When we first started thinking about extending our home we didn’t have a clue where to start, I spoke to Claire on the phone and instantly knew I wanted to work with her on our project (it was worth the wait as she is in demand). Claire is extremely experienced, knowledgeable, patient, honest, open (to all my questions, ideas, requests), practical, friendly and above all I felt like throughout the whole project we worked as a team. I am delighted with the final plan (we are just about to start the build) and Claire guided us through every step of the process and kept me calm, informed and reassured. Without any hesitation, we would recommend Claire to anyone looking for a first class architect, she offers everything you would want for this critical part in your project.

Claire provided a perfect service: she took great care, through meetings with us and draft drawings, to ensure that the outcome was exactly what we wanted. She is extremely personable and made excellent suggestions with which we proceeded. Claire has been so helpful throughout the entire project and I highly recommend her.

Claire was excellent when preparing the plans for the alterations we carried out on our house. She offered suggestions when what we wanted wasn’t feasible and went above and beyond to assist us in all matters. I would have no hesitation in using her services again or recommending her to anyone else.

I contacted Claire in the hope that she would be able to get me out of a hole with regards to building consents and warrants after issues arose with the initial designer. Probably not the most exciting of jobs for her however she sorted everything out for me and even ended up having to re-do the plans and create additional drawings at the council's request. There was a tight deadline which had me worried however Claire had a very quick turnaround at every stage and kept me informed as everything progressed. She is very friendly and patient and comes across as being enthusiastic about her job which helps instill confidence. She also took the time to explain all the council jargon to me which helped ease my fear about the deadline. She is very quick to respond with solutions which meant that i never felt like I was sitting in limbo waiting for things to happen. I had no issues with Claire's fee, I was actually surprised that it didn't cost more considering she had to quickly turn this around in between her other projects. Definitely value for money. I would definitely recommend Claire to anyone looking for an architect. My only regret is not using Claire from the very start of the project.

I employed Claire McLuckie as my Architect for my complex house extension. The design process was somewhat complicated due to our requirements and unusual nature of the build not to mention problems getting it through the Council Planning Process, Claire guided us through this process and gave exceptionally service and advice at all stages. The Design Stage took somewhat longer than anticipated but this was primarily due to our changing requirements during the design phase. Claire’s ability to listen and interpret all the key features we wanted in the extension and her skill to fully incorporate all of them was first class. Claire also provided us with multiple options ideas to problems that we encountered during the design process. Her professionalism and attention to detail has meant that the completed Final Project has far surpassed our expectations and has delivered an exceptional extension to a very high standard. Claire produced excellent drawings which suited the brief perfectly, providing us with a living space which is attractive and practical. She included details which have made the extension that little bit different. Drawings were produced within an expected timescale. Any liaison with other bodies, such as, planning department or structural engineers were attended to quickly. The budget for the work was as Claire had indicated. We are delighted that we chose her as the architect for our project.

Claire did a great job on our extension and in doing so provided us with a beautiful kitchen which caters for our every need. Claire made the whole process very easy for us and took all the pressure off. She listened to our ideas and presented alternatives and helpful advice for our consideration - nothing was ever a problem. She then tailored a package to suit our needs. Claire was extremely efficient, easy to communicate with and professional throughout. She produced excellent drawings and guided our planning application through to successful approval. Claire's professionalism and proficiency was evident at all of the stages listed below:- the design (offering helpful advice and generating drawings to our requirements) producing excellent planning and building regulation drawings recommending the structural engineer and builder liaising with the council, structural engineer and builder submitting planning application to Council for approval site visits and site supervision clear pricing at each stage (the fee was excellent value for the efficiency of the service provided)

I would recommend Claire to anyone who is looking for an architect. Very professional, friendly and approachable. Claire kept me fully up to date with what was happening and when.

We engaged Claire to design an extension to our home to accomodate my elderly parents. Claire was very responsive and took on board our context and ideas. She presented workable solutions, accomodated our eccentricities and was always very clear, efficient, considered and respectful in her communciation.
