Worked with Dennis on re-designing our entire home. He was able to completely update our house while keeping the original charm that made us buy it in the first place. He was also able to expand the overall square footage while keeping it in scale with the rest of the neighborhood. His design skills along with modeling the entire design on the computer helped us visualize everything from the feel of the rooms to the type of light to expect any day of the year. I highly recommend using him.

Dennis designed a home for us that continues to meet our needs even seven years after we moved in. His project management, interface with the contractor and over-all involvement with the project made the design and construction of our new home a positive experience.

Dennis prepared project plans for an historic rehabilitation and remodel of a cottage in Capitola Village. The work involved converting the building from commercial to residential, following historic preservation requirements on the exterior, structural upgrade, and an interior plan. DDA's knowledge of historic preservation and particular talent in creating an interesting and functional floor plan resulted in a successful project.

When we bought our 1926 cottage in Mill Valley, Ca, we knew that we wanted to do a remodel. Although the original house was charming and had character, it desperately was in need of an update. After working with another architect for a year, we were feeling that no one would “get” what we were looking for in our new home. We spoke to Dennis briefly about our frustration and he sketched an idea for our house on a piece of scrap paper. He got it! He was able to take our ideas and create a new home that had an amazing flow and feel. Although he was located in Santa Cruz, he was able to work with our builder, the City of Mill Valley (no easy feat!), and us to design our dream home. Thank you Dennis for a job well done!
