Sarah's Bathroom planning
Someone designing better tiny bathrooms typical inner western sydney
Budget and layout challenges clearly stated
Love her bathroom design
Costing definitions, clear description sizing of room
layout notes, plumbing and fixtures notes
Like their bathroom with the top hung mirrored cabinet doors in grey.
Ensuite is about the same size as our household. bathroom. I like the texture wall and the wall or mirrored storage (already planning to use this in our planned Reno) and the towel rail
Black grout on white tiles, nice contrast. Would probably work in our bathroom which has old art deco yellow tiles combined with black feature tiles, rims and ceramic towel rails. Need to look for some yellow/black/other vanity (current cheap one doesn't match rest of original bathroom). Also the floor tiles don't match anything else in the bathroom
Use of whole wall mirror to make space look bigger, increase lighting
I love this niche for toilet paper so it's close at hand instead of cupboards away when the roll runs out.
Marimeko shower curtain, need to go shopping for one!
glass shower screen instead of curtain
I love the short deep freestanding bath, where can i buy one of these in Australia I wonder?
Love the glass bricks and varying shape, size and orientation.
For Peters bedroom...
Shower item nook built into wall. disguised by use of pebble finish all the way around the wall.
Great modern take on art deco themed bathroom
bathroom looks similar size to ours, space has been maximised by close fitting all plumbing features and brightened by using the white tiles, but still has features like wood (front of bath, vanity cabinet and mirror surround.
the plunge pool sized tub combined with the shower and wall hung vanity and use of mirrors and windows to lighten the space. Also the extra texture added by use of miniature tiles on the fascia of the plunge tub.
I really love the idea of using a barn door for our bathroom as the space is small and brick walls means we have no cavity like a stud internal wall house to install a hidden sliding door. But how to make it fit with the art deco door archetraves-challenging.
Bi-fold doors are my other favorite option for the bathroom - I'd like to have them made using the glass from the original deco period door that is currently on the bathroom - which means if I can't find a carpenter i might just have to do it myself.
I really like this idea but it won't work with our current bathroom. Maybe keep it in mind for the next house :-)
I plan to use these in our bathroom renovation; wall hung cabinets -wide as possible- with drawers. But i also love having painted the inside of the drawers with a bright non-white colour matching the towel hung next to the cabinet.
the idea of installing subway style tiles with original art deco pendant light in the bathroom
Vertical subway tiling pattern in bathroom with lots of mirror cabinets to increase light, something like my plan for the bathroom.
similar situation to our bathroom (space-wise) interesting shower fittings
art deco towel warming rails-cool!
hydronic tail warming rails
coloured bathroom fittings
black tiles and white fittings
I really like the benchtop to window into shower recess look
I really like this idea for holding soap bars above the sink. Now if I could just fit one in the shower we would have it made.
would it be wrong to install this in our bathroom reno :-) I see a lower wall so you can just lie down in the bath but still step over the glass to have a shower too. probably best in a wet bathroom.
In floor bath, to make space look larger. Would a semi-sub-floor bath achieve the same effect in a small bathroom?
I really like the combination of green subway style tiles with wooden vanity in this picture.
Fold up shower seat
Under-vanity lighting for night-light access/effect
Moveable/portable loo-paper holder. Also easy to change rolls as is just a slip on/off.
Colour ceiling, white/pale everywhere else to make bathroom look larger. Art deco light fitting - and we have a few of the original ones from the rest of the house to spare for this. love the sconces around the AD mirror but we would definitely need more storage than this bathroom has.
Hook for towel storage, given our limited wall space this is something I need to consider if I can't somehow attach rails to a fixed glass/shower screen.
Vertical rectangular brick pattern for our bathroom, or really big vertical oriented rectangular tiles
I actually like this idea for both bathroom and our kitchen, after reading the words "an excellent choice for compact kitchens..." if any single word accurately describes our kitchen it's "compact".
Love the little shelves built in under the medicine cabinet (wall glass fronted cabinets) for easy access stuff.
I've been looking for supplier who stocks a short deep bathtub here in Australia for years after using one in a tiny apartment with a wet bathroom design in Japan when I visited my brother. Loved that tub, I could sit neck deep, lean back slightly and my toes touched the other end.
hidey hole for toilet rolls :-)
