Cynthia Weber Design

Cabernet Carpets is a supplier of bespoke rugs for the design industry. We were so pleased to work with Cynthia Weber Design this year on a truly lovely large custom area rug for one of her client projects. Working with Cynthia is a pleasure. Her attention to detail from concept to completion speaks volumes about her dedication to her clients. I look forward to working with her again in the future.

We worked with Cynthia on a major restoration/addition of our stone farmhouse a few years ago. It was a very large project and as such a few areas were left for a future time. This year we undertook those areas and asked Cynthia to work with us again to continue designing for two rooms located off of the great room and a full bonus room design in keeping with what she had created for us in the initial project. As such she designed wonderful custom cabinetry creating a highly functioning office area as well as a library unit which has extended and enhanced how we use and enjoy the main floor of our home greatly. In addition, the previously under-utilized bonus room above the garage is now a well appointed and versatile space with a built in window seat with integrated storage, overnight guest accommodation and a seating area for relaxing. We look forward to working with Cynthia again in the coming year as we embark on a new cottage build!

Cynthia has been excellent to work with as we continue using her services into 2021. She listened to our needs and helped us transition to a new colour palette to suit our new dwelling and was aesthetically appealing to us and our lifestyle. She requested we identify existing pieces of furniture and art important to us and she suggested how to incorporate our pieces into our new look. Cynthia looked for cost saving opportunities on fabrics and furniture pieces which allowed us to maximize the changes needed. She helped us prioritize changes within a budget and managed the timetable of deliverables. It has been a pleasure working with Cynthia and we look forward her advice as we continue to update our home.

We just love the reconfiguration and design elements Cynthia introduced to our lake house. When she came to see our place for the first time, she immediately had fantastic ideas for making the great room seem even more spacious and comfortable. Her eye for detail, colour coordination, furniture selection, and use of space - all with a bit of pizzazz thrown in - has transformed the main living space in our home into a special place. Cynthia was generous with the details and introduced a few surprises that added a unique touch. Wanda literally screamed with delight when she first saw the finished product. We wish we had another place on which we could let Cynthia loose!

Cynthia helped us build our new home, so when it was time if complete our loft and office space we knew we wanted to hire her again. She did a fantastic job incorporating elements from the rest of our home to create flow, while at the same time adding new colours and textures to also define it as a unique space. The result has been a beautiful office, guest room, lounge area, craft/homework station, bathroom and kitchenette all in one!

I have had the pleasure of photographing several of Cynthia’s client projects as well as her own home for magazine features over the years. On several of these shoots Cynthia also acted as stylist. Cynthia has an abundance of creative talent which shines through in all her beautiful work. She also is practical, organized and dedicated to her clients. She brings all those skills to every design project she takes on creating beautifully designed homes that reflect the unique needs and personalities of her clients. I have enjoyed working with Cynthia and look forward to collaborating with her in the future.

When my husband and I decided to build a new home, I searched for the perfect designer. I was blessed to find Cynthia. Cynthia simply gets it. She knew what would suit our style and family best, and has created a space that is not only beautiful, but is us. She helped at every stage, from the floor plan design to the tea towels now beautifying our kitchen. We have young children, and I so appreciate that Cynthia was able to source beautiful finishes and furniture that were also child friendly. We were so happy to have so many Canadian, locally sourced pieces as part of the project. You should see the cabinetry- there are no words! Not to mention the gorgeous artwork by her late uncle, Peter Etril Snyder, which has brought Canadian landscapes into so many parts of our home. I highly recommend Cynthia. We recently bought a new build with an open concept great room. Beautiful but overwhelming. Cynthia spent a great deal of time (and patience) helping me identify my style and vision. I was full of anxiety and lost sleep worrying how draperies, furnishings, carpet and colour would work. As each piece arrived the room came together with style, comfort and the "wow factor" we wanted to achieve. I love it! Cynthia's eye for colour and quality is flawless. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I have been working with Cynthia for a couple years on a large fieldstone farmhouse renovation project. This renovation project started when I was expecting my fourth child, working full time and my husband was entering his busy season at work. Needless to say, I needed help! Cynthia was involved in all stages of our renovation process, from reviewing the design plans, choosing cabinetry, flooring, paint colours, window coverings… you name it! My biggest concern when renovating one half of our old stone house, was that the house would feel like ‘old house / new house’. Cynthia’s attention to detail and incredible network of suppliers were invaluable. For example, the gentleman who built our cabinetry (ordered through Cynthia’s studio) does not have hydro, a phone or a car and did all the work by generator- how cool is that? I never would have found him, and he did an immaculate job of our cabinetry- and the quality and unique old-school style could never be achieved at a 'run of the mill' cabinet shop. I have no hesitation in recommending Cynthia to anyone doing renovations or building a new home. I know Cynthia is quite capable of working with any style (modern, traditional, etc.)- but I know first-hand that she can knock the farmhouse style out of the park. On a personal note- Cynthia and Kent have become like family and I will very much miss working with them. Though, I’m happy to report they still stop by from time to time when touring by our farm. We were very pleased with the service and results of Cynthia Weber Design in the major renovation of our cottage. Cynthia transformed our 1960's vintage cottage decor into a modern up to date open concept design. She provided the professional advise that we required to move confidently forward with this project. We would certainly recommend Cynthia to anyone thinking of undertaking similar renovations. We were extremely pleased with the results and look forward to enjoying our new and updated cottage.

We undertook a large scale renovation of a 40 year old home including a full redesign of the main floor and master bedroom/ensuite. Design is not a strong suit of mine so I began researching designers and loved Cynthia's work. Working with Cynthia on this project was one of the best decisions we made. We felt Cynthia was superb in all aspects. First and foremost, she is incredibly knowledgable about design and was able to come up with a beautiful layout and colour scheme based on a few sentiments And pictures I shared with her. She nailed it right away. Cynthia was also sensitive to budget and our environmental preferences and helped us find some fabulous locally made pieces of furniture. She worked within our budget to get high quality products. Cynthia was by far one of the most professional trades people we worked with on the reno. All of her own work was completed on time and as promised. When contractors or other suppliers were delayed, Cynthia was flexible and accommodating whenever possible. We asked Cynthia to join us when visiting our kitchen supplier and she worked wonderfully with the in house designer. In fact, the in house designer later complimented us for working with Cynthia. The few times we felt dissatisfied with a product, she dealt with it immediately and rectified the issue (some cases a return and in others a quick lesson on how to use the product correctly). Our house is wonderful and we are so appreciative of Cynthia and her beautiful work. Highly recommend Cynthia Weber Designs!

Working with Cynthia on designing and updating our heritage farmhouse has been an absolute pleasure. Cynthia was profoundly insightful and collaborative from the moment she stepped into our house. She is amazingly skilled at ushering a home into the new millennium while respecting and showcasing its historic features. She helped me see where the previous colours, layout, and styles were conflicting with the history of our house and even who we are now and how we live. It turns out, our taste, our art, and our lifestyle has changed over 10 years…surprise! Cynthia made it ok for me to acknowledge that we had outgrown that style and that it was time to dive into revitalizing our space. On top of being a stand-out designer, Cynthia is genuinely warm with a wonderful sense of humour. Especially as she navigates the perilous waters of marital strife during redesign projects.
