This 1600+ square foot basement was a diamond in the rough. We were tasked with keeping farmhouse elements in the design plan while implementing industrial elements. The client requested the space include a gym, ample seating and viewing area for movies, a full bar , banquette seating as well as area for their gaming tables - shuffleboard, pool table and ping pong. By shifting two support columns we were able to bury one in the powder room wall and implement two in the custom design of the bar. Custom finishes are provided throughout the space to complete this entertainers dream.

However, without having anywhere to expand into, the bathroom size could not be changed. Our solution was to keep it bright and clean. By removing the tub and having a clear shower door, you give the illusion of more open space. The previous tub/shower area was cut down a few inches in order to put a 48" vanity in, which allowed us to add a trough sink and double faucets. Though the overall size only changed a few inches, they are now able to have two people utilize the sink area at the same time. White subway tile with gray grout, hexagon shower floor and accents, wood look vinyl flooring, and a white vanity kept this bathroom classic and bright.

Embracing the notion of commissioning artists and hiring a General Contractor in a single stroke, the new owners of this Grove Park condo hired WSM Craft to create a space to showcase their collection of contemporary folk art. The entire home is trimmed in repurposed wood from the WNC Livestock Market, which continues to become headboards, custom cabinetry, mosaic wall installations, and the mantle for the massive stone fireplace. The sliding barn door is outfitted with hand forged ironwork, and faux finish painting adorns walls, doors, and cabinetry and furnishings, creating a seamless unity between the built space and the décor.
