Ann Stillman O'Leary

Ann is a consummate professional. She has helped us create a large mountain modern home that is stunning but at the same time warm and inviting. We could never have achieved this without her vision and guidance.

Ann O’Leary is one of the most highly competent professionals with whom I have ever interacted. Period. I started working with Ann over a decade ago on various restoration and rebuilding projects at my family’s “Camp” in the Adirondacks. Ann came highly recommended and everyone in my family was very pleased with the results of her improvements. However, it was only in the past few years, when I bought my own property in the ADKs and asked Ann to assist, that I truly came to appreciate her extraordinary wealth of knowledge and formidable work ethic. Ann has tirelessly supported my aesthetic vision for my new home, which involved what might have been for another designer an overwhelming amount of detail. The project had elements of both restoration and reproduction. Additionally, Ann supplied detailed master schedules for the interior finishes, plumbing and electrical installations – so her contributions were not just in the realm of decorating. At every turn, Ann had a resource or a solution. Plus, Ann also was an excellent sounding board for my choices – willing to go against anything she thought unwise and helping me to decide when and when not to invest in the more expensive options. I have complete trust in and the upmost admiration for Ann’s abilities. It is clear to me that Ann does this work because she is passionate about it and it is not just a commercial enterprise for her. Ann cares sincerely about satisfying her clients and goes all out for them.

Ann helped us to furnish a new-construction home. We couldn't have done it without her. She is really an incredible talent. She has a great sense of style, of course, but she is also a great teammate--knowing when to offer options and when to state an opinion, and willing to roll up her sleeves to do whatever is needed to achieve the desired result. We're so lucky to have worked with her.

I have worked with Ann to photograph several of her projects and truly enjoy collaborating with her. Ann is an expert, through and through which makes working with her such an enjoyable, easy and fun process. She has so much talent, a fabulous personality, she's decisive and just simply knows what works. I highly recommend Ann for any project and hope that we get to work together again soon.

Ann is the ultimate professional. She set the direction and took input without allowing us to make a mistake. She had integrity with all of her recommendations. She was practical in working within our budget and looked for opportunities for savings. She and her team were organized and efficient and allowed us to work long distance effectively. She is fair and trustworthy. She has great taste and great sources for everything we needed. She was fun to work with and has lots of energy!

Ann did a wonderful job! We are enjoying the house so much. She is so easy to work with and suggests fabrics, rugs, furniture, etc. that are to your specific taste. She is very high energy and is always available to discuss issues and ideas.

It is hard to find the words to fully describe the incredible experience we had working with Ann and how we feel about all she did for us. We were building a second home far away from our primary residence. We hired Ann for her expertise in interior design and she ended up assisting us with every aspect of our project. Ann worked closely with us and our architect during the design and construction phase (having Ann's thoughts on furniture layout were invaluable when it came to room sizes, window placements, etc). She and her incredible staff helped us with the kitchen and pantry/laundry room layout. She reviewed the electrical plan (better to think about where your floor outlets need to be placed BEFORE the concrete is poured) and selected all fixtures. We relied on her expertise repeatedly when making decisions throughout the construction process, and she was often onsite without us, collaborating with our contractor on various ideas. And then there was the decorating. Ann's style is so fabulous. Everything she helped us select was incredible. The thought of furnishing an entire house was completely overwhelming to us, but Ann made it easy. She immediately understood our style (and our budget) and narrowed down furniture, fabric, tile, and fixture selections for us so we could make selections from a few fabulous choices. She gave us great guidance and never pushed us to buy anything we didn't love. Ann furnished our house from top to bottom. She helped us pick out everything from the pool table to our pots and pans. When the construction was done, she and her team moved everything into our new home -- they stocked the kitchen, washed our (monogrammed!) towels and even made the beds. When we arrived at our completed home three weeks ago, we felt like we were on one of those reality tv shows -- walking into a beautiful new home, fully furnished with all the amenities, including fresh flowers (arranged by Ann!) on the kitchen island and in the master bedroom. That level of thoughtfulness and detail speaks volumes about the care Ann had for both us and our project. We absolutely could not have done it without her. We have a home that fits our family perfectly and is more beautifully designed and decorated than we could have ever imagined. Ann's professionalism and style are only exceeded by her attention to detail and the degree to which she devotes herself to each project. It has been an immense pleasure getting to know Ann and I am grateful for the opportunity to tell others about the incredible work she has done for us.

Ann Stillman Oleary has done done a number if projets for me. The latest project was a complete redo of our home in Lake Placid, NY . She was in charge of the reconstruct as well as the decor. The results were amazing and my husband and I were thrill with the end results. Ann has been great to work with. She new our tastes and always worked with our request.
