Absolute Project Management

Absolute Project Management oversaw a major renovation to my Grade II listed apartment. Without them and their guidance on planing permission, structural engineering, the selection of trades persons and advice on fittings, I could not have realised my concept. It was a pleasure to work with the whole team at Absolute Project Management.

Loved working with Absolute - everything was explained so clearly by a super proactive team. Took a lot of the stress away! Experts in their field!!

APM carried out a full renovation of our newly purchased house. The team treated us with the utmost care and were supremely courteous at all times. They guided us expertly through a lengthy and at times stressful process (during lockdown), and were readily available to answer our questions and discuss alternatives. APM offer a great combination of project management skills and practical knowledge of building works and processes, coupled with an expert design sensibility and interior design skills. All in all, a wonderful team and a very satisfying outcome to our project.

We have been delighted to have worked with Absolute Project Management on a number of their projects over the years in providing plantation shutters. We love their work and they achieve some fantastic results in their property renovations for their clients. As a supplier they are also excellent and communicative to work with.

We have just used APM for two projects - one major & one minor. The major was a reasonably big interior overhaul of our newly purchased house - amongst other thing they oversaw completely redoing two bathrooms, changing the floors, rewiring and redoing lighting, redecorating, and some minor external structural work (chimney repair), which was the main project. The minor was getting our old flat in a good state to sell (redecorating and general updating). We were very new to this whole world of building work when we contacted them. Considering starting building is all a bit overwhelming anyway, and at first we were equally overwhelmed by APM's initial approach, as they have a very thorough process which really seemed too detailed for us at the beginning. However, having now been through the whole thing from beginning to end, I understand why front-loading the detail makes for a much smoother project. We were initially really 50/50 as to whether we even needed project managers and were wondering if we could just liase with the builder ourselves... my goodness I'm happy we went with project managers! There were so many things we would have struggled with by ourselves, first and foremost finding a reliable and high quality builder to carry out the works. APM being on site meant we could trust that the project was in hand and would be completed to a high level. I also think that it would have been a lot more expensive in the long run without APM to give us their insight (and, kindly, their corporate discounts). We're now happily in our new home and are really delighted with the results and impressed with how it was all handled. Liz and Zoe were great to work with, didn't mind our barrage of emails, always had time to explain things we didn't understand (lots) and listened to us to make sure they got it right. I would absolutely consider using them in the future to coordinate further works.

Absolute Project Management ran the reburbishment of my 2 bedroom flat in Belsize Park and they did a great job. I challenged them to think about what would meet my sustainability objectives (so new independent water supply, new floor to ceiling windows, zoned heating thermostats and thought around the materials used) and, given I have spinal issues, to design it in a way that would make life more comfortable for me. They were thoughtful and creative and I am delighted with the results. Jo in particular came up with some great ideas that would not have occurred to me and was always available which is so important (particularly when things get stressy with contractors). The costs of refurbishment can be significant and I knew I needed a team who understood where I was coming from and who I could trust - I found that in Cat and Jo.

We cannot recommend the Absolute Project Management team enough! We got in touch with them when we bought our house in Crouch End in Dec 2020. The house was generally move-in ready, but we wanted to make the house our own by taking out a wall, replacing the kitchen island and redecorating. Cat, Jo, Leah and the rest of the team helped us through the initial design phase, getting the room layouts and colours worked out, selecting contractors to do the works, and helping us choose furniture and fixtures (including window treatments). The team were able to "see" the space in a way that my husband and I (with our non-designer brains) couldn't, and make amazing suggestions that really fit with our design aesthetic, even when we struggled to explain what we wanted! In July just as the works were starting up we took off to Canada for the summer feeling confident that everything was progressing in our absence as the Absolute team was project managing everything! We got site visit updates every week with lots of pictures. The communication with Absolute has been excellent from the very start, and we loved that they always offered options, without giving so many choices that we got decision paralysis! As new parents with a young baby, we cannot thank Absolute enough for walking us through the whole process, and for doing it all with a sense of humour and joy! It's clear they love what they do, and we loved working with them. Highly recommended.

APM completely refurbished my entire three bedroom flat from Jan-Sept 2018, and they did a marvellous job – the place is gorgeous now. Previously, it hadn't been touched since the 1970s (apart from some iffy DIY work from the previous owner), so parts of it – the electrics, for instance – were something of a challenge, but APM handled it all very well. I was able to take a fairly hands-off approach and let them sort out most of it, with them checking in with me for various aesthetic/practical decisions, but I know they would also have been a joy to work with more collaboratively if I had wanted more involvement. At one point, the project was plagued by some difficult and demanding upstairs neighbours, and I'd like to commend Cat Hoad for her delicacy, professionalism, and persuasiveness in dealing with them. Thank you, Cat!

Creative, clever, thoughtful and organised, APM helped us with project management and creative planning on a redecoration project on a 5 storey Islington house. I would recommend them very highly.

From the start of the project to the very end, Leah and Cat have been amazing! They are both very professional and efficient, and provide an exceptional service. While we were abroad for the full duration of the project, we were encouraged by their constant updates, comprehensive photos and exhaustive list of budget updates, spreadsheets etc. They provide a one-stop service providing interior design ideas, building works and knowing everyone from cleaners to roofers. We were impressed by the quality of the work they did and the outcome of our project and would highly recommend them.

Cat and Leah, along with their excellent team, did an outstanding job renovating my two bedroom flat in Islington. In the middle of a pandemic, they delivered the project on time and on budget and to a superb standard. Incredible! They had creative yet workable ideas, have excellent taste and are really on top of the details. They are consummate professionals and offer a standard of service that would stand out in any industry. I couldn’t be happier with the result.

I've been working with Absolute Project Management for a few months as a service supplier.
