Casey Design/Planning Group Inc., a Toronto and Calgary based award-winning interior design firm, is much celebrated for strong architectural renovations of residential home projects. Repeatedly selected as a top interior design firm in Canada by House and Home and Toronto Life magazines, Casey Design is known for creating clean, contemporary and luxurious traditional interiors that reflect the lives of their clients. Theresa Casey, the founder, is a leader and innovator in her field, and she was honored with a Gold Award of Excellence for Exhibition Design in 2003 from the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO) and Awards of Merit for Small Space Residential in 2009 and for Historic Restoration/Renovation in 2010 and she brings the same attention to detail in 500 sq. ft. condos as 5,000 sq. ft. homes. The Door Store has worked with Theresa Casey and her team for many years, supplying vintage hardware, salvaged architectural pieces and antique decor items. She has a superb eye for detail and is extremely dedicated to sourcing unique pieces and finishes for her projects, large and small. Her spaces are beautifully layered and highly personalized to each client. They burst with character but are entirely livable. Attention is paid to every detail, but the result never feels over-styled. The team is efficient, attentive and always a pleasure to work with.

I've had the greatest pleasure working with Theresa Casey and her sharp team behind Casey Design/ Planning Group. I'm a supplier of soft window coverings for Theresa; helping her bring her design vision to fruition for her clients. Theresa has a wonderful sense for mixing colour combinations together, along with a playful use of patterns and textures. She effectively combines all those elements together to provide a wondrous backdrop for her carefully curated pieces of furniture, art and accessories. Theresa is a able to listen to a clients' needs and is able to push the envelope further to create a very unique environment!

I can without hesitation recommend Theresa. We initially came across her work years before as avid readers of design magazines and filed her name away for future reference knowing one day we work with her. My wife and I hired Theresa to provide interior design help of our 2000 sq.ft. house which we had recently renovated/gutted. She had input in all of the major rooms in the house. Her expertise was quickly evident. We liked the fact that she did not try to force a personal style on us but rather worked in the style we enjoyed. She was very collaborative and encouraged us to participate in the decision making process- which at the end of the day gave us a more personal feel to the house. Her input allowed us take more decorating chances than if we left to our own devices. The result was a house we are thrilled with. I am not the easiest person to deal with and the process of decorating a house with its myriad of choices is not for the faint at heart, but Theresa took it all in stride, managing to keep me happy and produce a beautiful home with a smile. We have lived with the final result for almost 2 years now and the house still makes us very happy, morning, noon and night.

My husband and I stumbled across the Casey Design Planning Group website when looking for Toronto Designers. We had bought a house that need a major renovation and we wanted someone to help us think outside the box. The first thing that impressed us about the Casey Design was the variety of design work. We decided to set up a meeting with Theresa and were completely won over by her knowledge and warmth. She listened to us and respected our ideas. Theresa Casey was hired by us to completely redo a 30 years old apartment. Her design approach caught us by being innovative creative yet extremely practical. She brought to life solutions that we all, including the contractor, thought were impossible to pursue. Her extreme attention to details made the final product not only a place that functions and allows a proper use of every single corner but she also made it feel exceptionally unique, luxurious yet very cozy. She followed the project being highly involved and all of which in a very pleasant, friendly and elegant manner. We would definitely continue to work with her and be inspired by her knowledge and creativity on our future projects and would highly recommend her to whomever needs a dream place.

Our condominium hired Casey Design /Planning Group to renovate the two lower level lobbies in our building. The materials they chose, from floor to ceiling, were first class and our very tired lobbies once again became understated but elegant--exactly what our committee wanted. Of particular interest is the flooring--ceramic tiles laid in an atypical pattern which makes them stand out. As well, Theresa and James came up with an excellent solution to hide some very ugly venting at the entrance on one of the floors. The results have received many compliments from our residents as well as visitors to the building.

Having worked with Theresa and her team on a number of client projects and experiencing first hand the level of service and professionalism Theresa and her team provided to their clients, my wife and I did not have to look far when it was time for us to select a designer to help us with space planning and design for our new home. Theresa (and her entire team for that matter) have an obvious passion for interior design and are exceptional at what they do. Hiring Casey Design for your design needs will definitely be an asset.
