The guys at Baine guys were great! They gutted the downstairs and did some other work upstairs. I also ended up redoing the siding on the house among other things. The quality of the work great, and they went with the flow when changes were made to the project. Darren Anderson, Luke and Brian were outstanding. I would use them again and would highly recommend them!

Baine Contracting built us a new house following Hurricane Sandy. They did a great job. Everything about the house is perfect. After three summers back in the house, we still have people stopping their cars in front of the house to admire the detail and craftwork of the construction. Michael is terrific to work. And Greg, who was the Project Manager, is second to none when it comes to quality of work and creative thinking to make the house turn out even better than we could have imagined. Baine Contracting completed my den and backyard deck project in Spring 2017, having worked on an extensive home remodeling (kitchen, 3 baths, staircase) a few years back. Both projects were completed on time. The best part of working with Mike is his insight and collaboration during the design phase and also to make changes during the project build phase. He is professional and trustworthy. On both my jobs, Gregg, his on-site project leader, was a pleasure to deal with on day-to-day matters, and handled any matters including the sub-contractors. We have had a long standing professional relationship with Mike and all of Baine Contracting. The relationship is long standing due to the high quality of their work, the ease to work with them and the fact that you can count on the entire team. Our project manager has been Jay several times and he is probably the most talented craftsmen that we have ever dealt with. It is important to know that Mike and his team are very loyal as well. It is not a one way relationship. We will never forget after Super Storm Sandy hit our house on a Tuesday that Mike was standing in our living room on Thursday to assure us of his help in rebuilding. It made all the difference.

After a year of searching for the right contractor to build my house I made the decision and chose Mike Baine to build my waterfront home. Why did I choose Mike? First of all, I interviewed over ten contractors for almost a year and also visited some jobs that they were already working on. When most contractors came to the table that asked me what I was looking for and they gave me a price. Not Mike, he came to my home several times to review my plans and ask questions about design and materials. Mike was much more detailed then everyone else and came up with many suggested changes that I had not thought about myself. Some of them cost more money and others did not. All of the improvements that Mike made gave me the confidence that he was interested in the job and only wanted to produce a quality end product (my new house). I met with Mike regularly before, during and after construction. I was impressed by the team of professionals that Mike had assembled to build my dream home. The project was completed on time and within budget. There were some items that cost more than originally planned but there was never a surprise. When all was said and done I was confident that I made the right decision because my has was beautiful and extremely well built. Mike started my home in late 2004 and completed in early 2005 which is pretty amazing timeframe when dealing with Brick Township. Every now and then I call Mike with some questions on my home or need some help. He responds quickly and is always willing to send someone over if necessary. When I see homes under construction I always look for signs for the contractor and when I see Mike's sign I smile and know that the property owner made a great decision. Reading this review may ask the reader why I am writing it and after all these years I am still convinced that I made the right choice.

Michael Baine and his team at Baine Contracting are currently building a project that my company has designed for a client in Bay Head, NJ. While the project is a relatively small addition to an existing home, it is for a client that has a tremendous appreciation for detail. Baine Contracting has been an absolute pleasure to work with and their level of expertise and meticulous craftsmanship is among the best. They are extremely professional and I highly recommend this company for any custom residential project.

Mike had done previous extensive work on my house when I remodeled after purchasing, but he saved me after superstorm Sandy. I have over 3 feet of water downstairs, and had to rebuild the house almost completely, including elevating it so the first floor was 12 feet up. Mike arranged everything for me from the architect to the engineers to the house lifter, and repaving the driveway and the landscaping. Everything was first class, especially the gas fireplace in the living room that one of his carpenters built. He even arranged for a generator hooked up to the gas for the house. I am ready now for Sandy #2. (Also, I was one of the first people back in the neighborhood which still has a lot construction going on).

Baine Contracting was great. Mike Baine, Principal, was involved throughout the entire project and brings his vast experience and design input. As with any major home renovation (Kitchen, 3 bathrooms, other trim/new stairway, etc), there are a number of additions and change orders, to which Mike was on top of. The work was completed timely and his subs did excellent work with high quality workmanship. After the renovation was complete on the interior, we did a second phase on the exterior including new roof and garage doors, front door, etc.

We loved Michael and his ideas, but we had budget constraints that would not allow us to go forward with the project. Baine Contracting will be our first call when it is time for our next project.

What can we say? Having been burnt by 3 prior contractors, we were very reluctant to even consider going into construction. The company was professional and delivered what they promised. It was a breath of fresh air. Good people, professionals, and they deliver what is expected.

We used Baine Contracting for a total remodel of our condo. This included new windows, doors, stairs, kitchen, two baths, flooring, new lighting and some electrical work. More than a year later we are totally happy with the quality of the work done. Everything was done to the specifications of our association and the designers he recommended for our kitchen and floors were excellent. His crew are all craftsmen and take pride in their work. We ran over our projected budget mainly because we chose to use higher end products. The work took longer than expected so know that there are many factors to take into account when a project is done including the weather and manufacture availability. Mike threw in some nice details for no extra cost. A major project like this is not easy for the owner. We were fortunate we were able to relocate during the main part of it. There were times when we were incredibly frustrated but Mike is a master at diffusing situations and resolved everything. The two highest compliments we can give is that whenever we felt there was an issue, large or small, he or his crew were immediately here to resolve it and that over a year later the high quality of the construction is evident. We love everything that was done and enjoy every minute we are in our "new" home. We especially love when guests come and tell us how beautiful it is!

Eleven years ago when I decided to put an addition on my beach house, I had been recently widowed. I hired Mike Baine to be my contractor. I told him right off that he had to play the roll of my husband when it came to making several important decisions in the renovation since I knew very little about construction. Mike finished the project on time and my little 4 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath cape cod became this wonderful 6 bedroom 2 1/2 bath beach house that 11 years later still stands strong inspiite of 13 grandchildren and 7 crazy adults!
