Our experience with Pegasus was amazing, I would recommend anyone doing a house project to call them. We called them first then had lots of other contractors/design build places come to see who else was out there, I wish we went with Pegasus right away and saved time! For our project (addition/first floor/kitchen renovation) we decided to move out because it would have been hard living home w/kids, which is another thing to consider if your moving out, Pegasus was motivated to finish the job, and finish the job right! We first worked with Jenna the architect who was amazing and got our plans ready. We got a quote for the scope of work and we decided to go with them and they took off running, the project finished pretty much exactly what we were quoted, no surprises or issues, we were even able to do add on a few items that made our home even better. Our project manager Mike was awesome, he would email us basically everyday with a status update and/or upcoming work, this was one of the best experiences I have ever had with a renovation. He was very knowledgeable, responsive and addressed any concerns/questions we had, same with the entire Pegasus team throughout the project, they were all great to work with! It is a great feeling to trust the business and the workmanship you are paying to renovate your home, we even had neighbors raving to us about the work they were seeing when we were not living home. I think peace of mind when it comes to your home is something everyone should consider in the overall cost and scope of the work, and with Pegasus we had that!

Working with Pegasus was a great experience. We were very nervous about doing a major renovation due to the bad experiences of other family members we have, but Pegasus guided us through the entire process. Jenna was fantastic working with us on design options and once construction got underway, Mike provided us with daily e-mail updates so we knew exactly what was going on. No renovation project is going to be totally smooth, but Pegasus takes a lot of stress out of the process. I'd happily recommend them to anyone else seeking to do a home improvement project.

We had a great experience working with Pegasus for our kitchen renovation. The project entailed a complete tear-down, moving an exterior wall, and re-building the deck. A significant undertaking like this is best left to professionals who know how to manage subcontractors, getting work done on time and on budget. The team at Pegasus did an excellent job in every regard. During the initial design phase Jenna (the architect) helped us visualize the various paths we could take, providing floor plans and renderings with associated cost estimates. She would present new ideas and patiently incorporate our feedback to produce alternatives. Always positive and enthusiastic, Jenna really helped us navigate this important phase to arrive at an optimal solution for our goals. Where we really noticed the benefit of working with a design-to-build shop like Pegasus was how integrated everything is. From architecture and design, through town permits and formalities, followed by demolition, construction and final inspection, Pegasus has it all under control. As a home owner you just stand back and let the Pros take care of business, right on schedule without deviating from the agreed upon budget. When renovating older homes you often face unexpected challenges, like pipes or wires in strange places, things that can’t be touched lest you violate some modern building code. Of course this happened to us too, but Pegasus found elegant solutions. Even after the project formally completed they would send the relevant crew to our house to take care of details we might have missed earlier or to repair damage that happened during construction. Throughout the project we had access to a detailed time table where all activities were scheduled. Our project manager Mike was on top of things the entire time, giving us daily status updates and describing upcoming events every step of the way. Any questions or concerns that came up he would respond to and handle the same day. We were impressed by Mike. Too often you encounter people who just respond to one of your many questions or misses the point altogether. Mike is the opposite. Best project manager you could ever hope for. (Thanks again Mike!) Although everyone involved in construction did beautiful work, a special shout out goes to the carpenters at Pegasus. These guys are masters. Friendly and helpful, efficient, respectful - after all they walk in and out of your home all day long but we didn’t mind. We would not hesitate calling Pegasus back for future projects should the need arise. We highly recommend Pegasus Design-to-Build. If you care equally about process and outcome look no further.

Everyone on the PEGASUS Team is highly skilled and professional. From the first phone call to the final walk-through, everyone we worked with was friendly, detailed, and thorough. Our bathroom reno was done exceptionally well and on time. Even though it was a small job, relative to other projects, they gave us their full attention and made us feel like a priority. The communication was excellent. I give my highest recommendation to PEGASUS and wouldn't consider anyone else for future work in my home.

We can't say enough good things about the Pegasus team. From start to finish they were with us the entire way through. It was dauting to take on a major remodel for the first time, but they made the process easy. They provided multiple options for design, then guided us through the selection process. Once the build started, the project managers provided daily emails of progress and let us know if any decision points were upcoming. All the staff was friendly professional and hard working. The final product is amazing and was on time and on budget. We will definitely do business with them again.

