Simple StepsThis modern shower surface used tiles made from recycled stone dust, and come in a variety of tones and textures. The color shown is PB 3108 R and its in the brushed texture.

The large shower area features 2”x6” Zumi Structured Glass tiles in natural Stronom color – a subtle yet alluring glow is created when light is cast on these handmade tiles. By stark contrast, the 4”x24” Absolute Black granite is used for the shower floor, framed by a 3” curb of the same striking material, creating a wonderful juxtaposition of ethereal light and dramatic dark. Opal Storm marble is used for the floor outside the shower area – its exquisite black and white veining and texture is reminiscent of a painting, carefully laid out to create the impression of a marble slab rather than tile. Renae Farley DesignsThis guest bath use to be from the 70's with a bathtub and old oak vanity. This was a Jack and Jill bath so there use to be a door where the toilet now is and the toilet use to sit in front of the vanity under the window. We closed off the door and installed a contemporary toilet. We installed 18" travertine tiles on the floor and a contemporary Robern cabinet and medicine cabinet mirror with lots of storage and frosted glass sliding doors. The bathroom idea started when I took my client shopping and she fell in love with the pounded stainless steel vessel sink. We found a faucet that worked like a joy stick and because she is a pilot she thought that was a fun idea. The countertop is a travertine remnant I found. The bathtub was replaced with a walk in shower using a wave pattern tile for the back wall. We did a frameless glass shower enclosure with a hand held shower faucet
Interiors by PopovThe powder room we were called to tackle had a severe case of “green fever”. Emerald green floor, neon green walls, outdated oak framed vanity were the original finishes from 1984. The homeowners wanted to create a sophisticated 21st century powder room and were willing to step out of their comfort zone. They asked us to come up with a sleek and stylish solution for this tiny space.
We replaced everything from floor to ceiling, creating a dark and dramatic space. We incorporated 3D geometric tile on a feature wall to add texture and interest. Medium tone modern vanity with white countertop create a nice contrast against the dark walls.
We also came up with an idea to style this room two ways so our client could choose their favorite. One option was to limit the color scheme to a neutral palette creating a calm and monochromatic look. The second option included bright coral accents adding vibrancy and energy to the room.
The result: a happy client, gorgeous powder room and two ways to showcase it!
