ZepbooThis project is a customer case located in Manila, the Philippines. The client's residence is a 95-square-meter apartment. The overall interior design style chosen by the client is a fusion of Nanyang and French vintage styles, combining retro elegance. The entire home features a color palette of charcoal gray, ink green, and brown coffee, creating a unique and exotic ambiance.
The client desired suitable pendant lights for the living room, dining area, and hallway, and based on their preferences, we selected pendant lights made from bamboo and rattan materials for the open kitchen and hallway. French vintage pendant lights were chosen for the living room. Upon receiving the products, the client expressed complete satisfaction, as these lighting fixtures perfectly matched their requirements.

北野彰作建築研究所ダイニングルームとの境目には壁格納型の両引き分け木製無垢建具が有ります。上吊りノンレールですので床面に溝や段差が一切なくお手入れも楽々です。木製建具は両面組子のガラス入りなので相当な重量が有りますが適切な耐荷重レールを採用、しかもソフトクローズゆえ開閉が楽なうえ手に伝わる重厚感がホンモノを感じて頂けるかと思います。

北野彰作建築研究所リビングルームと畳コーナーとの境目の空間も夜になると様相が一変します。市松状に貼り替えられた（濃い色の部分が障子紙の二重張り）デザイン障子が昼間とは違って輝き始め、規則正しく整然と並べられた光の濃淡を愉しむことができます。

北野彰作建築研究所陽が沈んで辺りが暗くなり始めて照明を灯すと昼間とは違った雰囲気が現出してきます。床材が反射性の高い素材であると別種のインテリアの輝きが出てきます。最近はタイルの大型化が進みセラミックゆえある程度の防滑性等の機能性を付加した商品も出ています。床暖房もモチロン可能です。

北野彰作建築研究所更に夜の帳が降りる頃、益々リビングルームとダイニングルームの空間の違いが明瞭になります。建築は素材や形状だけでなくライティングによって全く違うテイストになり得ることを如実に表しているショットかと思います。住宅の設計は時間軸を加えたシーンを想定すべきと考えます。

北野彰作建築研究所単調になりがちの大空間に変化を付けるため様々な素材に強弱を付けたり仕掛けを施すことにより豊穣なる空間が生まれることを意図しました。天井の微妙な段差、素材の切り替え、適度な位置のアイストップ、移動する間仕切り建具、意匠を凝らしたデザイン建具、伝統と先進の相克的構図等々、ハイブリッドのもたらす間にマニエリスティックな手法を駆使しています。
北野彰作建築研究所広大なリビングルームの一角に和室を設けました。ならばと空間的には繋がってはいても壁格納のデザイン障子で仕切ることが出来るし、影と天井の仕上げも和室に相応しい仕上材を採用しました。天井は手造りの細密ルーバー天井、壁は彩色和紙貼り、床は縁無し畳で仕上げました。

北野彰作建築研究所夜景の撮影が終わり家の中に戻って戸締りをしているとき、たまたま見つけた光景が余りに美しくカメラマンさんに機材を再び出してもらって撮影した画像です。今後のデザイン展開の方向性にヒントを与えてくれそうな気がしました。丸一日の撮影立ち合いで身も心もクタクタでしたが、これを見た途端、急速に元気が出たことを覚えています。