We had our home renovation done recently by Pegasus Design to Build team. I highly recommend them, right from the architect to the designer to the project manager to the production manager and all those who worked on their team did an awesome job. They are not only good at what they do but are excellent to work with. We got daily updates and were consulted on each step along the way. We had a wonderful experience with Pegasus from start to finish. The team was very easy to work with. We loved that the group is comprehensive: they have an architect to design the space and provide 3-D walkthroughs to refine the plans, a kitchen designer to help choose cabinetry and colors, a general manager to oversee and communicate who to expect in your home on a daily basis, as well as great carpenters and subs. I felt very comfortable with everyone coming into my home. They stayed on target with what we were told for a timeline, and we ended up with the most beautiful space we could ever dream of! We highly recommend Pegasus and will use them again for our next project!

We have used Pegasus over and over again as they are truly amazing to work with! So many friends tell me horror stories about their renovations but not us! Pegasus is there when they say they will be and if there is a change of plans they let you know right away. Their work is top-notch and they guide you through the entire project. And they leave the home spotless each day! I can not recommend Pegasus highly enough! We will continue to be using them for all of our renovations, both large and small!

We did a major 5 month renovation with Pegasus Design to Build. Jenna helped us to fit another bedroom, bathroom and mudroom/laundry room into our smaller home while also converting a 3-season porch into a family room as well as update our kitchen, study and existing bathroom. Mike and Josh and their team of skilled carpenters made this vision into reality. We were very impressed by their communication, patience, willingness to help, organization, consideration, craftsmanship and kindness. The finished product checked off all of our wish list items and more without changing the character and feel of our beloved older home. We wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again on future projects and would wholeheartedly recommend to others.

Pegasus constructed a beautiful owners' unit for our two-family property by transforming a third floor walk-up attic space into three bedrooms and a bath with laundry room, and creating an open living and dining space on the second floor. It was a big project which involved adding 2 large dormers, removing interior walls, opening up an interior stair, and running plumbing to a third floor. Jenna designed a wonderful layout with a floor plan that accommodates our family of 4, with great flow, natural light, and so much closet space! Kerri's eye for design and recommendations on fixtures, tile, and paint colors were spot on. We love our new home. Mike is an incredible project manager, and kept the job on time and budget - this was quite a feat during a period of supply chain disruptions and uncertainty. He has excellent communication skills, and provided daily project status updates via text, email, or phone - I always knew what was happening with the project. Josh, Dwayne, and the other carpenters on staff are masters of their trade, and their craftsmanship and attention to detail can be seen in every corner of our home. Pegasus hires great sub-contractors, and I found all of them to be top notch and professional. I've deliberately focused this review on the strengths of the staff at Pegasus because I feel that building a strong working relationship with the individuals at a design-build firm is so critical to a good project outcome. As a client you are trusting them with your time, money, and home, and you need to be confident that they will deliver on expectations. Owner Geoff has assembled a team of dedicated individuals at Pegasus - they all worked together to build a great space for our family.

We are so pleased with Pegasus's ability to not only renovate our house, but to keep us informed every step of the way. Their team was always available for questions from conceptualization through full construction and final punch list. Really appreciate how they took the time upfront to explain the process to us and work with us on every detail to realize the outcome we envisioned. Pegasus Design-to-build was a great contractor and remodeler to work with for our kitchen gut renovation (plus mud room!). We spent years talking about this renovation and had clear ideas about what we wanted, but their Designer and Architect, Jenna, helped us identify solutions we couldn't have imagined ourselves. Once the project actually started (COVID slowed everything down), we appreciated the daily check-ins with the dedicated Project Manager, Mike, who was one of the most responsive people I've worked with on any home renovation project. When issues or concerns did arise, he was quick to discuss with us, come over and review, and in almost every instance was able to identify a plan to resolution. Our project ended on time and on budget and I would absolutely work with Pegasus and the team again on any future construction/renovation project!

What started during a conversation over drinks a year ago, turned into something we could have never imagined. We knew we had to figure out a way to adapt our current home into something more functional for our family and Pegasus made that happen for us and more. Starting with Jenna's ability to see the space in way that we couldn't and create the perfect set of plans, to working with Geoff and Kerri during the planning stage, then to the regular communication with Mike and Josh during the entirety of the project, we are beyond impressed with this company. We knew from the start that Pegasus was the right company for our job. We just had such a good feeling and we are so happy we went with our gut! We pretty much updated and renovated our entire space- including a dusty attic turned master suite oasis, living room expansion/fireplace and updating all the trim/doors and kitchen. Pegasus and all their subs were very aware and respectful that we were living in the space and made sure that the jobsite was always clean at the end of the day and we were comfortable. Mike ( project manager) truly goes above and beyond in so many ways. He is in regular contact ( daily emails) and always made himself available if there were any questions or concerns. It has been about 2 weeks since they completed the project- we are still in awe of how well it all turned out. We have had many family/friends come by who cannot believe the transformation. We obliviously highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to use them again in the future

