This is a perfect example of a residential galley kitchen. The sink is on the opposite wall but still maintains the tight work triangle. It's likely that there's a kitchen table near where the photographer was standing. Adding a kitchen table would be another way that the galley kitchen can be modified to meet the needs of a modern family.
“True ornament is not a matter of prettifying externals. It is organic with the structure it adorns.” Frank Lloyd Wright’s design sentiment is truly appropriate to the Spirit range hood by Futuro Futuro. The top element balances the visual presence with an intermediate step, adding a counterpoint to the innovative design that makes the Spirit series range hoods the perfect finishing touch for the modern kitchen environment. Like other Futuro Futuro stainless steel kitchen range hoods, the Spirit series vent hoods are made from highest-grade AISI 304 stainless steel, and showcase the famous Italian craftsmanship along with advanced technology. The tangential blower is mounted inside the patented Futuro Futuro sound-absorbing chamber, creating a kitchen ventilation solution that’s powerful and quiet. Touch-sensitive, illuminated electronic control panel includes convenient features such as delayed shut-off, filter cleaning reminder (filters are dishwasher-safe), and more.
The “Loft” series of designer Italian range hoods from Futuro Futuro are an excellent choice for any modern or contemporary kitchen. With its sleek proportions, the “Loft” kitchen hood provides powerful ventilation without overwhelming the design of the modern kitchen. Made in Italy from highest-grade AISI 304 stainless steel, and equipped with a powerful yet whisper-quiet 940-CFM blower, the “Loft” range hood combines European quality with advanced technology. Touch-sensitive electronic control panel provides access to 4 selectable speeds, and includes features such as Delayed Shut-Off and Filter Cleaning Reminder. The kitchen can be among the most challenging projects when remodeling a midcentury home. The large, open kitchens we often dream of can far exceed the floor plan of the original space. Expanding the layout can be expensive, as space will have to be carved from adjoining rooms or an addition will need to be placed on the home.
The back side of the home faces Oregon's coastal mountain range, so Schnell and his team opened up this house to take advantage of those views and the beautiful Northwestern light. The kitchen island was designed with ample counter space so that prep work could be done while facing the view. Upper cabinetry was limited to keep the kitchen feeling open, so drawer organization systems were installed in the island to hold glasses and other dishes.
This modern kitchen features a large center island and an open concept design. The wall cabinets have slab doors with integrated pulls and the island cabinets have white oak veneer with a horizontal grain, stained to match the white oak hardwood floors. The counter is Caesarstone quartz and the back splash is a milk porcelain tile. You'll also find an undermount sink, high arc faucet, Bertazzoni cooktop and hood, a Bosch dishwasher, a Summit wine cooler, an integrated refrigerator, and Bertazzoni double wall ovens. Loft grande black pendant lights and a NanaWall glass door system complete this space.
An open-concept kitchen with large amounts of storage utilizing white cabinets, countertops, a built-in hutch, and kitchen island. The kitchen island comes with drawers, cabinets, shelves, a spot for the microwave (to avoid taking up counter space), and a seating area. Dark hardwood floors, an off-white subway tile backsplash, and stainless steel appliances and pendant lighting give contrast to the mostly white-colored room, giving it a bright, clean, and balanced look.
An interior build-out of a two-level penthouse unit in a prestigious downtown highrise. The design emphasizes the continuity of space for a loft-like environment. Sliding doors transform the unit into discrete rooms as needed. The material palette reinforces this spatial flow: white concrete floors, touch-latch cabinetry, slip-matched walnut paneling and powder-coated steel counters. Whole-house lighting, audio, video and shade controls are all controllable from an iPhone, Collaboration: Joel Sanders Architect, New York.
The previous kitchen was not an inviting space, and it didn’t have room where people could gather or hang out. The room beyond it is the former dining room.
Organic Modernism in Seattle.
This wood peninsula has both warm golden tones and stylish horizontal lines.
I love an all-white kitchen: tiles, counters, cabinets. It's clean and bright and open.
The kitchen is considered the heart of the home, and that feels even more true for bustling families.
The grain of the walnut on this island is all this modern kitchen needs in terms of ornamentation.
Many spaces are both modern and contemporary, and people often use the terms interchangeably, but there are differences in look and terminology. “Contemporary” typically means of the moment or current, the design of right now.
Storage Solutions - This island offers a convenient location for a secondary prep sink. “Loft” Living originated in Paris when artists established studios in abandoned warehouses to accommodate the oversized paintings popular at the time. Modern loft environments idealize the characteristics of their early counterparts with high ceilings, exposed beams, open spaces, and vintage flooring or brickwork. Soaring windows frame dramatic city skylines, and interior spaces pack a powerful visual punch with their clean lines and minimalist approach to detail. Dura Supreme cabinetry coordinates perfectly within this design genre with sleek contemporary door styles and equally sleek interiors. This kitchen features Moda cabinet doors with vertical grain, which gives this kitchen its sleek minimalistic design.
