We searched for a great company to do work in our backyard and after meeting with several other companies, we met with Carter. We knew immediately we would have CB Conlin Landscapes remodel our backyard. From the start of the project, Carter kept us informed as to what to expect. He used his experience to answer questions and was very easy to work with. He was always available via text, email or phone if we had questions or concerns. For the last several years, the company has provided yard maintenance service for us through the growing season and snow removal service in the winter months. CB Conlin Landscapes put in a backyard patio for us. It included a gas fire pit and a low wall around one end of the patio. The project also included landscaping. It turned out great, and we have had many happy hours with friends on our new patio eating & hanging out around the fire. Construction went as smoothly as it could. Carter took care of getting all the permits, and when issues arose that could have required more permits, the project manager helped us take care of that. Due to the eccentricity of people who lived in our house before, some issues were discovered during construction. Carter's staff was flexible and knowledgeable, and they were able to quickly modify the design to accommodate the required changes. Christine, the project manager, was fun to work with! My spouse & I watched the work people on several days, and we were impressed by their attention to detail and their determination to get the installation exactly right.

It was a very good experience working with Neal. He helped in our planning and was there when final installation occurred. We are very satisfied with CB Conlin and highly recommend them.

We just finished a landscaping project with CB Conlin Landscapes Inc., and highly recommend them! We had a beautiful paver brick patio built where one side had a half sitting wall while the other side featured a small corner privacy pergola. It is beautiful and we've had nothing but compliments from the neighbors. In addition, they created planting beds surrounding the new patio and widened the existing planting beds on the sides of our house. Our house is new construction and the beds provided by the builder were very narrow. The work crew were prompt every day and often worked from 8:30 am to 6:00 or 6:30 pm. They were friendly, courteous and appreciative when I offered Gatorade during the intense heat. They were respectful of our yard and meticulously cleaned up daily. We also had CB Conlin Landscapes Inc., subcontract for an in ground sprinkler system and landscape lighting to complete our project. Barry Conlin was a pleasure to work with. He strives for perfection and uses high quality materials built to last. He listened to our ideas and together we came up with a wonderful backyard outdoor living space. Our 30 year old lawn and landscaping suffered due to years of neglect caused by our assignments living overseas. We contacted CB Conlin based on a recommendation from a friend. Barry and his team developed an overall plan that included a partially replaced lawn and full landscaping, as well as a replacement driveway and new irrigation system. They coordinated the overall schedule with the driveway and irrigation contractors. Barry and his team didn't skip a beat. Result was delivery of the entire plan exactly as promised, on schedule, for the price quoted. What a great company to work with. From the very beginning they were very responsive, extremely kind and respectful of our wishes. When we wanted to make some revisions to the original drawings it was no problem and they were happy to make any and all changes until we were happy. Once the drawings were complete and it was time for the work to begin, they were at our house bright and early. CB Conlin took the time to introduce us to the job supervisor before work began to let us know who to talk to if we had any questions. The entire crew was friendly and respectful to my entire family. The City of Warrenville inspected the hardscape in three separate phases with each phase passing without question. The crew worked daily until everything was complete and took the time to walk us through the project to ensure we were satisfied. They even provided instructions for the care and watering of our new plants to get us started. Four months later, all of our plants are healthy, beautiful, and flourishing. Carter Conlin and his team did a fantastic job on our front porch and back patio renovation! From the start, Carter listened to our vision and brought it to life. The front walk adds a whole new dimension to our home. The back was a total makeover. We originally had a bi-level cedar deck and weighed options of a replacement deck or a stone patio. I worked with Scott Lucchetti and the CB Conlin team. All I can say is WOW. The team is amazing at what they do. From design, planning, coordination, keeping to the timeline, keeping to the budget, and communication, I was very pleased in all aspects of their work. One of the major highlights is Scott's experience and ability to translate your vision to reality. My wife and I would often find ourselves unsure of which path to take, and in these scenarios Scott would provide his experience and eye in design, of which both would be spot on for our choices. The hardscape crews and carpenters were also very professional. They would arrive on-time everyday and often stay till after dark. In addition to this, their work was detailed , executed with precision, and clean. Before selecting CB Conlin, we did run a vendor bid process with multiple vendors of high caliber. We did find that CB Conlin simply offered more at a better price point and simply did not disappoint. C.B Conlin was recommended by our interior designer and I am happy to say that we were not disappointed with the referral. We were looking at complete renovation of our backyard. Scott was great to work with. We started out with our wish list and after 7 proposals, we landed on design and budget that worked for us and would allow for phased approach. We did phase I in August, 2019 (replaced wooden deck with pavers patio & clean up landscaping). Scott's crew were great, on-time, organized, and cleaned up after each day. Scott was on-site almost everyday and always prompt in his response whenever we called him. We're working with Scott for phase II that we're hoping we can start next spring. We had our shared of bad contractors when did a complete remodel of our house couple of years ago. So when we find a "good" contractor, we like to share with others our experience as we know remodeling of any kind is very stressful and finding the right partner is key. We are very happy with end product and we would recommend C.B Conlin for their professionalism, knowledge, and quality of work.

We hired CB Conlin to replace our outdoor patio and are very pleased. We worked with Scott Lucchetti who has excellent communication and follow up. Scott and his team took care of every aspect of the project from beginning to end. They helped pull the permits for us and were accurate with the time frame they projected for us. All of the contractors working on the job showed up when they said they would which was a big deal for us. They tore out our existing paver patio that was sinking and put the proper footings/work in so that the new Unilock pavers were set correctly. Scott helped get us in touch with a siding contractor to do some touching up on our siding, a gas contractor to set up our gas fire pit, and worked with our lighting guy to make sure everything was in sync for this project. The patio turned out beautifully and we would definitely work with CB Conlin & Scott again in the future!