Pegasus Design to Build was amazing to work with on our home renovation. We had a single level ranch style home, and Pegasus did a “tear-off” renovation to expand to a second floor. We started working with Jenna, the home designer who was a pleasure to work with. She provided us with multiple options and ideas, listened to our feedback, and ultimately designed our dream home for our family. Throughout the design process Kerri helped tremendously with our selections, and was diligent with keeping us on track to avoid any potential delays. All of the vendors we talked to couldn’t give the Pegasus team enough praise. Pegasus started and completed the project execution on time, and it was hassle free for us. Mike the project manager kept the online schedule updated very frequently so we would know what was coming up. I would look forward to Mike’s daily email informing me on what was going on at the house, what is coming up, and what (if any) delays were happening and why. During the COVID era there were a couple of supply chain issues, but Pegasus was diligent in making sure that our project overall timeline wasn’t delayed. The quality of work that Pegasus delivered is beautiful. Josh the carpenter does incredible work that looks like it’s straight out of a magazine. Pegasus’ sub-contractors were very respectful, hard-working, and skilled. I would recommend Pegasus to anybody for home renovations, and without a doubt would use them for any future projects. We’ve been in the house for a couple of months now, and I still can’t get over how much I love the work that Pegasus did for us. Be careful - diagrams we're inaccurate, and not compatible with other architects! Charges are exorbitant for simply design while construction costs end up being much higher than quoted estimates at the beginning of the process.

We recently had Pegasus renovate our kitchen and both bathrooms. We’re talking removing a wall, moving radiators, upgrading electrical, moving plumbing and appliances—the kind of job we knew would overwhelm us really quickly. Thankfully we chose Pegasus, who made the whole thing pretty easy. Jenna, Geoff, and Kerri got us started with great design ideas, a clear and comprehensive contract, and great options for selecting our finishes. And when construction time came, Mike was there every day to keep us informed of everything that was happening, and the whole staff was there to walk me through stuff and answer my questions. Their carpenters, plumbers, electricians, flooring, and tile guys all deserve five-star reviews in their own right. They were meticulous in their work and it still shows 6 months later. We had a few issues with the painters, but they worked with us to fix things as best they could. This is one of the best parts about working with Pegasus. Nothing ever goes perfectly, but Pegasus always did everything they could to make us happy. Not just one or two of the staff, but everyone I interacted with we’re always ready to discuss options and help us problem-solve. In some cases, that meant helping us understand that our “great idea” might not be so great after all (and they were usually right). AND they are SO LOVELY to work with! Everyone I interacted with was pleasant and friendly and showed respect for my family and my home at all times. Six months month in, we love it more with time. It’s made our home so much more functional and seamlessly blends in. Thanks so much to PDB for making our house the home we hoped it would be.

Pegasus recently renovated most of the front floor of our home. We had a complete kitchen renovation, bathroom renovation, office renovation, and living room renovation. We have nothing but positive things to say about Pegasus, especially Mike and Jonathan. Despite the corona virus pandemic, they were able to finish everything in a timely manner. We were expecting our first child in December of 2020 and Pegasus worked over time to make sure everything was finished and to our satisfaction. Everyone they hire is professional, polite, and respectful. Mike goes out of his way to make sure everything is perfect and responds to emails and texts very quickly. Renovations are very stressful, and Pegasus wants everything to be perfect for the customer. I have heard horror stories of renovations from friends and I can't express how grateful we are to have hired Pegasus. Jonathan was our carpenter and his work is meticulous. He is also great to be around, and we miss seeing him every morning! Everyone that comes by has said how amazing our house looks now, and that Pegasus made the most out of the space we have. If you hire Pegasus, you will not be disappointed. We are looking forward to hiring them for our next project!

Again, just outstanding. The Pegasus team completed a kitchen/dining room/mudroom/ half bath project for me about 2 years ago. This year, it was with confidence that I reached out again to Geoff. Planning on my project was pre pandemic. From the start, working with Jenna and Kerry to the finishing touches by Josh and Mike M, my project, a much needed complete remodel of my main bathroom and the replacement of 5 windows in a small extra room is just beautiful. Wayne and Brandon, the plumbers gave me great advice and they were so very kind. Tony, walked me through making an electrical plan and Jonathan, the carpenter, worked hard, even on the more difficult days. The tile guys were great and Mike, my project manager, was simply outstanding (again). My project was likely their smallest one of the summer and took a little longer (due to the pandemic) but Mike really cared that I would be completely happy. He quickly resolved a concern and answered my many questions. Mike is just a pleasure to work with. My project came in under budget. The Pegasus team, with sensitivity to Covid precautions during construction, created the perfect spaces. My bathroom with my large dream shower is timeless and the room that needed windows is now a remote classroom space for me to teach from on the days when my school is closed. (who knew I was going to need that when we started). It is most definitely my pleasure to continue to recommend Pegasus-Design-to-Build for any home renovation needs.

