A good friend of ours referred us to AHI for solar panels. We spoke with Nick Bar to discuss our options and finally decided to move forward with the solar project back in Jan. 2023. We were quoted with another estimate from a well-known solar company, but decided to go with Nick because he really sold us on all his lies. Knowing the NEM 2.0 was going to end in April/2023, I sent in all the requested documents right away to Nick. I should've known Nick was unreliable and unable to handle the job because I had to constantly follow up with him and his assistant Leor (who had no clue what was going on). Being told by Nick in Jan/2023 that everything that he needed on his end has been received was the first of his lies. Come June, he tells us he "lost" our application, but was sure that he had given everything to the person who processes solar application with Edison and then switches his story trying to say the delay was our HOA. He even had the audacity to tell us that this rarely happens, but could happen! The lies the company spews on you is disgusting! How can anyone trust a company that "lost" a customer's application, strings the customer along, and tries to shove down a joke of a proposal for what clearly is the company's mistake?!

We signed up for our solar Jan 2023 with Nick Bar well before the NEM2 deadline. We emailed numerous times in Feb, Mar and April to ensure we were locked in before the April deadline. I had a couple quotes from other solar companies but even though Nick was more expensive we decided to sign with Nick because he was referred from a friend. Fast forward to June when Nick pays a visit to my house trying to sell me on NEM3 alerting me we will not get NEM2 because of the delay with my HOA. Also trying to down play all the benefits we missed out from NEM2 to NEM3. Only until I did my own research to find out you actually have 3 years to install solar as long as the application for solar was applied before the April deadline, they finally admitted to there mistake from filing on time. BEWARE!!!! This company is shady…. I wouldn’t trust a 25 year contract for solar and expect all the savings from Edison if they can’t even file the paper work correctly. Ultimately I regret my decision to pick AHI Builders for any work to be done at my residence.

We hired AHI to remodel 1 bathroom, paint our interior (with some drywall repair), and install recessed lighting in our home. We began work in early April with an anticipated end date of mid June. The cost of the work was in the middle of the quotes we received. Our experience has been horrible and ended in us ending our contract with AHI and having to hire our own professionals to finish the job as of mid- August when it was still incomplete. Jack Mair was our project manager and though available to answer a call paid no attention to our project. -They are not good at communicating. I often would have less than 48 hours notice to get them a piece or material needed or less than a few hours notice that some work was beginning or we needed to come meet them. We had to constantly follow up for updates about the schedule and project. -The first paint crew did not prep at all and painted/ texture sprayed over our outlets, HVAC vents, light switches. They left large drips of paint in multiple locations and got paint/ texture splatter on our flat ceilings, on our windows, and all over our subfloor. The project manager from AHI did not oversee the project an the full home was done before he looked at it. He and foreman agreed the quality was not acceptable and took over a month to schedule a new crew. This crew was better but delayed the project significantly. -Our home was left with 1st floor doors and windows open overnight on multiple occasions. We do not live at the property at the moment but our belongings are there and though we pointed this out to the project manager it happened again. -The crews sent were not managed well- it felt like we got below handyman level quality of work in many areas. In addition to the paint crew they sent someone to paint our bathroom baseboards and he painted all over the wall. The electrician left screws and debris all over brand new wood floors and managed to scratch them plus scratch our new marble in the shower. -They drank beers from our fridge multiple times and left trash all over our home and in front of the house overnight/ for multiple days. There were trash cans and trash bins available to them at the property. -They installed used GFCI outlets in our bathroom and cut our switch plates with pliers unevenly to fit in the given space. We ended the contract with them completely unsatisfied but amicably coming to a financial agreement that settled it. I would strongly recommend that you do not hire AHI unless you are ready to manage the project yourself and be there to supervise their subcontractors as the work is done.

I wanted to thank American Home Improvement, and specifically for Jack Mair for his help and professional recently. I have been looking diligently for a good contractor for my bathroom remodel and it's been quite the learning journey. AHI was one company I called and Jack came out. He shared with me the costs and his experiences. Before he left he said "feel free to reach out even if I didn't choose AHI and that he was willing to help me answer any questions I had as he wanted me to make a good decision that met my need." I actually sensed his sincerity and professionalism. I was close to choosing another company and I called Jack and asked some important questions around cost/scope. I can’t say enough good things about Jack and American Home Improvement. He was referred to us from a friend and we met with him regarding leaks in our roof. He was always easy to get a hold of and kept us in the loop about what was going on. The workers on the job were efficient and the work looks fantastic. I was shocked at how little time it took them to to do such high quality work. Jack and I had discussed the work being as non invasive as possible as to not disturb our tenant. We were thrilled with the job. On top of that.. a couple of weeks later, I had an emergency plumbing situation with a cracked pipe deep underground. Jack got someone over the same day to tackle the problem and he was able to get it fixed well and affordably. I’m so grateful to have a good guy like Jack and his company in my corner.

