Diego Correa Interior Design

My wife and I interviewed a number of designers to redesign and complete our terrace. We both wanted a space that was integrated with the interior, as the main room of the flat has windows around 300 degrees of view, and the terrace, which wraps around that room, is thus an integral part of the look and feel of the entire flat. We also asked for a space that made people want to go and sit in it and enjoy it. Diego did a great job designing and furnishing the entire terrace, working with a variety of specialist suppliers, to create exactly the space we were looking for. We also asked Diego to oversee all of the works. He is extremely diligent and always present, making sure that every last detail is attended to with precision. We both give him 5 stars for his excellent design and management.

Diego was really amazing, he put a lot of effort in finding alternatives furniture or item when they were not to my liking, he a very good listener and is very professional by summarising all conversations in an e-mail to avoid any misunderstanding. Diego used 3 contractors (builder for walls and extra plugs, curtain maker and furniture maker) and the three delivered very high quality work and at a competitive price. Diego put more hours than I paid for but wanted to see the work through to my entire satisfaction. He is extremely well organised, and all deliveries went very smoothly with ample warning to organise my time. Diego organised all ordering and deliveries and even took care of returns of one item I did not like. Diego had a vision for the entire flat and found items per items to make a whole which is very pleasant to live in. I loved the painting he proposed, the reading area is very cosy and I receive a lot of compliment from visiting friends. The hall way is amazing and Diego thought of a very beautiful design with floor to ceiling symmetrical mirrors flanking a beautiful Chinese (but modern) large cabinet. Diego, has attention to details and check all the work his contractors do for the client and take responsibility to have a perfect final result. Diego is pleasant, polite but most importantly, I think that he cares about his work and hence has the highest professional standard. Diego also expect the client to be responsive and Diego sets the communication plan from the first meeting. I was extremely satisfied with the final result and I now love my space, which is beautiful and classy and still very homely.

Diego worked with me to design and plan the refurbishment of my terraced home in London. We started with my initial ideas for how I wanted my home to feel and over the weeks Diego created sketches and then detailed drawings to turn these feelings into designs. He has a great attention to detail, listens carefully and offers excellent interpretations in his design concepts. Diego produced the detailed architectural drawings, the designs for the custom made furniture, the lighting and electrical layout drawings and has provided concepts for the decorating. He developed a detailed, room by room scope of work document which was invaluable for the contractors quoting the work and for my ability to manage the costs. The work progressed well and was completed with my budgeted expectations. It was great to see the designs and ideas coming to life each week. He has been wonderful to work with, produced great quality drawings and was very supportive of the work going on at site. Highly recommended!

On doubling our floor space at work we know we would need strong, consistent design and project management to make the most of this expansion Diego helped West Digital transform the building next to our current one and ensured that the initial designs carried through to the end product with a consistent colour palette throughout the facility His dedicated attention to detail throughout the project ensured that we now have a space our staff and clients can enjoy.. I will be using Diego's services again at home on my extension

Diego Correa of Diego Correa Interior Design came on board to support us on a project when we needed to design the interior of our reception area in the new Duaris Ltd Showroom. Diego listened to what we needed in the brief, and we were very happy with his interior design layout suggested. He was extremely effective in his engagement and communication style – we were always kept in the loop of his ideas/ thoughts etc. The outcome of the project has surpassed our expectations and we are absolutely thrilled with the final result. Diego Correa is a consummate designer, with impeccable taste and an ability to clearly articulate his vision. Which inspired us to want to give him an amazing product. He took our aluminium waterproof art panels and used one to disguise a flat screen television. He devised a way to use a motor to lift the panel when the television is in use and to lower it so the black frame of the the flat screen creates the illusion of a framed piece of art. The experience was so gratifying for Via-Arkadia that we invited him to give a talk on metals and design at our Clerkenwell Autumn 2015 show.