We could not be happier with our experience with Pegasus. Our long list of home improvements included a complete gut/rebuild of the older part of our house and the construction of our dream kitchen. After a few meetings, the Pegasus team quickly realized our vision. The designers, Jenna and Kerri, were amazing, spending countless hours drafting the plan until it was perfect. Geoff, the owner, provided extremely helpful suggestions on the design, and explained every detail of the contract, cost and timeline. Construction was due to begin as restrictions from the COVID pandemic went into effect. We were thrilled that it was able to proceed. Once started, it was go-time. Our project manager, Mike, was a superhero, visiting every day to supervise the work, and contacting us every night to reveal the plans for the next day. He rapidly responded to every question and change order we had to keep the project on track. Duane, the carpenter, became like a family member, chatting with us while completing his work with pride. The subcontractors were skilled professionals. There was never a day when one was not on site. Overall, it was a smooth, stress-free experience, and we lived and worked at home during construction. To our pleasure, the remodel came out perfectly, on time and on budget, especially our dream kitchen which looks identical to the computer-generated design image. We highly recommend Pegasus and will contact them again for our future remodeling projects.

Never having done a major renovation before, I was at a loss for where to start searching for a reputable contractor to renovate my entire home. Pegasus was recommended by a coworker who had just finished a large renovation so I started to investigate. I knew what I wanted to do, but wasn't sure how to get there. Jenna came to the house, listened to what I wanted and presented me with multiple options of floor plans. She had the vision of what my house could be that I could never have imagined. Geoff did a wonderful and thorough job drawing up a contract with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and make modifications. Kerri walked me through design choices with support and guidance but let me make the selections. Once the project started, Mike, the project manager was in constant communication on a daily basis with the progress. I knew what was done each day and what was on the schedule for the next day. I can't say enough about the work that Jonathan, Mike, Duane and Josh did. Everyone was very helpful but not condescending to a construction novice like me. I was never afraid to ask questions. But these aren't just a group of nice people, they are skilled professionals who know how to run a business and do quality work. I could not be any more thrilled with the look and quality of the workmanship. And although I am glad the project is finished, I do miss dealing with this group. I never thought I would say that about a design/construction company.

The team at Pegasus did an outstanding job on our kitchen and bath remodel. We knew it would be a big project because the entire space had to be reimagined. The existing rooms had to be gutted to the studs and exterior doors and windows had to move. Pegasus handled the project professionally at every stage. The design was fantastic, we received excellent advice regarding cabinet selection and layout, and the workmanship was also excellent. I was particularly impressed with the carpentry and tile work. Pegasus was responsive to every concern I raised and they are great with follow-up now that the job is complete. It is a joy to be in my new kitchen and bathroom.

