An amazing transformation that took only 6 weeks.
The oak cabinets, stone wall and Cambria backsplash behind the stove. Simple, but very warm and nice. Also, the fireplace is a surprise element. White countertops, but I'd use quartz. It's heavier than I had been imagining, but I like it.
The light brown wood cabinets. I don't like the marble wrapping on the island or the dark countertops.
Large shower, small sink might fit in my bathroom. Yellow light fixture.
The yellow backsplash. It looks like wallpaper or paint, but it's tile. The textures on cabinets, backsplash, floor, wood stools. It's not a lot of match stuff.
I like the curved counter height counter on the left with a single pedestal. It turns out that it's the extension of a countertop with a microwave over the counter.
I like the colors: the blue with the orange, red, green.
I like the painted cabinets and lighter feel of the room. The change to white counter tops and lighter backsplash made all the difference.
I like the blue, white and wood mix. One wall white, two walls, marine blue.
This is about the size of my bathroom. They use a curtain instead of glass wall for the shower, a good idea to allow elbow room at the sink. The cabinet is too bulky. I very much dislike the tile run vertically. I don't like this bathroom, but it shows that these fixtures can be fit into the space I have - and I actually have about 7ft 6 in instead of just 7ft.
Exactly the size and configuration I have for my master bath. The problems are: I could not put plumbing into an exterior wall. I'd still have to have the faucet mounted onto the vanity/sink top. I don't like this bathroom. I'd go with one color throughout so the space wasn't cut up. I'd also put in a tall narrow mirror to add visual space. I have a window where the niche is above the toilet, which limits the vanity and shower width. I think I'd go with a wall-mounted sink with less bulky cabinet, if any. Storage at the far end of the shower, not in view, might make sense. Maybe a waterproof medicine chest in the far wall of the shower for storage? the fixed glass saves visual space, but I'd be knocking my elbows on it when washing my face at the sink. I'd rather use a curtain I could tie back when not in use, thereby providing elbow room when no one is in the shower. And, if I have a sink without a cabinet, it doesn't matter if it gets wet.
I could definitely do a kitchen with this brick wall and soft-colored cabinets. I think this still looks too severe in terms of lines, but it's a good start.
A porch I could do without a lot of expense perhaps. I like the wood, tile floor and black furnishings. Tile floor could be heated for year-round use?
Could I do something like this for a 10x12ft shed that could be used like a retreat in the summer? A total lean-to style, with the higher wall having a loft for storage.
I like the simplicity and crispness of the blue walls, white carpet, frames on the art, lampshades and furniture; luggage tan headboard, black bed frame and wood floors
The pass through frames a view of the kitchen nicely and fits well with the back splash window
This two height shelving might work in the living room or office.
I like the closed storage with open shelves above for the living room and/or office/guest room.
I .like the blue wall color for an office.
This could work in my back bedroom.
I like this wall arrangement, but would make the cabinets on each end shorter.
Something like this could work for me: the long shelf over the TV and shelf to the left of the TV, storage cabinet under the TV.
These shelves look nice, even empty, but could be used for books or objects.
This shelving might work in my kitchen.
These shelves look like a work of art even without anything on them. They don't seem overwhelming. Maybe because they don't have doors and walls and the lines are thin.
The shelves are too much. they are too high and the number of items are overwhelming.
Do I want cabinets like this? It seems the closed cabinet distances the objects from the viewer. I think I'd prefer open cabinets that are more accessible, giving the impression that the objects are functional and used regularly.
RE: shelves. Would this work for my eating area?
This works for a guest room and office desk.
This works for me.
I like this color scheme.
This TV and chair arrangement would work for me in the living room.
I like the scale of the table and chairs for my kitchen.
I do like the X type legs on a table desk. It's open, not so imposing as a desk with file drawers.
I can set mine up like this with the couch on the right, a desk facing the window and then a TV on the left where the fireplace is in this photo. This shows what blue walls would look like.
I like the colors: white with blue backs on the bookcases with a wood desk. Clean, simple, but warm.
I could do something like this on the back window wall: a desk plus two bookcases that aren't overwhelming. But id sit looking out the window.
This looks open and airy. I like the concept of a separate table for a desk or workspace instead of something against a wall.
Overwhelming with all the built-ins.
I like the simplicity, the colors, the light. The contrasts of the darker grays and whites with a touch of wood and pattern in the carpet pulling it all together.
I do not want a wall that looks like this.
This is a sharp room. A lot of contrast makes it stunning. Its contemporary while still being warm and inviting.
I could turn my rug in the other direction and move the couches closer together.
I could turn my rug the other direction and leave more space at the two ends of my room for desk, book shelves, piano, etc.
This is kind of like my living room layout. A wall of book shelves, storage and a large TV basically opening the seating arrangement to that wall while not ignoring the fireplace.
Interesting concept of chairs/stools behind the sofa. It suggests I could put a desk behind a sofa.
I like the mantel.