He was very flexible with his schedule and made sure he had plenty of time to meet with me. He gave me a quote right on the spot and went over everything that needed to be done. David showed up early on the day he said he would, which was really impressive to me because most contractors don't even show up on time let alone early! I’m writing this review before our remodeling work by AHI is even completed. That’s how frustrated I am with this company. They start off strong… very involved, responsive, timely. As the months have gone by, this changed dramatically. We are probably 90-95% done with our projects, but now getting them to come over is like pulling teeth. Nearly every day, my husband or I text them, “hey, is anyone coming over to work today? This week?” They’ve repeatedly blamed this on an island countertop delay- inexplicably insisting they can’t come finish the rest of the kitchen until the island is done. Half of our kitchen doesn’t even touch the island, so it’s evident they want to finish the remaining work on a schedule convenient for THEM. Meanwhile, we’ve been living out boxes for our dishes and silverware for 4 months. We have pleaded with our project manager, the site manager, all the way up to one of the company’s senior managers. But it’s all talk and empty assurances, and no action. I wouldn’t expect this lack of professionalism at any price- but for the amount we paid… it stings that much more. All remodeling is stressful to some degree, but the stress our experience with AHI has caused… let’s just say, this was a very, very expensive mistake.

They did my kitchen last month. David was the one that did the design, based on my instructions. I put quartz in the kitchen and at the bar. Amazingly cut and finished. They are a bit pricey but the quality is great. I have an open concept design and I've received a lot of compliments for my kitchen. Booking AHI for painting was very quick, they give a quota and you send them a deposit and book a date and colors. It took 2 days to paint 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living rooms and closets and it looks like a new condo after painting. I highly recommend them!

We decided that we were going to remodel our house. We received a few bids and decided on American Home Improvement. We are remodeling our kitchen, all flooring and two bathrooms. Our contractor Jack is very detail oriented and has extensive knowledge. The sub contractors were courteous and worked around our schedule. I was always asked at the end of the day if there was anything else that I wanted done and they responded to my needs. They always cleaned up after they were completed for the day. The craftsmanship was outstanding. Jack was very patient with us. Some of our decisions took a little time. Plus we had the work done during a worldwide pandemic so supplies were short but he still finished on time and on budget. I highly recommend American Home Improvement and especially Jack.

We have a complete remodel of our house in La Canada Flintridge in July 2020 - four bedrooms, three bathrooms, den, living room and kitchen. Our Project Manager Neev was very professional, organized and provided a lot of ideas and resources for us to get to the design we wanted. Neev was able to navigate through the workplace COVID restrictions, ensuring that only the necessary employees are on site with proper PPE and social distancing. Neev made sure we were on track to procure what we needed. Neev was able to orchestrate the project despite the pandemic-imposed supply chain limitations that impacted delivery of the important construction materials (hardwood floors for the entire 2,800 sq. ft. house, tiles, etc.). We were further impressed at how transparent and dedicated Neev was despite of competing projects. AHI and Neev is highly recommended.

I hired Hollywood Builders for a full kitchen remodel. Eli was able to look at photos of kitchens or parts of kitchens I like and came up with a design that was a great starting point. What I appreciated was how he was able to understand my style almost immediately. During the actual remodel, I was most impressed with just how quickly and easily any small mistakes (and they do happen) were rectified. The final product was just amazing! It looks great, but the best feeling was unpacking all my boxes full of kitchen stuff and finding that everything had it’s place, every drawer was used well, and there were no awkward or odd spaces that I wished I had done something different with. This kitchen is super functional and a pure joy to cook in and show off to my with family and friends.

Got a full bathroom remodeling done by American Home Improvement Inc Inc and I'm loving it. They provided me with a catalogue at first but I didn't quite like them so I gave them ideas and they got the 3D model ready which looked absolutely fantastic. And after confirming that they started working here which was done very smoothly. And now the completed product looks absolutely sunning and I love it. They are great to say the least.

I am SO happy with my renovation! I had two structural walls removed, a complete kitchen re-do as well as new floors, lighting, baseboards and ceilings throughout the main living space of my house. I had been recommended American Home Improvement Inc from a friend. I had been telling her about me and my wife's experiences getting estimates from contractors for our kitchen. She said she had worked with Benjamin and AHI in the past, that they were father and son owned and that they do great work. I decided to give them a shot. American Home Improvement remodel our home. We upgraded our kitchen and bathrooms, installed hardwood flooring and repainted the interior and exterior of our house. We were so impressed with their attention to detail, and how well organized the construction company runs. The entire project was handled professionally and the final result was a reflection of our taste. Our kitchen and bathroom remodel came out better than we expected. During the work that they did at my house, I could see that they are detail oriented, hardworking and skilled. They did the work remarkably beautiful. My old kitchen was demolished completely and they installed new plumbing, cabinets, lightings and appliances while in the bathroom they replaced the tub and shower while installing new floor, hardware and vanity with double sink. During the work, I noticed that Daniel was very honest and fair with me while having excellent communication skills as well. I didn't experienced any hidden charges or additional extras. With my past experience it was hard to find a team who knows their work so well and that honesty is their main factor. I would definitely work with them again!!!