In late 2014 I was about to embark upon the design and fit out of a new premium showroom in East Grinstead, West Sussex. For many months we had focused hard on creating a progressive lifestyle brand which was fresh, innovative, engaging and contemporary and whilst I was happy that my people, literature and website conveyed this I was gravely concerned that the physical element of our brand, the Concept Centre, would miss the point. During the very early stages of planning I was overrun by strong opinions, including supply chain, colleagues and even friends and family as to what they thought we should do and for me this meant confusion and a vision that was being changed and distorted continually. It was at this stage that I stopped to evaluate how I could protect the integrity of our brand and ensure that my vision could move from concept to reality, so I set about creating a brief to impart how I perceived the business now and what my aspirations were. It was at this time, and I consider this to be good luck, that I was introduced to Diego. Until this time I had no real experience of Interior Designers or the process and frankly, I was astonished. The overriding impressions that I initially gained were ones of control, care and crucially, trust. I moved from a place where I could almost tangibly see my brief being eroded away by external influences to one where I had complete confidence that I had someone ‘looking out for me’ and someone who would ensure that the solution would work. I also found that Diego had a great commercial awareness, meaning that whilst he ensured everything looked good that he inherently understood and asked how this would work for my clientele. This project had many challenges with multiple stakeholders being a key one. However, Diego remained completely focused and never wavered from the fact that I was his client and that he would work tirelessly to defend and uphold the brief – he operates with complete integrity. To this end Diego met with the other stakeholders regularly to explain progress and proposals and to manage their expectations ensuring that the relationships that are crucial to me and my business partnership were supported and maintained. The concept phase was an exciting time as I could begin to see Diego’s visualization of my brief, the meaning of his selections and how his choices interacted, connected and created an atmosphere for the space. Once presented and approved the project moved onwards to working drawings and product sourcing and again I was most impressed by the incredible attention to detail and the complete professionalism shown. I was most impressed by the clever way that Diego introduced materials and colour schemes/themes to build subtle consistencies that reinforced the themes of my brand. At pretty much every stage of the process Diego put me at ease and helped me to enjoy what was a very complex project. As a general but important note, Diego is also one of the nicest people that I have met in business and whilst he is an exemplary professional I can also consider him a good friend. I would not embark on a project of this nature again without an Interior Design specialist such as Diego. Emphatically recommended.

Diego was our designer at Increation, he was an absolute pleasure to work with. He designed a gorgeous bathroom that was stylish yet practical. He made sure that our needs and tastes were reflected in the design and decoration, and skilfully guided us to the right choice when we didn’t know what we wanted! When I met Diego, I was in the middle of going through a purchase of a flat in Dalston. After discussing some design ideas, I came around to the idea of using his services. Like most people, I had planned to do all the design, planning and decorator management myself. I gave Diego a 1 page selection of photos showing my tastes. It just included pictures from films I liked. From this Diego created extremely detailed concept plans which meant I could really see how things would turn out. I liked 99% of his ideas and any changes were made without difficulty. From design concept to finishing the works, Diego’s attention to detail, drawings and management of the workmen meant the whole process went through very smoothly. Now it’s done, I (and others) can see that there is no way my flat would be anywhere near as impeccable as it is now. He really understood what I was looking for and he made it happen. So well done Diego! A superbly handled project from start to finish. My home is way beyond my expectations.

"I employed Diego when I was building a new house in East Sussex. I am a very busy person and was looking for somebody to take away the stresses of sourcing suitable interiors and have somebody on hand to advise me while building works were ongoing. Two years ago we started an extensive remodeling project for a medium sized flat in Central London. The flat was stripped down to the bare walls and completely refitted. Diego was then the Senior Designer at InCreation, who were in charge of managing and executing the works. My wife and I had only some vague ideas about what we wanted. Diego made this otherwise stressful experience very easy. He quietly did all the hard work, creating complete designs for every room, with an amazing attention for details of form and function. He thought through everything, and left to us only the fun part of making the basic decisions about materials and decor. He quickly got to know us and was able to present us with choices that we could relate to. Diego has a clear vision of what he wants, and lots of experience, yet he never told us what to do nor presented his views as the right ones. We always felt we were in control of the project. He is a very open person, humble and competent, totally unpretentious, and speaks from the heart. Pretty soon, we felt we could trust him implicitly. Now the project is starting to near completion, and looking back, I can see how much he did for us, in his unassuming way. As each room gets done, I can see that the outcome is the idea we wanted to express; but also that Diego's work made it make sense, both functionally and esthetically. Diego cares about his work; after he no longer was working for InCreation, having started his own business, he came back to the flat several times, without us asking, just to make sure everything was proceeding as in the designs.
