We were and are extremely happy with the architectural service that Bruce Taylor provided us during the planning and building stages of our house. He was transparent with respect to his costs, gave us good advice with respect to the final costs, recommended 2 general contractor firms (both of which impressed us, making for a difficult decision), returned calls and texts promptly, and let us know when he was going to be out of town. With respect to the design process he took our basic desires and came up with a design we generally liked. The process of getting from his initial design to the final design was a pleasant process. He would either take our thoughts and incorporate them, take our thoughts and modify them for the better, and/or educate us as to why he designed something the way he did. In deciding upon the design of the roof we ended up with 4 different designs before choosing and we never felt any frustration on his part. We have received, directly and indirectly, many comments from people in the business expressing very favorable opinions of the house. Having lived in the house for over 8 months we are very pleased with our house and our experience with Bruce.

It was a pleasure working with Bruce Taylor. He designed our new home, along with all the working drawings for the contractor and county to get the different permits needed for the project. He was easy to work with, listened to our ideas and input and came up with a design we were pleased with. He also visited the job site throughout the construction process to make sure the plans were being followed accurately. In the future I would definitely use him again for any architectural projects we have.

We just recently had the opportunity to have Bruce Taylor design our new home in Park City. We appreciated the fact how easy it was to work with Bruce and he listened to our input. The single attribute we enjoyed most is Bruce's honesty. He would tell us how to better value engineer and provided insight into the finished product, saving us thousands in building costs. Bruce met with us several times on the building site and in his office. He talked to us about the way we live and use a home. We got exactly what we wanted and more. The house is simple and modest in size (our criteria). It flows comfortably and takes full advantage of our site which is south facing with 180 degree views of the mountains. It has pizzaz without being ostentatious. He's easy to work with and a good listener. We've used different architects on previous homes without the same success. Bruce was able to design a home to fit on a difficult site and deal with our requirements for an unusual building material and an exceptionally "green" house. If we were ever to build another, highly unlikely, we would definitely hire Bruce again.

I have known and worked with Bruce Taylor for 30 years. In that span he has designed some of the most beautiful and yet subtle houses in Summit County. As striking as they are on the exterior, they have warm, comfortable interiors that maximize space , view and the flow of a family routine. He is truly a fine an architect and he is also a gracious gentleman of the highest integrity.

After great research and numerous interviews we chose Bruce Taylor to be our architect for an extensive remodel of my old family home after my parents passed away. Knowing how important this home was to me, Bruce kept the feel of my family's home intact but worked miracles to create a breathtakingly beautiful remodel. Summit took over design of a Utah ski house. We are building long distance as we live in New York. We fired and sued our first architect DiamondPhillips so we were shell shocked. Principal Bruce Taylor won our confidence and produced a great design reflecting our needs and respectful of our budget. WE are building now. Plans are clear, suitable for permitting and construction. Designs were delivered on time. When issues arise as they always do, we all resolve them with a minimum of fuss. Bruce has great design sense and a sense of humor which helps in a complex process. He really listens. He works well with our contractor, available for consults as necessary. Billing is clear and understandable. Summit did a great job for us.