Never could I have imagined my childhood home could be so beautiful and yet so functional. Pegasus Design-To-Build provided home remodeling services that exceeded my expectations in every area. From initial contact, design, and build, the Pegasus team was professional, respectful, on time and on budget with transparency in all areas. My home has been in my family for over 40 years and was overdue for a kitchen/dining room remodel given the wear and tear of two generations of children and family living. My home had no first floor closet or storage space. I really wanted to solve my “shoe problem“ as I’ll admit keeping shoes in a kitchen cabinet was not my finest moment. We also wanted to explore the possibility of adding a half bath to our one bathroom home. After meeting with several possible contractors, my initial contact with Geoff, the owner. was very positive. He explained his process and really took the time to answer my questions. I met with Pegasus’s extremely talented designer Jenna, who again listened to what I hoped to achieve, carefully photographed and measured my home and created several lovely personalized design plans each of which would have worked beautifully in my home. Jenna stressed I should choose what I loved and we selected one of her designs that would come to suit my family perfectly. Jenna then worked with me as I picked out all the needed items from my beautiful cabinets, to countertops to fixtures. I cannot say enough kind words about the vendor process. Each professional I worked with was outstanding. They clearly had a warm and positive, professional relationship with Pegasus and each and every person I worked with reaffirmed that I had chosen the right team. One area that Pegasus really stood out on was communication. In addition to in person meetings, phone calls and emails, I was given a web page specific to my project where all the relevant information, plans, selections and financials were available and updated regularly. Having everything in one centralized, easily accessible place made the process and tracking the details much more manageable than it would have been otherwise. Eager to begin, we prepared for a November start. I certainly believe that a winter build poses its own special set of challenges especially as my family continued to live in the home throughout the build. Here is where Pegasus truly shined and showed their expertise. Every single person who worked in my home was wonderful. Danielle took care to carefully protect my home. She put up the protective barriers that would not only define the construction space but would also help keep out the elements from the rest of my home while we lived in the remaining space. Each and every tradesman was a true professional. I could see how carefully they constructed my new spaces. Each day progress was evident. I was also kept up to date with daily emails. As a mom it was important to me that I felt comfortable with the people entering and working in my home around my children every day. Tony, the electrician and his crew were top notch and Wayne, the plumber, was especially adept at working through what I think may have been the most challenging aspects of the project. Moving pipes and balancing our heating system, where the old met the new, resulted in its own complications. Wayne really was patient with us and was able to thoughtfully work through these challenges in a way that I will always be grateful for. The carpenters Josh, Mark and Duane were amazing. They were so kind, careful and patient and I feel each one of them really took the time needed to build me something special. I cannot thank them enough for building me such a truly beautiful kitchen, a place perfect just for me. My new kitchen is warm, friendly and also elegant, more than I could have ever hoped for. Not only are Josh, Mark and Duane excellent carpenters building me the most lovely kitchen and beautiful big windows in my dining area, but they were also friendly, had a great sense of humor and were especially thoughtful going above and beyond to show me kindness on days when it was really needed. I am very grateful to Geoff for sending me such wonderful people. Of course none of this could have been possible without excellent project management. Mike was exceptional. He was there to coordinate every aspect of the build. He is smart, responsive and has excellent communication skills. He was extremely patient with his explanations and took the time to educate me when needed so I could make informed decisions. Of course my project a 4- 5 month winter remodel and addition was not without it’s small difficulties. As questions or concerns arose, Mike made a point of being extremely responsive. He worked with me to resolve any concerns or answer any questions to my complete satisfaction. He truly wanted me to be happy with every aspect of my space, My home turned out beautiful. I had expected a mud room, but what I got was so much more. They built me a lovely porch, a mudroom/back entry way that is truly both pretty and functional with a little bench and a large closet which solved my “shoe” problem. My much needed new powder room is just the right size and located in just the right place. My kitchen and dining area are just so pretty, I never could have imagined even Jenna’s lovely design could have turned out so beautifully. I would highly recommend anyone considering any type of home remodel to contact Geoff and the team at Pegasus and I look forward to working with them again soon on my next project.

It was our great, good fortune to work with Pegasus when renovating our 1918 Bungalow. The project included a total renovation to our kitchen, master bedroom, 2 baths and a wrap-around deck. Our fuzzy design ideas were transformed into blue prints that were considerate of our desires and budget. The build process was efficient and completely transparent, with contractors arriving on a schedule that was shared with us on a daily basis. No surprises! But most of all the final result is wonderful! All the work was done to a high standard of craftsmanship, integrating 21st century improvements with Bungalow charm. We highly recommend Pegasus Design-To-Build.

Thanks to Pegasus I have my dream kitchen. From the very beginning they were easy to work with and their communication is top notch. They were always available when I had questions and I could count on getting an email from them every night telling what had been done that day and what would happen the next day. If they weren't going to be there they'd let me know why. Living without a kitchen for four and a half months is hard but they made it easier with suggestions and help every step of the way. I will absolutely use them again.

We really enjoyed working with Pegasus. From the start, Jenna listened to our ideas and designed a kitchen that perfectly fits our lifestyle. Having the dedicated project manager made the whole process that much easier. Mike was always accessible by email, phone, or even a quick meeting. We loved the daily reports! From design to finish, Pegasus was fantastic. Communication was excellent as was the quality of the workmanship. Our project was a finished basement and a sunroom addition as well as a kitchen makeover for our 40 year-old ranch. Collaboration with design and build were excellent. We selected Pegasus because of a recommendation of another client who was very happy with their project that was done a year earlier. We also appreciated the fact that the project went from to design-to-build in one place. As do-it-yourselfers we went into working with a contractor with trepidation; but once we started working with Geoff and Mike and they laid out the project, we started to relax. We had daily notifications from Mike, the project manager; and the online tool was great to see the progress of our project. The whole project management was great and a key factor for us. Communication was great!!! Quality of work from the tradesmen was excellent. If any potential problems arose, we knew exactly what they were and worked collaboratively with Mike, Geoff and/or the tradesmen to see how to solve the issue. Financially, we were able to work with Geoff and had no major surprises about unexpected costs. There was transparency about budgets, allowances, costs, etc. For my sunroom addition, Geoff made suggestions that allowed me to make it an all season sunroom. Jenna was also great to work with and was great when we picked out our cabinets. She was really helpful with ideas, colors, etc. We can't say enough good things about Pegasus from Design to Build. The project was better than what we anticipated and we are loving the new spaces and the new kitchen.!! Would definitely hire them again and would definitely recommend without hesitation.!!

