1. A Place to Work From Home A walnut-base island is the hub of this kitchen designed by Melinda Woodruff of M Woodruff Design in Annapolis, Maryland. Serving as the home workspace for one of the owners, the island features bar stool seating, drawers for papers and even a shelf under the counter (with outlets at the back) for the homeowner to store a laptop and other work tools. Three-inch-thick quartz counters — Listra by Pental — top the island, adding contrast to the rich wood while coordinating with the white perimeter counters and cabinets.
Oh. If only
Counter extends outward in centre
Like how the shape (but NOT the colour...YUK) go with the shape of the bar stools.
wonder if these pennant lights would work over the island?
Interesting use of colour...like also the "bar" idea
Hmmm, like the idea of a pull out coffee area...but where to put it so as not to knock into it?,
Like the wider, yet narrow version of these pull-outs.
Good use of space for necessary items....trays, rooted veggies, even wine bottles on their sides as they ought to be...
I like!
what about a hanging seat in the new foyer, under the window that will be staying? Oh that had great potential...it can open for storage, yet make floor sweeping easy!! YES!
Love that Roman blind. Can see it above the patio door area beginning at the ceiling so is folds up at the top of the door frame.
Great ideas if you live where house flies and mosquitoes are not the common pests of the summer season. Love the feel of openness and pure light...
Like the uppers that come to the counter with glass doors.
Visualize this set of cabinetry with a cupboard half the height of the window...voila, new area in kitchen
Like the small shelf over the sink....seems to finish off the uppers nicely
Like the framed-in cabinetry
Just imagine our base cabinets like this...
Like the design of this bank of cupboards. the painted inside would be a bonus but no necessary...petter to have it easy to clean
is this what we want from our kitchen? Is it worth the effort?
Slate seems to be a good way to go for counter tops...$60.00/ft x 30' = $1800.00 ...well be prepared...
Possibilities galore!
Broom closet...another possibility
Looks like our future pantry area
Good idea
Colour choice....repeated throughout yet not everywhere
Uppers where a bulkhead would be....extra "fancy" storage
Same basic footprint of what we want
Oh, oh,oh! So snazzy!
Notice the upper cabinet flush with fried front
Aha! A great place for trays!
Yes
Possibly
Yup, yup, and yup
Still a consideration
Yes
Like this framing with white ceiling and what is that green on the farthest wall....nice
Good idea
Two-sided Glass cupboard
Charging station.....hidden message board....bank of light switches all in one place...nice, very nice.
Now that has potential....the drop ceiling with the sky light look
Like those pendant lights
Like the towel rungs at the end of the island
Wahoo! Love the hidden recepticales
Tray drawer!
Always liked this idea
