With a background in civil engineering Sean has an in-depth understanding of the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built landscape. Sean is a registered member of the Society of Garden Designers (SGD), a professional status limited to just 200 garden designers in the country, assessed and approved by the SGD. Sean has collaborated with other designers to build award winning show gardens at The Hampton Court Flower Show in 2014 and The Chelsea Flower Show in 2015, 2013 and 2012. My wife and I had a modest sized and uninspiring 'typical new build' garden in Chelmsford: a rectangular plot of about 95 square metres with a small patio with concrete paving, and a patch of uneven and boggy turf. We wanted to have an outdoor space that would entice us outdoors, and be ideally suited for entertaining in the summer. Sean and his team managed to turn our little plot into a garden worthy of Chelsea Flower Show (at least to our minds) in the space of a few weeks this spring, and we are very happy with the results. Sean visited us and we discussed our planned use of the space, along with our likes and dislikes, and he came up with a design that fitted the bill. We then watched as the team transformed our garden into something to be marvelled at over the following weeks. We are still gobsmacked when looking at the garden, and we can't wait to see how it develops when the plants establish themselves over summer and beyond. It's exactly the kind of multi-functional space we were hoping for, and we are very happy with the work done by Sean and the rest of the gang at Cube 1994. We would highly recommend Cube 1994!

Just wanted to reiterate all the positives that my wife put in her review about Cube 1994 Ltd ..... but also to add a few photo's showing the results of their labour. Really like the service being from 'soup to nuts' i.e. design, implementation and post inplementation support (the Horticuralist) who helps non-garden people get to grips with maintaining what they have just bought!

Sean Butler and his team did an excellent job of designing and planting new borders in our garden earlier this year We have used Sean before for his creative design, attention to detail and the excellent quality in execution from his team. We have subsequently received helpful advise from his Horticuturalist Anna. A great job all round from a form I wouldn't hesitate to recommend

Sean and the team at Cube 1994 have undertaken a number of project in my garden, from the initial planning to the time the works commenced my ideas, requirements and budget were all taken into account. The designs were a pure inspiration and the attention to detail was meticulous. All the work was skilfully executed and the end result was much more than I could have imaged - absolutely delighted.

We found Sean to be totally professional, turning up when he said he would and receiving quotes in good time. We have used Cube 1994 for 4 projects so far, a woodland walk, vegetable parterre, a rose garden and installing matting on grass, including drainage around garage, for car use age. His workmen are conscientious and always do a good job. Sean is very knowledgable not only on the plant front but also on the building front and is able to overcome any problems that arise during construction. All projects were completed within the given timeframe and within budget. I would definitely approach the company for future projects.

Our garden required a complete redesign and reconstruction. A major project. Having sought quotations from several local companies we found Cube 1994, For a reasonable design fee Sean Butler came up with an innovative, practical and low maintenance design back garden which fulfilled everything we were looking for. Sean has keen design eye, a good knowledge of plants a good listening ear and this coupled with a background in civil engineering together with the team he employs makes Cube 1994 the complete package. The craftsmen he employs, and craftsmen they certainly are, are punctual, tidy, personable, considerate and fulfil the test of good honest endeavor. The transformation and quality of work can only be described as outstanding ! We are absolutely delighted with the results and have now re engaged Sean to design and landscape the front garden!

Dear all Cube have been nothing but professial in all,aspects from the design through Sean to the planting through Anna i would recommend their work at the highest level. And I am very happy for any one local to come and see for them selves I have had work done at the front of the house and Cube are returning in Febuary for the rear overal cost for both around £20,000 Thank you Cube and best wishes for 2016.