Our project involved combining Kitchen, Living room and Dining room into 1 largely open plan area to modernize, increase the light and use of space more effectively. This involved knocking down walls, including a supporting wall and a wet wall, and putting in a new beam. We also had the main bathroom and master bathroom renovated as all the plumbing had to change in any case. We selected Pegasus for the project as they had managed projects of similar size with positive, enthusiastic reviews. We particularly liked the fact that the company seemed to have strong project management. Overall we are delighted with the result – it exceeded our best expectations. Project Management - Pegasus provided strong, engaged and proactive project management through Mike who made sure that we were aware of what was happening and what he needed from us. He addressed all issues and change requests and made sure the various tradesmen were coordinated giving us very few days with no activity. The initial estimate was that the project would take 3 months and it did. All tradesmen were outstanding, both Pegasus employees and contractors who are very closely tied to them. We have had some poor experiences with contractors in the past but on this project they all were highly professional and committed to doing the best job they could for us - making suggestions, taking initiative and going beyond what we would normally expect. We would happily use all tradesmen again. We did make one suggestions to Geoff on potential improvement. The estimate was provided up front before the design was finalized. At this time we were having many discussions on alternatives and were not fully clear on the snapshot of the design and assumptions used for the quote. We suggested the quote include more clear information on the design and assumptions summarizing open decisions that could significantly change the cost. To be clear, Pegasus had provided detailed information and were above board – we were just in the throes of making so many decisions requiring many discussions that we made the wrong assumptions in a few cases. Geoff understood our concerns and is adapting the process to help the customer navigate this complex and anxious process. With that, we are thoroughly enjoying our new space and would recommend Pegasus without reservation.

Pegasus Design-To-Build is a very professional company with excellent production management skills. The skilled tradesmen and product manager are personable, considerate, and knowledgeable. They are always willing to go the extra mile to find a solution to a difficult issue. They met their schedule deadlines and budget. We were so happy with the remodeling of our kitchen that in 2017 we employed them to remodel our 3rd floor master bedroom suite plus do a lot of work on our second floor for a project that cost more than 1 1/2 times the kitchen project.

We used Pegasus to do a gut renovation of most of our 1910 Brookline home's second floor. The job entailed demolishing two small 1940s-era bathrooms and enlarging them into an existing bedroom, adding a laundry closet and a walk-in closet. The results are pretty amazing. We now have two fully modern, chic bathrooms. The master bath is a particular work of art. It features a freestanding soaking tub, shower stall, new windows/floors/ceilings/wiring/windows and a double vanity. The design process with Geoff was enjoyable, and our project manage Mike is a true pro. They were great about cordoning off the work area to minimize dust, the work largely went according to schedule, the subcontractors were pleasant and professional to a man, and they are excellent about pursuing the punch list at project end. Perhaps most important, the price only grew beyond budget because of last-minute choices by me and my wife, which they accomodated. Great work.

Our kitchen renovation project was a down-to-the-studs renovation and included a significant redesign and wall removal. We were looking for a builder that would provide excellent workmanship, a reasonable price point, good communication, and a non-extended time frame. We were introduced to Pegasus Design-to-Build through a friend. After seeing her new kitchen, we got Geoff in to provide his ideas. Geoff listened to what we wanted and provided his suggestions based on what our kitchen space could accommodate. His estimate was very reasonable, especially in view of the other builders we asked in. Mike, the project manager, was great. He provided us with daily emails, providing a summary of the work that was done and the upcoming work. His responses to follow-up questions were prompt, always the same evening or the next morning. One of the best things about Geoff and Mike is that they are usually smiling and always in good spirits, and when there is some bad news about the house, they had a couple of good suggestions. This good attitude is something small and not directly related to the work quality, but was just as important, as it helped to minimize the daily/weekly stress. Our carpenter/framer, Josh, was excellent. Besides the work that he was doing, he often oversaw and communicated with the sub-contractors first thing in the morning. Even though Mike was always available to answer questions, the client-accessed website was a great place to find information. All important documents, such as the signed contract, project calendar, change orders, and financial updates, were uploaded to this site regularly and were available for our review. Overall, we had a great experience with Pegasus Design-to-Build and would recommend them to anyone thinking about a home renovation.

