I have known Greg Hall since 2010. He initially did some siding installation for my personal residence with great results. Since that time I have come to know him in my capacity as a small business owner who manages properties on the Crystal Coast of NC. During my day to day routine I deal with various sub contractors in different fields, from roofing to electrical. Invariably, the conversation with these subs often drifts to "who do you know" and "what experience have you had with "X" contractor". More often than not, someone will have less than a glowing opinion of someone they have done work for in the past. Not the case with Greg. Greg's reputation among all of the subs that I do business with has been universally positive. Greg has always struck me as a hardworking, hands-on, visible and committed General Contractor who cares deeply about the clients he works for. Whenever anyone asks me for a recommendation for a builder, I don't hesitate to recommend Greg and Ace Builders.

This is our second really great experience with Mr. Hall and Ace Builders. He built our first home in Emerald Isle in 2011 which we sold last April and purchased a larger lot. Greg started construction last July and we are now moved in but still only part time residents. This is our fifth build from scratch and we have renovated two small office/apartment rentals in Indiana, Pa., so we have some experience with building contractors!!! Nothing has come close to our experience with Greg and Aimee Hall. The degree of professionalism and level of expertise in extremely impressive. I have been a business owner since 1988 and have the necessary level of skepticism to successfully prosper and grow a business without anyone taking advantage of me. We told Greg when we started this latest project that he was not bidding against anyone else and you should NEVER tell a contractor that. Our faith and confidence in Greg was such that it was never in doubt who would build our home. That fact alone should tell you what we think about Greg Hall. DO NOT hire anyone else. We know and have worked with other quality contractors but none that we can say are as capable, trustworthy and skilled as Greg Hall. He is exceptional. No better way to describe it.

I am very glad that I selected ACE to build my custom home. Starting from my hand sketch Greg and Susan Monette helped me develop a detailed plan that considered both style and function. The best part of working with Greg was that he always answered my call and took the time to respond to my concerns. Working with Greg and his subcontractors felt like teamwork. When there where problems he took care of them without hesitation. He said he wanted me to be happy and I believe it. My home isn't a big home or a fancy home but it's my dream home and I could not be happier with the the results.

We hired Ace Builders to build a custom workshop for us. They were very professional and dependable. They kept the work sight clean and kept us updated with photos while we were out of town. They finished the job in a timely manner and stuck to our budget. We are very happy with the workshop and highly recommend Ace Builders for any of your construction needs.

We were referred to Greg Hall / Ace Builders when we were contemplating purchasing a lot on the island. Since the property looked to be a difficult build our concern was that it could not be done so we reached out to Ace to see if it was even worth moving forward. Greg was very open to meeting with us and immediately moved forward to help us decide if the lot would suite our needs. Within a few days Greg walked our property, met with contractors, and had pulled permits / surveys AND gave us feedback. This is just the type customer service we received from Ace from the get go and throughout our building process. We decided to purchase the property and after contacting previous customers we signed a contract with Ace and have never regretted it for a single moment. Ace worked seamlessly with our architect (SM Monette Designs) which made the building process very smooth and effortless. The contractual aspects of our build were spelled out, accurate, and there were no surprises. We stayed on budget (only going above when we decided to upgrade finishes or make changes). Greg was was extremely responsive when we communicated our questions, concerns,- making building a home remotely as stress free and effortless as possible. Ace uses quality tried and true subcontractors whom they have used for years to assure a quality build (which we can see in our home). Our house is solid, well constructed, and expertly crafted - we couldn't be more pleased with it. I would highly recommend Ace Builders in Emerald Isle, NC without hesitation and if we ever had the opportunity to build again in the area we would definitely use Ace again.
