shell details and once that was completed, decorated our home with all new funishings and rugs and also curated our collection of art.
Kimberly had an amazing eye for all of the details and a vision for creating a consistent flow/feel throughout our home. She was highly committed to creating a space that reflected our personal style and was patient and professional during this process (even as we made changes). We are very pleased with the transformation our home and would highly recommend her. Thank you Kimberly!

As an artist – I wanted to work with a designer that had a background in art and had a sophisticated understanding of how to build relationships and meaning through the art as a collective whole. Kimberly was recommended to me by one of her previous clients that had an extensive collection of art and was very happy with the way she designed his home and placed his art seamlessly with the furnishing and architecture of the space. Once Kimberly was acquainted with my art collection and furnishings – I let her work her magic. Now my home feels like a fluid space and I get to enjoy all the pieces I have created and acquired over my lifetime. There is nothing like having a well curated home and Kimberly has just the eye and experience to make it all come together. We will definitely work with Kimberly on all future projects.

Kimberly designed our LA loft and she was responsible for selecting all finishes, furniture, and accessories, including art. She also designed some custom pieces for our home. All I can say is… what a transformation! Our loft was a dated mess and after Kimberly got done with it – it was a showpiece. Now our home represents our tastes and we couldn’t have gotten there with out Kimberly! We highly recommend her.

Kimberly worked with us on our SF home and we highly recommend her. She was professional and helped us stay calm during times of stress with our remodel. She explained what to expect during the design process and always had creative solutions for any unexpected issues. What I liked best about her – is her vision. She has a knack for creating workable spaces with difficult floor plans. Our home turned out beautifully and I will continue to call on Kimberly for my future design needs.

My husband and I have really enjoyed working with Kimberly. She has been fun to work with, works hard to take our personal taste into consideration, and has been understanding about our desire to break designing our home into smaller more manageable pieces. Kimberly has helped us create a comfortable modern space in our great room where our family spends most of our time while at home. We look forward to working with her as we continue our home design project.

Before I met Kimberly, my townhouse, which I share with my 15 year old daughter, was a hodgepodge of furniture, high end music accessories, art, and a chaotic color palate that was neither functional nor attractive. Using much of what I already owned, with the judicious additions of new rugs, chairs, paint, window coverings and desk, plus creative space planning, Kimberly created a coherent and inviting home environment. She accomplished this within budget, with careful listening and easy dialog.
The best. Highly recommended, without any reservations.

Kimberly became my neighbor and after watching her remodel her home, I decided to start working with her. I loved what she did to her homes interior and exterior and her attention to detail. We live in a historically landmarked neighborhood and I needed somebody who understood the significance of that, what we could do to the home to update it and still honor the homes mid century roots. Although I have a good eye and already had some good foundation pieces in place, I was having a difficult time pulling together all the design elements in my home and Kimberly worked with me to bring harmony to my space. She also assisted me in selecting the new exterior color scheme for my home. In lieu of keeping the colors as they were, she suggested I change the colors altogether and I’m glad we did because it turned out beautifully. Kimberly recognized the importance of paint colors and I have gotten more compliments from neighbors since it was completed. Kimberly gave me sound advice and helped me bring all the design elements of my space together in a tasteful way while honoring the integrity of the home. She’s professional and has great intuition and vision while being fun to work with. Thanks Kimberly.

I cannot thank Kimberly enough for her help with my design. She steered me clear of making major design flaws that not only would have turned out poorly, they would have affected the value of my home or would have been costly to correct. She was open minded and willing to discuss any and all design areas from exterior finish to baseboard measurements. Her ideas were flexible, making adjustments to the concept to make the design more suitable to my lifestyle, i.e. it is beautiful and functional. She was also conscious of my budget restraints and gave me excellent ideas on where to shop for pieces that would fit my budget but still meet the desired design goal. I am very pleased to have worked with Kimberly and will definitely call her again on my next project.

Before I started working with a designer, I had purchased furniture, rugs, and accessories I thought I would love. Although I had beautiful pieces, they did not work together as well as I had hoped. Kimberly was able to create a cohesive design scheme that eliminated what wasn't working and incorporated in new pieces that my gave my space the "wow" factor I was looking for. I now receive many compliments on my home and recommend Kimberly's design services often.

A commenté : IS the floor slate, or a something that just looks like slate?This was custom made using a Wilson Art Laminate. I no longer have the finish name, but you should be able to contact Wilson Art and they could lead you in the right direction based on the image.
