Derek and his team did a phenomenal job on my custom build. He made the whole process so smooth and seamless. They were able to capture my vision and make it into a reality. The quality of the work is impeccable. I highly recommend them!

Buffalo Bungalow exceeds all expectations. Derek is the easiest person to work with- always responsive and easy to connect with. When there's any issue at all, he is ON TOP of it right away. The best thing about Buffalo Bungalow is the house doesn't look cookie cutter or like stock pieces- it looks beautifully custom. It portrays true craftsmanship. We could not be happier with our house!! Everywhere we turn, there's a breathtaking view. We would work with Derek over and over again- no regrets at all!! Thank you for our dream home. My husband and I just completed our new build with Buffalo Bungalow. We cannot say enough good things about this company. They were incredible to work with and their fearless leader, Derek, was always happy to answer any question we had. He eased our concerns throughout the process and made it such a wonderful experience. We are so grateful to have found such an amazing company to work with us to build our dream home. We met Derek after interviewing a ton of different builders. The thing that was different about Derek was that all other builders talked about feelings the house would make you feel or something about the design. We knew Derek's houses looked really good so we were not worried about the looks, but instead of talking about design, Derek talked about the materials that he used and why. For our house, 6" outer walls for insulation, CoreTec Floors standard, flooring that is unique in that it doesn't warp if it gets covered in snow in construction. No one else put the time into talking about the building materials. No one else appeared to have a house this well made. We hope this is a house that will last many families many lifetimes. Also, Derek's prices were competitive as well. The house was great. Building is always a little stressful, doubley so when there are so many choices to be made, but Derek was great and patient through the whole process and we could not have been happier. Also, the home is truly one of a kind. We drew up a picture on a piece of paper, his architect refined it until it made sense and all the quirks were out, his designer made it look amazing, and we built it! One thing we really appreciated was his willingness to hear, 'we want to explore another option' for something and he gave a great recommendation and it worked out well. Can't wait to work again with Buffalo Bungalow on finishing our basement at some point.

When we were thinking of building our new house, there were so many options to choose from and it became overwhelming. Really listened to us, especially during the design phase. Put all our worries at ease, and we had major anxiety about building. Very accepting of my partner and our LGBT lifestyle, full disclosure because Mike their carpenter is my partner. Either way no regrets and would recommend to anyone who values quality.

Our experience with Derek and Laurie was exceptional. When we started our journey, we knew we wanted a larger house for our growing family, but we weren't even sure we wanted to build. We had family and friends who had built with some of the bigger builders in the area and they didn't seem to have the best experience. We have very specific style and we knew none of the builders we had come across in the area could really match our style, until we saw Derek and Laurie's work. Their work is modern and unique, I had not seen anything like it locally. I reached out to Derek, not knowing what to really expect. Derek answered all my questions over the phone and explained the process of building from start to finish. I was impressed with his friendliness, passion for his work, and his "non-salesman" attitude. I had some interaction with other builders and the conversations were almost always very business-esque. After we met, we talked to Derek constantly, asking him many, many questions and he always answered thoroughly, quickly, and in a friendly manner. He and Laurie assisted us in finding land, making sure the land was appropriate for the build, talking through the design, making design selections, choosing lighting and electrical outlet locations, and much much more. Derek was very open minded regarding some of our ideas, like putting an antique window into a wall and facilitating a fence and sod installation at the end of the build so that our dogs would have somewhere safe to run around. Design choices were abundant, we could choose any paint color, we were allowed to shop for things on our own if we wanted outside of his normal vendors, and we even brought in our own custom cabinet maker. This is unheard of according to some of our friends and families who have built. We spoke with Derek sometimes daily during the build, and even now several months later we still communicate. Our build took about as long as they told us it would, even during a pandemic. We have now lived in our home since October and we are very happy with the end result and would recommend Buffalo Bungalow to others with high regard.

We are so happy with our new modern duplex in the neighborhood of Larkinville in Buffalo, NY! Derek and everyone at Buffalo Bungalow were an incredible team to work with every step of the way. They listened to our story, understood our style, and were able to translate our wants and needs into an incredible final product. We wanted to be very involved throughout the process, and Derek was always very responsive to our questions and encouraging when we needed to stop by the house and check in on progress or add new ideas. Buffalo Bungalow's team is super detail-oriented and hold themselves to an incredibly high standard, and it absolutely shows in the final details and finishes. We could not be happier with the quality of materials, level of communication, planning, and support throughout the entire process. Buffalo Bungalow was so incredible to work with. They go above and beyond in every aspect of the project. From conception to construction to completion, Derek always made sure we were comfortable and at ease with the build. He uses the highest quality materials and craftsmen. He accommodated all of our worries and adjustments. We even had to move a wall after framing and it was no big deal. I never felt stressed working with Derek. He was always a text or email away with same day responses, often within minutes. I never had to worry that things were being done properly and professionally. I wouldn’t even think of working with a different builder, and I’m so happy we met Derek instead of going with one of those bigger build companies. Just hire Buffalo Bungalow, you won’t regret it.

Buffalo Bungalow was amazing to work with every single step of the way! Derek made sure everything stayed on track and stopped by our property DAILY, sometimes twice a day. He kept in touch and was always available if need be. He honestly cares about each house he builds and takes pride in his work. Any changes we wanted, he was on top of it and relay to his contractors immediately. The contractors BB use, are top notch and use A+ materials. I was nervous building a new home, but Derek made it as easy as it can be. If you are looking to build or remodel, I would recommend Buffalo Bungalow over and over again.
