I had searched high and low for the perfect Asian style garden bridge for my moat project and I found it in this website. They have a large variety for bridges, so they should have anything you could possibly need. I found the bridge I liked and they provided free shipping on a mostly assembled product. I came almost ready to go, I just had to assemble the side railings according to the directions provided. I used them because they had the best prices I could find online. After you factor in the free shipping, I think they are impossible to beat!

As part of a planned memorial garden to honor two deceased family members who were avid gardeners, the family was looking for a simple, Asian-style, foot bridge to span the mouth of a spring-fed 3/4 acre pond. The secluded 1 1/2 acre woodland garden is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains in rural Virginia. We were unable to find a bridge source locally and embarked on a web search. It was our good fortune to find Rod Bird at Handcrafted Garden Bridges. His website is very detailed with many pictures of his products and notes from satisfied customers. Our contact was solely via phone. We found Rob to be very knowledgeable about the type of wood we should use, the type of preservative to be applied before final assembly, and the structural modifications required for an arched foot bridge which was to be 4' wide, 14' long, and capable of carrying a load of 600-700 pounds. The completed bridge would be too large to ship economically by truck. Thus, Rod disassembled the assembled bridge, numbered the various components, wrapped them for shipping,and sent them via FedEx truck from Arkansas to Virginia. The predrilled bridge components arrived intact accompanied by stainless steel screws and detailed instructions and pictures of the order in which the numbered bridge components should be reassembled. The final assembly took 3 people about 2 hours using only an electric drill. We are extremely happy with the product. Using a rating system of 0 to 5 stars, I would award each of the following parameters 5 stars: ease of communication with the owner; product knowledge; quality of raw materials; ability to meet delivery deadline; quality of construction; pride of workmanship; and ease of final bridge assembly. For such a positive review, the reader may reasonably question a possible relationship with Rod Bird. I am not a relative, have no financial interest in his business, and have never met him previously or in person. I live in Washington state; he is located in Arkansas. I am aware of the risks inherent in using the internet for a project of this complexity and cost. Happily, in this case, my fears were unfounded.

I worked with Rod in producing a 22ft bridge spanning the width of a swimming pool. You cannot ask for better customer service. Rod kept us posted throughout the process with progress photos and delivered the bridge on schedule. It was a very pleasant experience from working out the construction details to the installation and the wood behaved exactly how he said it would. The bridge was accurate and easy to put together and now, my client enjoys a nice natural-looking handcrafted bridge which his kids jump from into their pool

Rodney was a great person to work with. He exceeded expectations on the wonderful bridge that spans our brook. It has held up to sever winters in New England very well and is a beautiful today as when I first received it.

I was looking for a "transition" bridge between different sections of my garden and found this mini foot bridge made out of Eastern Red Cedar. The workmanship is excellent and the red cedar is beautiful! It's very sturdy and functional as well. I couldn't be happier with this purchase!

We were very happy with the handcrafted bridge that Rod built to go over our Stream. It actually turns into a river when the heavy rains hit. Rod worked with our engineers and Contractor to come up with the design to build our 30 ft high arched bridge. It turned out great and quite a feat to design and build a bridge like this that is 4 feet high over our stream and 8 ft wide. The bridge holds up well in our heavy rains and our horses and tractor goes over it without any problems and it is very beautiful to behold.
