We are finishing up the last bits and pieces of the complete rebuild of our Manhattan Beach vacation home in Southern California. Erin King Interiors has been integral to the project from initial design development to completion. Without a doubt, Erin helped us realize our vision for the house. We wanted a home that retained the exterior beach charm of its predecessor while reconfiguring the interior for maximum comfort and use. Often this meant taking the architectural plans and translating them to meet our personality and our way of living. What a success! From the moment of entering the house, the eye is directed outside to the coastal views. At the same time, the interior makes people want to move between the different spaces, so that the entire house is used and enjoyed. The colors are a mixture of ocean blues and driftwood grays that invite calm and relaxation. The textures are soft and tactile. The interior is open and friendly and yet there are plenty of comfortable nooks and crannies for privacy, including four terraces with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Erin captured our dream home completely -- creating a modern beach house that is fresh and inviting: a perfect home away from home.

We decided to tear down our old beach cottage and rebuild it into a new, 6800 square feet state-of-the art house. Our objective was to create a house with a "beachy" feel that maintained the charm of the old one but with all the modern amenities. The entire project was about 3.5 million. Erin King Interiors were hired as the interior designer. Working with the architect, Erin played a major role in the design and lay-out of the house. It was many of her ideas that helped us achieve the architectural look and feel we were hoping for. The interior design process was organized, timely and provided plenty of different options for us to choose from. She sourced our items, coordinated with the architect and contractor and was a major and integral part of the build from beginning to end. She is very pleasant to work with and played well as an integral part of the entire team. Erin cut her teeth working for a woman who dealt with ultra high net work individuals. This was a big project for Erin and she handled it in a highly professional manner. The biggest compliment we can pay her is that she helped us achieve the vision we had at the outset.