While I would have liked to have more work done, the work Micky did was more than I thought was possible, on my budget. He was always very professional and kept me up to date. After interviewing several contractors, we hired AHI to remodel our master bathroom, guest bathroom, and laundry room. Within hours of initially contacting them, AHI sent a project manager, Neev, to our house to generate a quote. From the outset, Neev was detail oriented, picked up on issues that other contractors had missed, and sat down with us to generate a quote on-site. AHI’s quote was comparable to other bids, so we ultimately chose them for the project because they seemed the most service-oriented and capable of delivering what we wanted. I’m glad we did. Neev was very responsive, communicative, and organized throughout the project. He helped us work through a couple of issues that arose in renovating a 100-year old house without nickel-and-diming us. His foreman, Tal, was very hands-on and helped us settle some design issues, and the entire crew was polite and respectful of our home. Despite some setbacks, the team finished on time and we are thrilled with the work.

I needed to add a shower in my parents room and David and his crew came through. David listened intently to my parents needs and offered creative and practical solutions to the limited space available. For the shower addition, he was able to skillfully make it so one could roll a wheelchair right in, with no step at all. A slight slope was made for wheelchair access and water drainage. David offered to assist me in choosing tile, fixtures, and grab bars for my parents. They look beautiful. He had to deal with many different personalities at my parents home and he was patient and professional through the whole job. His crew was always prompt, friendly and cleaned up after themselves. He finished the job in just a few weeks. My parents are so happy with the finished project. We would definitely use him again.

Shawn and his guys did a unbelievable job on my bathroom. My bathroom was all were old tile from the 80's with a leaking shower. Now we have white marble with amazing borders. When I was searching for company's all the construction company's I contacted gave me a horrible vibe from the start. I decided to invite 2 contractors to my house and Shawn was one of them. He suggested different options on expanding my bathroom and changing the layout at an affordable price. I felt very comfortable with him and his crew during the job and feel very confident with the quality after. The premises was kept clean during the job which was agreed upon in our original meeting and the job was completed on a timely manner. I had mentioned to Shawn I've always wanted a rain shower so he decided it was a good idea to surprise me with one as we did not agree to it on the original contract. I owe it to this company for such professional and quality work. I recommend Shawn and his crew for any of your remodeling and/or construction projects.

Most contractors that I contacted prior to the remodel wanted to sell an elaborate over the top remodel to a room that I had already laid out with my ideas and intentions. Those contractors that came out, came as a team and wanted to sign a on the spot 1 day only sale price, otherwise the price would go up. After contacting them, I was listened to, told them what I wanted and they proposed a reasonable solution. There was no pressure or "sales" attack. Having dreaded doing a job like this while meeting with several shady contractors, I was pleasantly surprised with the fact that they took care of everything. The work site is always well organized and clean. Michael did an outstanding job overseeing the construction project. I had a room addition built and completely renovated my entire house, including remodeling my kitchen and all four bathrooms. All of the workers were friendly and fantastic at their specific trade. They were easy to communicate with and made an effort to keep the site safe (I have a toddler). They came out, was very nice and Michael and his team was able to complete the remodeling in less than a month. I hired American Home Improvement Inc for a whole house remodel. We pretty much broke down all interior and exterior walls and reconfigured walls to create an open floor plan. I believe they have before and after photos on their profile, not sure if the photos are up yet but boy was it a transformation! Throughout the process, I learned so much about construction. Never realized how many tedious decisions are needed in order to remodel a house, starting with kitchen cabinets, counter tops, blinds, color of paint, floors, on and on and on. Overall it was a great project, and I would hire these guys to work for me again in a heartbeat. Most important thing to me is being able to stay true to my preset budget.

I am very pleased with the work Done by Sibay, I hired this contractor to remodel the kitchen in my new home because I didn't have enough counter space and I bake a lot. The contract was specific, the company had a payment schedule and they even helped me finance the project. The kitchen is just perfect for my baking needs now. Only set back was that there was a door that was accidentally scratched when the counter tops where being installed but they fixed the door a few days later. My sister is hiring them also for her bathroom and I hope she has just the same experience as I did.

I got American Home Improvements to renovate my house, and they did it so good! They came in and completed the job fast. But there was no decline in quality of the job despite them being fast. I really loved the staff's behaviors. They were friendly and easy to communicate with. I helped them as much as I could. The final result of their job was superb. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a renovation.

