Based in Tropical North Queensland, EDR Building Designs is an award winning firm specialising primarily in new custom design homes. Led by designer Ernest Raso, who holds a Bachelor in Building Design, Open Building Design licence and has extensive experience in the design of new homes, renovations, commercial, industrial, multi residential and government buildings. We are passionate about environmentally sustainable buildings, therefore we design to maximise specific habitats including but not limited to solar paths, prevailing winds, a northerly aspect, material selection and potential energy usage are all taken into account. We are ABSA Accredited for Thermal Performance Assessment and are able utilise this technology by ensuring your design is well on its way to exceeding BCA requirements. My husband and I recently engaged EDR Building Designs to create building plans for our new home. We can say with all sincerity that we found Ernest and Michelle to be professional, honest and innovative throughout the entire process. We found that Ernest truly listened to what we wanted and while he never tried to sway us from our overall vision, he also wasn't afraid to offer suggestion and advice if he felt something could be improved. He was very clear in creating something that suited our property, though was always conscious of our budget. We additionally found Michelle to be efficient and friendly in all administrative aspects. Our plans have resulted in a family home that we are extremely happy with and we are truly grateful to EDR Building Designs for their valued contribution.

Building Design Queensland

The Building Designers Association of Queensland confirms that Ernest Raso from EDR Building Designs is a member of the BDAQ. A full member of BDAQ must hold a QBCC License in Building Design which requires particular technical qualifications and years of experience. As a BDAQ member they made a commitment to support and promote the ideals of the association in striving always to deliver the highest standards of built environment outcomes to our clients and the community

Completed residential house design. We found the staff of EDR Concepts very approachable and easy to talk with throughout the process. They acted very professionally right throughout the design process, listening to what we wanted and happy to work with us in regards to changes during the design process. They treated us with respect even when we wanted to make changes.

Ernest is friendly helpful and to the point. He is prompt to answer emails and just gets in and does the job. He is able to say what won't work and make suggestions for alternatives as required. He can interpret our thoughts and quickly comes up with designs on paper. Have seen larger projects that he worked with and these too fit into the environment and meet the clients needs perfectly. Would use him again.

A commenté : beautiful kitchenhello, the benchtop was something I made up using a steel substrate clad with reconstituted granite, the colour is a concrete look alike colour hopefully this helps!

A commenté : paint- what colours are the grey and white paint please?My apologies for the delay in responding. Just incase its not too late. The cladded wall colour is Colorbond "Dune" and the white is Dulux' White on White"