It is with great enthusiasm that I submit this review of Pegasus-Design-To-Build. We hired Pegasus to design and remodel our kitchen in our 1930's colonial in Belmont, MA. I absolutely cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Pegasus. The operation is top notch from start to finish. From the responsiveness of their team to the overall quality of the work, we really could not have been happier with the way that the project was completed. The renovation was a significant undertaking for us. The job included a full kitchen remodel and reconfiguration of the existing layout together with removing several structural walls. We had additional work performed on our attached garage, existing half bathroom and on the exterior of the house. These additional items were priced separately from the original kitchen scope of work. Because Pegasus was such a joy to work with, we kept adding additional jobs for them to do! The Pegasus team is simply spectacular. Our first interaction was with Jane, who put together our design. Geoff and Jane then met with us together to make changes to the design plan and ultimately firm-up what we wanted the space to look like. Geoff then prepared a price quote for us and we went on to sign a contract. Once work began, we worked with Mike, the project manager, who oversaw completion of the entire job. Without exception, every member of the Pegasus team who came to our home was a true professional. We got to know and love Francisco and Marc, who performed the bulk of the carpentry on the project, with Josh also doing work on the framing. I'm especially appreciative that Francisco gave us so much of his own advice about a number of small aesthetic details on the project. It was so clear to us that it was really important to him that the end result look beautiful and make us happy. I've worked with a number of other contractors over the years, and I know that finding people with the kind of attention to detail that Pegasus showed in working on our kitchen is a true rarity. I also couldn't have been more pleased with the quality of the subcontractors that Pegasus used on the job. The electricians, for example, were really amazing. The price that Pegasus charged us was very fair and very true to the contract we signed. Any time we asked for something to be done that was above and beyond the original scope of work, we were given separate price quotes before the work was done. I feel like Mike went out of his way to make suggestions for us for items and strategies that would be cost-effective for us. The project was completed on schedule and I love absolutely everything about my new kitchen.

We can highly recommend Pegasus Design-To-Build. Geoff, Jane, Mike, and the rest of the team were great to work with. Jane worked with us to come up with several designs for our kitchen renovation before detailing out our favorite. Geoff was involved in the design process, helping us understand the implications of design choices. Mike was a great project manager, he was very responsive to requests and gave us daily updates. The tradesmen on the team are skilled, and always happy to modify plans as changes arise. The whole crew worked to get us the best final product with the least pain along the way. In the end, the kitchen came out better than we could have expected! We'll use Pegasus again for our next renovation.

