In addition to our residential design projects, we also specialize in commercial landscape and irrigation design. Our commercial projects have been built in more than 20 states for our clients who represent corporate restaurants and hotels. Our plans meet the project's local landscape ordinance and stay within the owner’s budget to provide “curb appeal” and bring in customers. After weeks of frustration trying to find the right person to work with I landed on Alan's web site. I called and we briefly discussed my project and he scheduled a time to meet with me. We discussed the entire outdoor project from changing the yard from a lot of pine straw and plants in rows to creating an inviting outdoor space for our family. Alan sent over a couple of different design plans to determine the direction for the project and “blew us away” with plans and attention to detail. If you are looking for someone who will work with you, listen to your needs and create a partnership to follow through on an idea and see it come to life, Alan is best person to work with.

Alan had creative ideas and helped design our landscape + hardscapes. Everything came to fruition with his push to move the project along whenever there were questions or concerns. He provided excellent drawings and literature or photos of plants, so we could really visualize what everything would look like. He is very knowledgable & professional! We are very happy with how the final product turned out!

We hired Alan to provide a plan for our landscaping at a beach house re-do. He provided us a great plan in a timely manner, and worked well with our architect. We our very pleased with our hard scape and landscaping. I would recommend him.

Once my kids were grown and I was retired, it was my dream to remove much of the grass in my lawn and replace it with something lovely. My husband wanted to give me a landscape design for Christmas. When we called Alan we found him prompt and courteous. He visited to check things out and listened to what I had in mind. He also gave me ideas he thought would work. Once the landscape design was complete I was excited to get to work. The design has been simple to follow and the plants easy to find in stores around town. He also included some cost saving suggestions. When I've had a question he has been quick to explain or give advice. I appreciated that there were areas that I could choose the color or type of plant I wanted. Working with Alan on this project has been enjoyable and relaxed. As my husband and I have been doing the work ourselves, things have gone a little slowly. The neighbors come around daily to see what we've recently planted. Their reactions have ranged somewhere between shock and awe! Sometimes people drive by and ask who designed this and we tell them, Alan Holt! We've even had people volunteer to help us. This has been a great experience and we will certainly have a one- of- a -kind yard full of flowers, greenery, bees, butterflies, hummingbirds and... a great sense of peace and happiness when outside. I recommend Alan for his professionalism, knowledge, helpfulness and especially his encouragement.

It was great working with Alan. He is very professional and easy to work with. We requested his services for a backyard landscape design. He gave us many options in our price range to choose from with fresh ideas we didn't think of. He is very detailed in his design and thinks of everything, right down to mosquito repellant plants around a fire pit. Alan comes highly recommended!

Alan Holt is the rare combination of gifted artist and skilled architect. Our site presented a multitude of elevation and drainage challenges that we had been battling for years. He not only addressed all of our site issues, but he also interpreted and implemented our personal vision for a backyard oasis. Alan ultimately created a beautiful, cohesive plan and even incorporated all of our existing plants in to the new design. It is easy to find someone that knows plants, but it is rare to find a true artisan that is skilled in all aspects of landscape design.
