ABBEY CARPET & FLOOR - Puyallup

Devastated. Our family is devastated with the customer service and quality of carpet we received on our whole house carpet install. We spent over $14,000 and the project lasted more than 4.5 months. The carpet we ordered was installed even though it didn’t match at any of the seams both upstairs and downstairs. Two different colors! Then we waited for a whole house replacement but lived with our home in chaos as we waited for the second choice to arrive. No compensation for the inconvenience or time lost off of work even though Abbey was reimbursed for the manufacture error. We lost time off of work and all our traditions during Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Years and Valentines Day because our house was out of order! I couldn’t even get to our fireplace to hang the kids’ stockings for Christmas morning. They promised a “we are sorry” basket when it was all over that was never fulfilled. In fact, they aren’t returning our emails about our molding that was damaged during the two installs. Sad to report we can’t recommend this company after the horrible, devastating experience we endured.

My husband and I had four different companies come to our house to talk about flooring options and give us a bid. Abbey Carpet & Floor Puyallup stood out above the rest. I appreciated their calm, no pressure salesperson. She was prompt with her communications and her bid. She went out of her way to work with my timeline. Their prices are competitive and their products are top quality. The installers were great, too. I also like the idea of supporting a local business instead of a big box store or nationwide company.

Great quality, professional and responsive staff! From the time we walked into the showroom, we were very happy with the customer service and gained confidence in their ability to deliver, and they did. We will definitely go back for our future flooring needs.

Our experience with Abbey Carpets started out well, but in the end the process was stressful and the results were unsatisfactory and disappointing. We had a large project that included a tile shower, tile floors, wood floors, laminate and carpeting. Initially the designer was helpful and patient and Jeremy was engaging and responsive. However, as the process continued and problems began to arise, we had difficulty getting ahold of Abbey Carpets of Puyallup, were told we were too picky and that all the problems were related to someone else's work, despite professional inspections confirming installation errors. More specifically, the cost of the project was not properly assessed or estimated, and the designer did not work within our budget which resulted in significant extra charges. This was finally worked out but required negotiation with the GC and the insurance company. In addition, Abbey uses subcontractors, they do not supervise or inspect the subs' work and they refuse to back up the subs' faulty work. As a result, we have hardwood flooring that is separating and bowing, uneven tile flooring causing drainage problems, chipped tile, and poorly grouted tile that looks unprofessional and is not sealing properly. We do not recommend using Abbey Carpets.

A true gem to work with. Very rare do you find a company that stands behind everything they do plus they are sincerely nice people.

Jeremy is very friendly and professional. The staff was helpful and did a great job assisting with selecting colors and styles of back splash, counter tops and flooring for a look we love.

A wonderful company to deal with. Not only did their estimator save me a huge amount of money (over $2000 dollars) from a near-by competitor's quote, but installed in three rooms over 500 sq ft of premium on-point tile perfectly with little to no waste. The installer was on time, kept my home clean and orderly each day, and was courteous and hard working.
