We recently worked with Elaine M. Johnson for a landscape overhaul, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome! From start to finish, Elaine, showcased her creativity, professionalism, and expertise as a landscape designer and project manager! From our first interaction, Elaine was a joy to work with! She exuded confidence and competence which was so reassuring! Our project was significant, and quite daunting to us, but Elaine was able to see through the rubble that was our yard, and imagine a beautiful landscape. She offered fantastic suggestions and worked within our budget. She listened attentively to our concerns, offering insightful suggestions and solutions along the way. Elaine and her team completely transformed our property into a stunning design, incorporating beautiful plant selections and innovative landscaping. It was by chance that I found Elaine, but I am certainly glad I did. We were building a home with all the challenges and decisions that come along with that process. What I needed was a professional who could look at a cleared lot and develop a plan that would complement the house we were building on it. It was clear from the beginning that Elaine knew what she was doing, and she designed a layout based on our input along with her expertise. A very challenging project to create privacy and curb appeal on a small corner lot. Elaine is amazing. She transformed what was barren to a zen like oasis. A little hardscape, a little fencing, and brilliant plantings. We have worked with other pros in the past with egos larger than a sequoia on steroids Elaine made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. She listens, knows what works, and has excellent taste. I would rate higher but 5 stars is the limit. Unequivocally I would highly recommend her.

Elaine knows her stuff! We hired Elaine to help us redesign our dearly neglected property. Her knowledge of plants and choices for our property were spot on. She oversaw the entire project from tree work (Damien Johnson and Johnson tree service was wonderful to work with!), to fencing, and everything in between. Kurt and the guys at Clover Landscaping also did an amazing job. Everyone was very responsive to any concerns or adjustments that arose during the process ("Hey, can we add a stone wall?"), or if things needed some tweaking after the project was finished. I am sure I will be working with Elaine again! A few before and after photos below.

We had the pleasure of having Elaine help up with "Phase 2" for our backyard which included an outside kitchen and pickleball court, along with some updated plantings and landscaping. Just like her help with "Phase 1", Elaine is a true professional and her passion for landscape architecture really shines. Not only does Elaine take the worry out of these projects by coordinating EVERYTHING that we wanted her to do but she also allows and welcomes our input. It's a true partnership. Our outside has been completely transformed with Elaine's help....and at a reasonable cost. Many of our neighbors and people that have seen our property have marveled at the transformation (as have we). I would highly recommend Elaine to anyone considering outside work on their property. It's one of the best investments we have made and I'm sure we will be doing a "Phase 3" with Elaine in the future as well.

We first contacted Elaine in the Spring of this year to seek advice on a landscape plan for our home on Cape Cod. As a new build, the yard was basically a "clean slate." We were overwhelmed and had no idea where to even begin. Elaine immediately had a vision for the space that creatively addressed all of our needs and concerns. In addition, her suggestions and recommendations regarding building materials, reputable contractors, appropriate plants, as well as garden accessories, were invaluable. We are delighted with our new curved patio and complementary plantings! Elaine is a pleasure to work with, was respectful of our deadlines and preferences, and we are looking forward to working with her on Phase 2 of our design next Spring!

I met Elaine almost 7 years ago when she came to look at my new home in Yarmouth - I told her my yard was a "disaster" - she told me it was a "blank canvas"...and so, we began. While I couldn't start the yard renovation (which was extensive & expensive) until 7 years later, Elaine and I kept in touch all along and I knew she would be the one to make my vision become reality. She did not disappoint. Not only was Elaine so easy to work with - she put me in touch with the finest contractors to make our vision reality. She walked me through the entire process really listening to exactly what I wanted and anticipated things before I did. She was responsive, honest, and professional. She also has an incredible eye for landscape design - she suggested things I never would have thought of and when I saw them, I thought "perfection". She is among the best contractors I've worked with while I've been on the Cape. My project is now finished and I could not possibly be any happier with how it turned out. She is simply the best and anyone who works with her will immediately see that she is not only a quality landscape designer, but a quality person as well.

This past autumn I had the pleasure of working with Elaine Johnson for the second year in a row. My front and side yards needed some sprucing plus a front brick walkway was disintegrating. Elaine was the right person for my project which encompassed an entire front yard of approximately 9000 sq ft. It involved an entirely new front entry with a long driveway which encompassed an island that tied into a walkway right to the front door. She is a professional with a wide knowledge of not only design but of the many trees and plants that are out there from which to choose. I had definite likes and dislikes and she kept that in mind on our "shopping day!" She worked in tandem with a local construction company which was a marvel to watch! If it wasn't right on, it was done over! Kurt, boss of the crew, is a gem. They were a great team ! They both met their deadlines.

