I can't imagine doing anything major to our home without getting Ajay's input first. He helped us with a home remodel. He has a friendly way of guiding you when you want to make the decisions and stepping to help you in when you are stuck. After our project, it is easy to see Ajay's input. The colors of the walls, trim, and kitchen cabinets complement each other and the rooms seem larger. Our home is warm and inviting, which is what we wanted. Ajay is also very creative when you want to add a statement or a little flair to your home. I can't say enough about how much my wife and I enjoyed our experience with Ajay. He is a pro, so hire him and feel confident you've got one of the best!

Our builder recommended Ajay to us at the very beginning of our new home construction . Looking back now, I am so thankful that he was there with us from the very start! Building a house comes with an overwhelming number of problems and choices, Ajay helped us navigate those challenges and choices and often offered solutions we would have never thought of ourselves. Ajay assisted us with so many aspects of our build that there is no way that I could mention them all here. One of the major changes that we made after he suggested it was a total change of our walk in hidden pantry. Initially, we had kind of a long narrow area that would have worked but wouldn’t be the most ideal. After looking at our plans, Ajay suggested we move a few things around and utilize some hall space from behind the pantry to really open it up. The result is amazing, we sacrificed nothing, lost nothing, and the pantry is much more open and user friendly, not to mention about 20% bigger, all without changing the footprint of our home! Ajay also helped immensely with our countertops. We wanted to spend a majority of our budget in the kitchen, which we did. For the bathrooms, laundry, pantry, and pocket office he helped us to find high quality products at lower cost by utilizing products like opalescence granite, which is inexpensive and beautiful, as well as helped us pick quartzite remnants for other areas in the house. At one point ran into an issue with our oven hood. The required vent pipe was going to be much larger and higher on our wall that we had anticipated. The cabinet maker made the vent hood taller to cover the vent but it would have looked like the twin towers hanging on our wall. Ajay worked with the cabinet maker and redesigned the oven hood so that, visually, it brakes it up into an upper and lower section, all while keeping the straight lines of the other cabinet in the kitchen, which now that it has been installed, is absolutely stunning! From helping to pick tile and tile designs, to cabinets and cabinet colors, to coordinating rooms so that they don’t clash, Ajay was great to work with. He is super flexible and not at all pushy, you can choose to work him as little or as much as you want to. I can’t tell you how comforting it was to be able to lean on him, to be able to call him up or text with quick questions and know he’d be able to help. At the beginning of this project, my wife and I discussed if we could afford having a designer. That sounded to us like something only super rich people could afford. Our opinion after the fact, is that his services have paid for themselves. He found so many ways to improve our house AND save us money. So, if you’re wondering like we did if you can afford a designer, the answer is, if it’s a designer like Ajay, you can’t afford NOT to.

Ajay was great to work with and stayed on top of everything on my design project. I got shades, a drape, an area rug and had wallpapering done. I love the choices we made with Ajay’s advice. He is very responsive to texts, phone calls and emails - I would highly recommend him.

Ajay has been a wonderful resource for me through the process of renovating our condominium. I usually have a hard time making decisions with so many choices for cabinets, flooring, paint, lighting etc. but Ajay streamlined the process to guide me in making the best decisions. Imagine having an unexpected lengthy confinement after a surgery and suddenly deciding you are totally sick of the pale gray wall color in your open concept LR/DR/Kitchen. I found Ajay on his website and was impressed with the review by another "Lois." I thought that was a good omen and called him. He responded promptly even though I wasn't sure he would take on such a small project. He had been in my house about one-half hour when I not only had a new color that I'd never thought of (think a warm latte), but he suggested painting three and one-half of my walls the one color where it had been broken up into two (the pale gray and one very dark gray). He stood at the far middle side of the room and explained what difference it would make in the sight line to the foyer and front door, another thing I would never have thought of. Of course, when the painting was done, it was clear the window treatments had to be updated. With ultimate patience, Ajay worked with me on several iterations of samples. I finally chose to update brown wooden blinds in the LR to solar shades and the vertical blinds on the kitchen patio door to draperies. These changes greatly modernized my 2005-built home. I would not hesitate to call him again for help, small project or not!

Ajay was a tremendous asset in building our house. He utilized his many strong suits and talents while he came alongside of us to make our house a beautiful, comfortable and well laid out home. Ajay’s ability to tweak the floor plan to fit our needs was a game changer for me. He was able to move walls and cleverly rearrange the space exactly to what we wanted out of the existing floor plan as the footings were already poured. He also displayed a brilliant ability to pick out finishes, color schemes and make everything cohesive, all within our budget. He came at a moments notice when had issues with the subs and responded quickly to any issues we had. He was able to problem solve on the spot and truly made a huge difference in the pace of finishing our house. What I truly loved the most about working with Ajay is that he truly listened to what we wanted and he did not push his own agenda. He offered many suggestions and brought ideas to the table, but he was willing to listen to us. He is kind, honoring and brilliant with design. Lastly, he is so well respected in the community and he has so many connections. I started to take notice of how many people spoke highly of him while interacting with them through the building process. Ajay is so dedicated to his clients and made it a pleasant experience. We are truly delighted with working with Ajay!!

