Bergen deck replaced an out of code stairway and deck for our second floor apartment, a fairly complex job. They recommended excellent materials that still look great today, many years later with no sign of age, settling, or damage. Greg, the owner, and his staff were professional, responsive and respectful. The quote was clear an easy to understand, the work was done with high quality, and a few challenges met without drama. The site was left as found without a speck of saw dust each day, and the job was done on time and on budget. I have and will continue to recommend Bergen Decks. Greg and his team did a large and (as it turned out - complex job for me involving a new above ground pool, new deck and new and expanded hardscaping. The quality and craftsmanship of the landscaping and deck were impeccable ..his crew worked through the hottest days and I am very happy with both the design and craftsmanship quality of his work.

They have built decks for me, enclosed my front porch, renovated my foyer and renovated my basement. I only wish I had found him before I had my kitchen renovated. We needed to re-do our 25 year old, red cedar deck, and were looking for a low maintenance solution. Greg at Bergen Decks had a perfect idea. The foundation and supporting beams were all still in great shape so he removed all of the deck boards and replaced them with capstock composite decking and railings. He offered helpful design suggestions with regard to some built in planters and his ideas made a world of difference. We chose ipe (looks like Brazilian hardwood) with black railings. The look is natural (since we live in a wooded area) but updated. Greg and his team were a pleasure to work with. They finished our job on time and on budget. I recommend Bergen Decks without reservation.