When construction ended of our home renovation project, I searched Houzz for a landscape designer, falmouth, ma. and found Elaine Johnson. From our very first meeting we knew we wanted to work with her to create a design for our front yard and the front foundation plantings. Elaine is easy to work with and has complete knowledge of the myriad plants, shrubs and trees available and their growing conditions. She always knew right away what would or would not work as we discussed plant or design options. She really listened to help us create the look we wanted. As a result of our home's unique design and off center entrance the project was challenging. Elaine just did the first section of a muti-phase project..and we re thrilled!! We recently tore down our house and rebuilt. The process required taking down old trees that had provided years of privacy. So, we ended up with a house floating on a lot. The first priority was to provide privacy, and Elaine did just that. Beautifully. We love it. Our neighbors love it. Really couldn't ask for more than that. Except, of course, that Elaine is easy to work with and provides excellent connections to people who will help us maintain what she has done. We have had a lot of people try to help us. None have had the vision and understanding that Elaine has.

Elaine is the consummate professional. Her knowledge of all to requisite components of landscape design is extensive. We built a home on Cape Cod and asked Elaine to design gardens, walkways, patios, and a new driveway. Her plan exceeded our expectations and was within our budget. We now have a home with property that is lush and green with beautiful trees, shrubs and flowers - a wonderful, peaceful retreat. We are delighted!

Elaine is very easy to work with and is very enthusiastic about beautiful plants, flowers and trees. She designed two gardens for my Cape cottage that involved transplanting some existing plants and adding new ones. When two hydrangea trees died within days of planting , she replaced them within hours. Clover landscaping did an amazing job bringing Elaine's design to fruition.

Elaine did a landscape design for the back portion of our property. This included a stone patio, walkway and steps leading down to the lower level. She also added some trees (for screening) and other plant materials. Elaine really understood my tastes and gave me exactly want I wanted. She used Clover Landscaping to implement her plan and was there ever step of the way. She combined her great artistic style with the utmost professionalism. I'm looking forward to spring when she can finish with planting and redo the front of our property. Spring 2016 Elaine came back with her crew from Clover Landscaping and extended the gardens around the side of our house to the front. She added a Pergola and Trellis to define the spaces and added several trees, many bushes and perennials. As always, she is a true professional. I love what she has done and so do our many guests who have visited this summer. I'm looking forward to our next project of redoing the front yard.

The first thing that struck me about Elaine Johnson was how knowledgeable she was. She knew what trees/plants would work, their history and any issues. Second was her vision of how the landscape should appear, and could give arguments as to why. All of which were very sound. She also works very well with the landscape company that would be doing the work, and was open to their suggestions. My builder was very impressed, particularly with the fact she listened. I've enjoyed working with her from the outset and feel her design is very impressive. Elaine was also respectful of the budget limits. I can easily highly recommend her without any hesitation. Elaine designed lovely and original landscaping for the front of our house. Nelson, Elaine's employee, planted the shrubs with care and attention to spacing. Suggestions were offered for further work we may want to pursue in the future. Elaine created two truly gorgeous and unique planters for us, one which had unusual Datura blooms all summer long. We will call on Elaine next season, and consider her a knowledgeable and creative landscape designer, full of ideas and a pleasure to work with.

We discovered Elaine on Houzz several years ago and she has helped us turn our scruffy front yard on Cape Cod into a wonderful, well-planned panorama of colorful annuals, perennials, shrubs and trees accented by stone walls and stone walkways. The planning process was fun and we always look forward to seeing Elaine to discuss our annuals. Elaine has a gift. She is knowledgable on all aspects of landscaping( plants, lighting, columns, arbors) She is also quite artistic. She gets to know her clients well and creates beautiful landscaping to reflect their personalities. She's the whole package. Her local connections have skill and are reliable. From my first meeting with Elaine, I knew she was the perfect designer for our project. My husband and I wanted to add a screened porch addition to the back of our home and improve our landscaping at the same time. It was important us that both design components work in unison and be cohesive. To complicate matters, we have Golden Retrievers so the yard must also be dog friendly. Beautiful and dog friendly.... that was asking for a lot! But Elaine wasn't the least bit stimied and was instrumental in pulling it all together. Her creativity, vision, knowledge of plants and materials is amazing. She asked many thought provoking questions throughout the process that greatly improved the project. She opened our eyes to things we didn't even know were possible. She treated our yard as if it were her own! Elaine's professional partnership with Clover Landscape was the icing on the cake, so to speak. Their abilities, attitude and work ethic is second to none. They transformed Elaine's design vision into reality with speed and perfection. We could not be more thrilled with the outcome. Next project: our front yard -- and we wouldn't dream of hiring anyone but Elaine. Thank you Elaine. We started this project as strangers and now I feel as though I've made a new lifelong friend. Elaine Johnson exceeded our expectations from start to finish. I spoke with many landscapers and designers, but no one shared our vision for a natural design that integrated all the existing spaces with a unique cohesion of imagination and seasonal splendor. It was discouraging. Many messages remained unreturned. When I stumbled on Elaine’s website, I just KNEW her artistic sensibilities were aligned with our goals. She contacted me immediately, and upon our first meeting, Elaine listened intently to our objectives, concerns, and interests. My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Elaine Johnson this past spring at our home on the Cape. We had overgrowth in the front of our home and needed to relocate, demolish and add trees, shrubs, flowers and window boxes. She was delightful, insightful, very creative and a pleasure to work with. She was approachable and open to our vision. The project went smoothly and the end result was a welcoming, warm home with great curb appeal.