Ajay is the best! He has helped me with everything and i actually put him in charge and trusted him with every decision and he never disappointed. Always able to meet and talk. Came to our house whenever we needed him 2 hours away. Talked to the people working in our house when they needed help with placing everything from lights to the island. Talked to everyone we needed and went with me to pick everything out and when i couldnt make it to Sioux Falls he would bring items to my house for me even the lights i wasnt able to pick up. Ajay was excellent to work with on our new build. He really understood and took the time to understand what we wanted and what we liked. I have worked with Ajay on projects for 2 of my houses and his work ethic and attention to detail is outstanding. My last project involved redesigning my master bathroom and walk in closet. I hired Ajay after seeing his portfolio. We remodeled our entire house and Ajay made it so easy!!!! He got a feel for what I liked then made recommendations based on my style. It was not overwhelming and the house looks so modern and sophisticated now! We have had Ajay help us on our commercial projects. His ability to take what is already there and make recommendations on improving the look of the spaces both for exterior and interior. As result of his recommendations (update lighting, new paint, adding minor elements made our spaces look amazing but always conscious of our budget. We did not have to completely replace baseboards or flooring or remove exterior brick. He took the space as is helped us make it look like we spent more. We have since asked him to help with a new Lake House project. Ajay was exceptional to work with. He listens to your vision and then turns it into reality. He appreciates your budget and incorporates into your design. He respects your time and responds quickly. His ability to pick and coordinate colors is invaluable. Ajay did such a great job designing a floor plan for our farmhouse. He was very kind, accommodating and timely with his drafts as well as had great suggestions. He was also good at listening to our ideas and making them work in the design.

We found Ajay through word of mouth. My wife and I were moving from Kansas City, MO to Sioux Falls and were back for a long weekend looking at houses. Our initial focus was move-in-ready but as we were running out of properties that checked all of our boxes our realtor asked us to have an open mind and took us to see a project house. After our first viewing we called Ajay to see if he would be willing to meet us the next day at the house to get his opinion. His vision on what the house could be sold us. He was there from initial concept to managing the process through to completion (5 months). He did all of the floor plans (moving walls, raising floors, adding windows, new kitchen, you name it) and took us on a computer guided walk thru (just like you would see on HGTV shows. We signed the contract and we were off. My wife and I are not what I would call design savvy. Deciding to change the floor plan was the easy part. Where Ajay was really a savior was in choosing finishes. Through the plethora of options, our only ask to Ajay was to bring us three options to choose from that fit the style of our house and tied everything together so we wouldn’t have to narrow everything down ourselves. This probably saved our marriage :). The project was done on time and right on budget. Since the house is finished we have continued to use Ajay to select furnishings throughout. We would highly recommend anyone to use Ajay as a designer/project manager for a full-gut remodel.

Christmas came early in 2019 when we hired designer Ajay Kittur to transform our home. Ajay quickly divined our lifestyle, our tastes, and our color and design preferences. He understood that, unlike many septuagenarians, we were not interested in downsizing and moving into a twin home; rather, we wanted to add on, expand, go contemporary, and remain in the home and neighborhood we love. My wife and I added a golf simulator into an empty garage stall. We hired AJ to help us design it, pick out furniture, colors, etc. His creativity was amazing as we needed to cover up our garage door without removing it and design a useable but practical space with little to work with. Well, he did that and then some, coming up with ideas to incorporate themes of Maui, our favorite place, into the design featured through false window panes. In addition to his creativity, AJ was extremely patient, attentive, and inclusive of our ideas while still staying attuned to our space being practical. Ajay is so professional but I can almost guarantee when your project is over you will consider him a friend too. #1 because he has no ties to any "stores" your options are endless! He will definitely stay within your budget - from the beginning be open and honest with him so he can do that. My husband & I bought a house that was just framed out. We hired Ajay to help us with every aspect from picking colors, appliances, tile...you name it. He also offered great advice along the way. Ajay was great with helping us choose window treatments for our home. We have 2 large rooms with a lot of windows that I was really struggling with in regards to treatments. When I started taking to friends about what to do regarding my windows many people said the same thing.... "You need Ajay!" He made the whole process so easy. Came to the home, gave his professional recommendations, agreed upon a budget, and together we made the decision on my blinds. He took care of getting them installed. It was so slick!!! Ajay has designed both our home and now an office building for my law firm. My wife and I have been very impressed with his visions each time. For me specifically, I get overwhelmed when presented with hundreds of ideas and appreciate how Ajays listens to what I believe I want, and shows me options from my view, and also options that he thinks would work well from his experience and connections with distributors. It was our pleasure working with Ajay to redesign our 25-year-old laundry room and walk-in pantry. Our home has great bones but these two areas needed a facelift. Ajay has made our remodel project so enjoyable and stress-free. He helped with an addition to our business and also helped remodel a living space for us.
