Fisher Custom Homes is a First class home builder. The team was very professional and knew what they were doing. My house was built on hillside in Paradise Valley and the construction was completed on time and under budget. Nine years living in my house I have no defects in the stucco, drywall, windows, roof or stone. In fact I have never had to have Fisher come to my house for any repairs. I recommend Fisher Custom Home to build your home without any reservations.

Incredible builder for over 40 years in the Scottsdale/Phoenix Area. If you are realistic and trust the professionals at Fisher than the experience is wonderful. We started with a blank canvas and had them use their in house architectural services and design for our custom home. The process was smooth, communication on point and attention to the budget was awesome. Knowing how the home building process goes, we are educated enough to know that there are change orders and issues that pop up. The expectations were discussed and met. I highly recommend Fisher Custom Homes to anyone seeking an established, professional long time resident of the valley conducting business under the same name for many many years.

Not a builder I can recommend. Their capabilities to meet and achieve an extremely reasonable schedule was missed by 40-50%. For most the project a 4 day work week was common practice, nor would a trade sneak in the odd weekend. Once project was months behind it seemed every week they lost another week. Our 2900sq’ home took 17 months (Fisher assured 12 Months when hired) and two neighbouring custom builds at over 5000 had people living in them at 14 months. Quality and cleanliness of site is acceptable. Communication is non existent unless prompted. Budget rarely met, most line items were an initial guess by Fisher and then masked as the daily “change order” when in fact nothing changed, you just can’t get the job done for their budget allowance. IE. several thousand dollar change order to install windows, not one window location or addition made to any plan ever...answer by Fisher Custom Homes...”they were harder to install than anticipated.” Yes, another change order. The project was simply oversold and under delivered. The phrase “on final approach” comes to mind when I think of Fisher Custom Homes, they can build a home, but they are merely trying to get through the day...Better to find a builder who is still trying to build a reputation with hard work, not one whom appears to be living off a time he may have, long ago.

Having a reputation as an exemplary luxury custom home builder for over forty years in North Scottsdale, we regret that you are our first 1-star review. We pride ourselves on our expertise, professionalism and client satisfaction. Being in the customer service industry yourself, we know you understand the importance of reviews like these and consumer recommendations.
To clarify some of your concerns, we would like to explain that the neighborhood in which your home is being built does not allow work on the weekends. As a preferred builder, we strictly follow HOA guidelines not only because of our professionalism, but to also ensure our clients do not receive fines from the HOA or complaints from their future neighbors. During the work week, our trades were onsite every day from the inception of this project.
Your home, specifically, is an authentic adobe build. This means the materials for the structure alone weighs 100 times more than your neighbors’ traditionally-built wood-frame homes. To compare the process, and therefore timeline, between the two builds is unfair. Considering unprecedented labor shortages in the industry, especially in Arizona, we would like to offer our appreciation to the masons that did a splendid job in quality and time. Other industry professionals agree.
The change orders throughout your project were due to details that were not included on the initial plans provided to us at the time your budget was compiled. Again, the authentic adobe build required intricate details to make an accurate (unchanging) budget. We apologize you did not understand this, as we took extra time to make sure you understood the budget was an estimate with allowances to accommodate the actual costs in the field as the project progressed.
Despite your feelings now, near the end of your project, we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you will love your home for many years to come. The design is beautiful, and the quality of the craftsmanship is unsurpassed. Fisher Custom Homes continually strives for the highest quality of our product and the highest satisfaction of our clients. Indeed, we live and work near our clients. They become our neighbors and friends – our family.

Fisher Custom Homes, I highly recommend Fisher Custom Homes; they are three quarters into a very complicated hillside build for me. The home is a prairie style located at the Ridge, DC Ranch, Scottsdale AZ. Tom Fisher and his team have carefully reviewed the building plans, anticipated potential challenges, and identified the critical path. All of this pre planning has lead to a very smooth construction process. ModaScapes Interior Design

The team at AKA is very open-minded and thoughtful in all aspects of a projects' details. As an interior designer, it is key to be able to work with an architectural team that is collaborative by nature, where everyone’s ideas are heard and combined together, are beyond the client’s expectations. It just makes projects so much more enjoyable to work on for everyone! They are always mindful of the client’s needs for function and design sustainable structures for their aesthetics to be highlighted. And Jeff and David are always accessible and ready to solve any obstacles- it’s not about them, it’s about the client’s experience, which falls in-line with my own philosophies. I've worked on several projects with them and always can't wait to start the next one.
