Andrew is amazing to work with! He is creative, collaborative and energetic and has a special ability to identify unique custom details that really make a property shine. We had such a good experience with Andrew when working with him to build our primary residence (for which he and our builder won awards) that we have since engaged him for several other projects. Each time, we are impressed with his ability to consider how people really live, how important it is to factor in the orientation of a place (how and at what time will the light hit, where and how to best enjoy a view, etc.), and how to select the ideal products and finishes to make a space beautiful and filled with personality while also being practical and able to hold up over time. Andrew is patient and fun and we always look forward to our discussions. Andrew is consistently focused on making sure that his clients get exactly what they want and he has always been available and responsive. We are currently working with Andrew on our third large project, each project has been completly unique and he has created something amazing for us every single time. Highly recommend!

We hired Volansky Studio for our home renovation and are thrilled with the results. Andrew quickly understood our needs & aesthetic and designed a beautiful home that exceeded our expectations. In addition to a new mudroom, office and dining area the existing house was completely remodeled. Andrew’s design transformed a dated 1980’s house into an open, highly functional space that we love being in. We would highly recommend Andrew and his team!

I can't say enough good things about Andrew Volansky and the work he does. We met on the Quad skiing a handful of years ago and he has more than impressed us throughout our search process and finally designing a remodel of the exact home we have been in search of for over four years. Not only is Andrew a terrific architect who fully understands the environment he works in, honing creative and functional design skills (typically I have found people with one or the other), but his ability to work with a difficult customer who wanted to fully drive the bus and his network of every possible GC, sub-contractor, artisan maker, etc in the area is second to none. Can't thank him enough for his great work and connecting all of the dots for us. As you can see from my rating that I give Andrew, Kat and Volansky Studio the highest praise. He and Kat were very professional and responsive. They were client friendly and listened and wanted our feedback. Rarely was Andrew adamant about his idea or concept on a particular part of our renovation, yet when he was we agreed and understood. The finished product says it all! It takes time AND effort to build repoire with a new relationship and my wife and I did exactly that with Andrew, but more importantly he did that with us.

I used Volansky to renovate a basement in my Stowe home. The basement had low ceilings, was chopped up and quite undesirable when we started. Andrew dove in and seemed energized by the challenge of making this dank, unusable space livable. He turned a large abandoned utility closet into a "kids camp" with 7 bunks. He designed a GORGEOUS double-stall camp-style shower, and he even worked in a game room and a basketball goal. The basement went from being the worst spot in the house to the place where every most loves to hang out. It was a truly fabulous design. His work was meticulously attentive to detail, stylish and creative, and always on time an on budget. I was blown away with his great customer service. My family is dying to build or renovate something else so we can see more of his brilliant ideas come to life. A++++

Andrew has always been one of the best and easiest to work with. HIs plans are accurate and detailed, he understands what the current costs of construction are, and he communicates well with the client and the builder. Another great quality of Andrew's is that he listens to the guys in the field and is open to value added engineering. This ensures that not only will a project look amazing but that it will last a long time. Andrew and his team always get a referral from us when our clients are selecting architects.

Designing a dream home is a challenging journey. And before you begin, If you are lucky you may be reminded, that one of the most important things you need to feel is that you communicate well with your architect. I felt this way right away with Andrew Volansky. He came with me and my real estate agent to look at sites, and from that I knew that he was accessible, knowledgeable about so many things, beyond the house, that are factors, and able to provide valuable input. And, importantly, I felt we communicated so well. It was fun! Together we designed the perfect house for my purposes and my site, pictures to follow after we build! Andrew is a very talented and creative architect, and he can meet you where you are to help you get to your goal. I trust him to incorporate my ideas and deliver an even better product, and saw that happen multiple times throughout the process. I believe that the time spent in design is so important;; don't skimp there!

Steven and Anne Ford

We selected Volansky Studio to work with us to design a very specific architectural style for our new lake home in Vermont. Since this is a dream home for us, the choice of an architect is key. We were more than thrilled with the results. Andrew Volansky and his team, notably Kathleen Thatcher, are wonderful to work with: creative, innovative, flexible, budget-conscious and responsive. What we liked best was that they listened to us and actually heard what we wanted. Our dream was translated beautifully to a well-organized, functional and amazing design, so much so that the rendering is a near-photographic version of the finished product. We have and will continue to recommend Volansky Studio to others.
