Strening Architects

We were embarking on our first remodel and it was going to be a big one. We aren't strangers to quality design and aesthetics, but there was no way we were going to be able to articulate this as we tore our house to pieces. That we did all of this during the birth of our first child only adds to the amount of hand-holding we needed. Danny brought a sincere professionalism and made us feel like true collaborators, even if he was providing a lot of the leadership. He balanced visual concerns with matters of utility, making it feel like we were getting a safe, beautiful, modern dwelling in which to raise a family, not an expensive museum project. He was responsive, friendly, funny, and, most importantly, he listened to us. Danny took our meandering ideas, and integrated them into the remodel in ways we hadn't considered, often saving us time and money. Additionally, Danny navigated the challenging county permitting system for us, advocating for the intended use of the structures (our deck is not a future bedroom for which we need an expanded septic) and negotiating certain requirements (a mandatory carport that would've taken up half the front lawn). He was available for consultations with our construction team and was often on site, taking in their feedback and bringing us into the conversation when needed. As a small house remodel, it wasn't the kind of project architects dream of, but Danny gave us tremendous attention and made us feel like he took this every bit as seriously as we did. We're very happy with the entire experience and would recommend him wholeheartedly. We're convinced that he maximized what we were able to do with our money while broadening our hopes of what our home could function and exhibit.

Daniel Strening provided a vision with specific details that helped us link previous remodeling jobs into an integrated, beautiful space which links our outdoor and indoor areas seamlessly together.
