We engaged Brent for our major home reno project in 2018. We were very happy with Brent and his patience as we asked for various design scenarios. Brent brings expertise and best practices from his past projects to his design work. He also had an excellent working relationship with our General Contractor. We initially engaged Ellergodt Design for the design of our lake house based on a solid recommendation from friends. We knew however after the first interview that we had made the right choice. Brent’s expertise, experience and calm demeanor made for a very smooth design process. Throughout we found the design process very collaborative with Brent always ready to provide options and alternatives to supplement our original overall concept. We had a very positive experience working with Brent and his team. Our project was a bit unique as we are building a house based on Vastu principles, and had already engaged a Vastu architect who is not based in Canada. The main layout was designed by our Vastu architect. We needed a team who would work collaboratively with our Vastu architect, and help us finalize a design that we liked, and would meet the requirements of our local County. Brent and his team were so easy to work with - both with us as well as our Vastu architect. They took the time to understand the Vastu requirements, our tastes and needs, and then developed our detailed plans, including an exterior design. Once they provided us the construction drawings, they also supported us throughout our permitting process, providing additional details/clarifications that the County required. In addition, they gave us excellent recommendations for our other needs such as a company to do the engineering assessment and drawings, energy consultants etc. We have already recommended Ellergodt Design to friends, and will gladly continue to do so - thank you Brent and Jessica!

As an interior designer, I'm very particular with the residential designers that I want to collaborate with - Brent and his team are one of the best I have had the pleasure to work with. He is super responsive, willing to take feedback and will work on the project until it's perfect. Brent provided us a wonderful experience in home design, especially as this was our first big renovation project. We loved what he brought to the table. He was extremely easy to speak with, to bounce ideas off of, and was extremely receptive to our ideas. He provided great insight into design at a macro level and especially to our specific project, for which he gave us sooo much more useable space in ways that we, as home users, hadn't thought was real possibility. He shared with us his process and thoughts, which made it more relaxed than it could have been. What we may have appreciated most was the time in which it took him to incorporate our ideas into his design; if it wasn't while in conversation with him, it would be the same day. We couldn't have asked for a more positive experience as our first time and highly recommend him and Ellergodt Design.