We have used Scott Lucchetti at CB Conlin Landscaping many times over the past several years. CB Conlin was great to work with on our landscape renovation. The project involved demolition of current hardscape, remediation of water issues, addition of a new paver/asphalt driveway, all new softscape, and installation of new hardscape. New paver patio project Project scope consisted of designing, removal of old wood deck, installation of new patio & landscaping. Hiring C.B. Conlin for our patio project was a great experience from start to finish. The entire team exhibited great attention to detail. Any change requests that we had were enthusiastically followed and any questions were immediately answered. Starting out we didn't have a clear vision of what our patio should look like, but Carter from the design team worked with us by listening to what we functionally wanted and took in the current aesthetics of the house and came up with a design that looks great and is highly functional. They never tried to push any add-ons/features. Pricing was clearly itemized. The installation process was fun to watch. The crew worked hard and was very meticulously when it came to physically cutting and laying out the patio design. At the end of each day, the crew cleaned up removing any garbage or natural debris that occurred from that day's installation.

Carter Conlin and his team completed the most incredible project for our backyard this last summer. Carter was super fast at responding to every single question or comment that I had through the entire process. He was very punctual when outlining dates for completing the project, and his vision in designing to suit our taste was stellar. We hired CB Conlin this past fall for a complete overhaul of our backyard. To begin with, they started the project before expected! (which rarely happens when dealing with landscaping companies). Through the project, they were always on time, curtious, and professional. We had a minor hiccup with the masonary work, but our project manager and designer, Scott, had them fix it right away to make things right. Scott always put our interests first and we knew that he would respond to our questions or concerns almost immediately. After 11 years of owning the home and neglecting the landscaping, we decided it was time for an investment in the property. We were removing an old deck as well as fencing and wanted something more open. Carter laid out a plan that would use stoops down to a ground level brick paver patio and then landscaped around the house with an assortment of foliage. The stoops were constructed very solidly (I watched all the work being done, and I'm a stickler for perfection). The patio base layer was brought to clay and was very thick. The patio itself was laid out wonderfully. I don't think finer work could have been done. The job was completed on time, on schedule, and on budget. The lighting specialist they brought in to provide ambiance lighting lit up the space wonderfully. C.B. Conlin even accommodated a company that was building a shed in the landscaped area. I highly recommend working with Carter and his team.

My wife and I highly recommend CB Conlin and Scott Lucchetti. In 2014 we bought a house with an acre lot in a very wooded area with significant drainage issues. Our front and back yards were a muddy forest for days whenever it rained. My wife did not leave the deck for a year after we moved in. Scott worked very hard and patiently with us to devise a plan within our budget that reclaimed the property while maintaining the forest and making it livable for our family. The first step was to cut down 25 dead ash trees (which my brother and I split into nine cords of firewood) and clear out a century worth of invasive underbrush. Scott created two large grass areas that we did not think were possible, and installed drainage pipes under the grass that worked so well our neighbor’s property began to flood (which CB Conlin came back and fixed). In the remaining forested areas Scott designed mulch paths, large pachysandra areas, and a unique stone-lined fire pit, and accented the entire property with lilacs, rhododendrons, hydrangeas, fragrant viburnums, astilbes, hasta, stonecrop sedum, little henry sweetspire, border privets, boxwoods and alpine currants. We also installed a property-wide irrigation system. The design and integration of all the elements came together beautifully. It’s like we live in the Morton Arboretum now. Thanks again Scott for all the great work.

We have used Barry's company twice in the past 10 years -- once for the back yard, and just now for the front. Both times, we have been sooo impressed with the design and implementation! All our dealings with CB Conlin have been favorable, from the first phone call I made to talk about patio repair and "freshening up" our landscape. They were prompt and professional. My husband and I called and hired CB Conlin on the recommendation of the company that we contracted with to build our sunroom. Scott Lucchetti, Senior Landscape Designer for CB Conlin, met with us to discuss not only the landscape changes being made based on the new sunroom but also the adjacent new deck we envisioned. Scott was open to our ideas but clearly had superior knowledge and experience regarding the landscape around the sunroom as well as who should be the carpenter for the deck. He made recommendations but always made sure he had our approval. He also set up the carpenter to build the deck who with Scott, offered a wide range of ideas and recommendations of deck materials, sending emails and links to Web sites for a complete range of deck ideas. He made sure that communication was open with him as well as the carpenter building the deck. Emails were answered promptly. Everyone was friendly and pleasant. The work was done in a timely manner. In fact, the carpenter always arrived at the arranged time. The landscape work was done at the end of November and the deck completed in early December so we will meet in the spring to determine if the plants all survived and to determine if any of the deck material needs to be replaced. I would, without hesitation, recommend CB Conlin Landscapes (in particular Scott); they will not be the least expensive but are great, honest people to work with and that is worth the cost.

CB Conlin simply offers the most creative, professional and beautiful landscaping options available. Having worked with other landscapers in the area, I can tell you none measures up to the level of expertise that Barry and this guys have to offer. I am exceedingly happy with my landscaping and look forward to working with CB Conlin in the future.

I've worked with Scott Lucchetti on multiple projects and couldn't be happier. Scott's non-traditional approach helped steer the projects to a successful completion. His professionalism, attention to detail and crew management delivered on everything that was promised. My family ended up with an award winning outdoor space that we use as much as we can.
