Robeson Design
Hand forged Iron Railing and decorative Iron in various geometric patterns gives this Southern California Luxury home a custom crafted look throughout. Iron work in a home has traditionally been used in Spanish or Tuscan style homes. In this home, Interior Designer Rebecca Robeson designed modern, geometric shaped to transition between rooms giving it a new twist on Iron for the home. Custom welders followed Rebeccas plans meticulously in order to keep the lines clean and sophisticated for a seamless design element in this home. For continuity, all staircases and railings share similar geometric and linear lines while none is exactly the same.

The entryway has impressive cathedral ceilings from vertical grain Douglas Fir. The entry lights are an artistic combination of blue and clear glass pendants. The walls are French oak with built in nooks for art display. The doors are double entry from Rift Sawn White Oak.
There is a built in desk with a built in custom aquarium that creates a view between the living room and dining room.
Two large, frosted glass pivot doors open into a separate office and play room.

This formally Edwardian home was seismically upgraded and completely remodeled into a modern residence consisting of concrete, steel and glass. The three story structure is served by an elevator and rests on an exposed concrete garage accessed by a grated aluminum gate. An eight by six foot anodized aluminum pivoting front door opens up to a geometric stair case with etched Starfire guardrails. The stainless steel Bulthaup kitchen and module systems include a 66 foot counter that spans the depth of the home.
