Beach Hut ideas
So, this small day hut , Hut 501 known as the little black hut ( no overnights allowed) is but 7 foot by 7 foot square . This hut sold for £40,000 twice in the last decade. It has lovely views of the Needles on the Isle of Wight 8 miles away. I was the previous owner's consultant and made the solar shield/shutter on gas struts. It was a great improvement on the heavy 1970's original even though the whole hut was designed by a famous local architect, Gordon Robbins (deceased) of Cheshire Robbins architects in Christchurch, Dorset , England.. That said, many things can be tinkered with some more. Tensegrity is an ultimate ambition for this site! There are so many things that can add value to a simple shed like form. A Princess is one. Or if you are a techie, something you can add or take away to make the experience batter.
Not that I am sure how best to utilise a novel feature or forge a derivative. It is just when you sit in a hut you become aware of what a strut is, what a tie is, how the forces act on your shelter from many elements that would destroy you. But a new owner has changesd its exterior , now it is a green twee thing I was not responsible for. Such is life. but this was a project celebrated in my sister beachhutman site, yet to be revived after an accident with Apple not supporting iWeb via Mobileme anymore.