American Home Improvement designed my kitchen. I already worked with them and I knew that they are very trustworthy company. They did excellent job, completed on time and I am completely satisfied.

We replaced all cabinetry, tile and fixtures for the entire bathroom including moving the tub and creating a new shower area. We had a leak under the previous cabinetry so there were also remediation work and lots of demo leading into the project. We hired them mainly because, unlike other contractors, they were full-service from the design end. Their mobile showroom really helps you make decisions, even on the minor details, and Eli helped us get ideas and ensure that our design choices would work together (for example making sure that all the plumbing fixtures were compatible). We also requested some unique features (like a rock river effect in the tile/grout leading from the shower to the bathroom door) that we had an idea for that resulted in a solution they helped design. The team was professional throughout and clearly worked together well. Work was done on time and within budget. The cleaning crew they had come in at the end was world class as well.

This was the most amazing experience remodeling a kitchen that I think you could ask for! Neev was incredible with the timeline, what to expect, when to expect it and even completed the project early! It is a big undertaking to not have a kitchen for awhile and it was completely worth it! The work is impeccable, I could always reach Neev and he was always willing to work with me or explain if I didn't understand what was happening next. The best experience!

I am very pleased with my master bathroom renovation recently completed by American Home Improvement. I’m not one to typically post a review, but after our recent experience with American Home Improvement and specifically our project manager Neev Kugel, I felt obliged to comment on their phenomenal work. We contracted them to remodel our kitchen as well as re-do the flooring in adjacent rooms and other related improvements. I was extremely impressed by how professional Neev and the whole operation was from start to finish. Outside of knowing we wanted to update our kitchen, my wife and I really didn’t have a clear vision on exactly how we wanted it to look. We essentially put our faith and trust in Neev to deliver an end product that we would love and he didn’t disappoint. At the start of the project, Neev brought in designers who were very knowledgeable, creative and receptive to our ideas to help create a contemporary and elegant design that both my wife and I loved. From there, Neev developed the project plan and timeline that was consistent with the original estimate. Throughout the entire process, Neev was very communicative and would always clearly outline next steps so we knew what to expect. This made the process much smoother and reduced the typical frustration that can come with remodels because we always knew the status of the work. Now this is not to say the project was completed without any snags. As with any project, there were surprises that came up. However, Neev always worked with us to explain the issue, outline our options, and would work with us to make sure we were happy with the final outcome. All of the workers brought into our home showed the same level of professionalism and quality craftsmanship. Most importantly, the final outcome of the remodel was outstanding. Not only was everything completed on-time and on-budget, but it turned out absolutely stunning exceeding our expectations. And as the say, the devil is in the details, and it was the details where the quality of the work came through. It was clear that they do not cut corners. The quality of the work was beyond reproach. In terms of price, we didn’t do much comparison shopping before going with AHI. Neev impressed us when we initially brought him in so we didn’t get other bids for the project. I can say anecdotally the price was very comparable to what some of our other friends paid for similar work. And most importantly the price originally agreed to is was we ultimately paid, which is very important to me. No bait and switch. All in all, I would highly recommend Neev and AHI if considering a home improvement project.

American Home Improvement just completed our bathroom and patio remodel and we could not be happier. Neev Kugel was our project manager and he is an absolute gem. He made sure that we were informed every step of the way what to expect for the weekly schedule and always knew who was coming and going. His communication was excellent. He always got back to me, no matter how trivial my question or concern might have been. As this was our first remodel, Neev helped us design, select and accent our remodel by leading us in the right direction. We absolutely love our tile and Neev provided a specific shopping list that allowed us autonomy to select our own designs, while helping us avoid unnecessary expenses. The crew of artisans Neev brought in to do the work were amazing. From the demolition crew to the tile guys, they were all professional and clean. They arrived on time and were courteous and helpful. They went out of their way to be sure we were happy with the results and had us view everything as it was completed to be sure we were satisfied. Anything that needed to be addressed was handled right away and to our complete satisfaction. As I said in the beginning, we could not be happier with the whole experience. Neev and his crew turned an old, outdated bathroom in to a serene and relaxing place to be. It turned out exactly as I wanted, as Neev understood my vision and guided us in the right direction. We would not have what we do today were it not for him.

I had many issues with my roof if recent time and I thought it was time to replace it. I already worked with American Home Improvement so I called them to send someone to inspect my roof. They agreed it was time to replace it and gave me several solutions. I accepted one of them and they were available soon. The crew came early in the morning on scheduled time, they worked hard and they were very quick because they are so well organized. The installation went OK, there were some issues but it was resolved easily. My new roof looks amazing thanks to American Home Improvement!!