We can’t say enough good things about Geoff Shafer’s company. Geoff’s proposals are detailed and well organized which allow the homeowner to understand exactly what every aspect of the job will cost, not just a lump sum amount that you get on an envelope from some contractors. Pegasus is everything you look for in a contractor: honest, professional, trustworthy, punctual, fair and most importantly – focused on customer satisfaction and exceeding expectations. You pay a little more for their services but the overall result is worth it. Jane is their architect who did a beautiful job optimizing our space and gave us many options to choose what was best for our needs. Mike is the project manager and from our viewpoint he is by far the best project manager in New England’s home improvement industry. Mike told us several times, ‘we just want to make you happy’, and he made sure that we were. Mike’s communication, follow-through and professionalism are first rate. If he says he will do it, he will. When he says he will be there, he will. With Mike on the job you have no worries. Geoff has spent a lot of time putting together the subcontractors that perform to the highest standards. From the framers, to the painters, his subs did an outstanding job with only one exception. His granite/counter sub was not up to the standards of his other subs, but Geoff and his team continue to work tirelessly to ensure this very last detail of the job will meet our high standards. Pegasus’s lead carpenter, Francisco, is a very conscientious and professional finish/trim carpenter. He will always make things right for you. He takes his time, but it shows in the result. With any job, the difference is in the details and Francisco keeps this in mind for everything he does. He even took the time to show me how to frame a window. Marc and Duane also showed great skill and care as they contributed immensely to the overall result. Lucimar did an absolutely outstanding job on the tile work. For a young guy he showed old world craftsmanship, something missing in today’s trades. All of the remaining trades, electricians, plumbers, HVAC, siding, sheetrock and plaster all did what was expected of them. All of them took the time to explain what they were doing and why and were very polite in answering all of our questions. If you needed a little something extra, they accommodated us no questions asked. There are always minor issues but nothing that Mike could not rectify in a very timely and fair manner. One aspect that was very important to us was that Geoff has an online project management tool that allows the homeowner to login and see the real-time status of the project. You can view the project schedule, send a message, attach a document or picture, review the change orders, see the financial statement, etc. Very cool tool – worth every penny. Bottom line is we would definitely hire them again, unfortunately we have no more projects for them to do, but that shouldn’t stop the readers of this review to give Geoff a call and know that you have made the right decision. Pegasus completed a kitchen remodel in our 100-year-old home in 2015. We chose them based upon the recommendation of a neighbor who had hired them for a number of home renovation projects. We couldn't have been happier with our decision! It took us 10 years to finally tackle the renovation of our kitchen. It is an expensive undertaking and we wanted it done right without any drama. The team at Pegasus made it happen. Simply put, they are a class act. Everyone takes great pride in their work, from the owner, Geoff Shafer, to the project manager, lead carpenter and trades folks. We never had to worry about something not being done, or being done incorrectly, or that our concerns would not be addressed. From the start, we received daily email communication from the project manager regarding what work was to be done and who was scheduled to be on site. We felt our home was treated with respect and was always left in good shape at the end of the day. Deadlines were met as stated and the project was completed on schedule and on budget. Given that it was the worst snowfall on record in Boston, that was a real accomplishment! Any minor issues along the way were addressed immediately. A cracked back splash tile and a mark on the newly refinished hardwood floor were fixed the next day. We were never left to wonder what was happening next or if anyone was going to call us back. Geoff Shafer is very easy to work with and we found him to be fair and honest. He listened readily to our ideas, and shared his professional opinion about construction and design matters. Any unplanned changes and all of our questions were handled efficiently and professionally, and with a good sense of humor to boot! The thing I most appreciated about the Pegasus team was that we never had to worry about any step of the project. Living through a home renovation, especially a kitchen, is a stressful prospect in and of itself. It was such a relief to know that we were in good hands and didn’t have to sweat the details! We continue to appreciate Pegasus for standing behind their guaranteed work. Nearly a year since our project was completed, I contacted Geoff regarding an issue with the caulking around the sink area. I received a follow up email within an hour and the caulking was fixed two days later. You just can’t beat that! Thank you Pegasus!

We approached Pegasus with the need for a new and expanded kitchen, added deck, updated bathroom and added bathroom. The two design proposals matched our needs, style and finances perfectly while giving us more features than we had considered, in particular a master bed/bath suite! All Pegasus staff as well as subcontractors and vendors were professional, courteous and responsive. All materials used were of high quality and industry standards. The few hiccups we encountered, as normally happens with renovations and building, were immediately addressed and resolved to our satisfaction and expected quality. The timelines were on target with what was projected. We have recommended them several times already and will continue to!!

Pegasus designed and built an addition on our small house last year that gave us an entryway (where there had not been one) and a larger bedroom. From start to finish, they were great to work with and did excellent work. Having had so-so experiences with contractors in the past, it was a huge relief to work with a team of people who were professional and responsive. The project mamnager communicated with us daily by phone and email and could always be reached if we had a question or concern. He provided us with accurate time schedules and always let us know if there was going to be a change in plan. This made the whole process so much smoother and less stressful than we have experienced when having work done in the past. Their sub-contractors were also respectful and professional and completed their pieces of the job in a timely manner. A year later, we love the new addition and feel grateful to have chosen Pegasus for our project.

This project couldn't have gone any more smoothly. From start to finish, Pegasus was extraordinary in their level of detail, responsiveness, and quality of work. I'd never undertaken a renovation project of this size and had heard horror stories from friends about disappearing contractors, misaligned expectations, sloppy work, and outrageous prices. None of these ugly eventualities ever presented themselves with Pegasus. The project finished on schedule and exactly on budget...and I love the space. Their prices are not rock bottom, but they are very fair. Most importantly, you really get what you pay for. The hallmark of this company, besides the quality of their work, is their communication. They have an online portal that gives the customer a full picture of the project's schedule and stores all relevant documents in one place. When there are changes that need to be made to the financial specs of the project, you are asked to approve each one and are able to see a complete running list at all times. They assign a project manager to you who communicates via email EVERY DAY about the progress of the job. So every day you know what happened that day, what's going to happen the next day, and what the plan is for the remaining days in the week. EVERY. DAY. For me, this was invaluable. Large renovations--especially when you are still living in the house--can feel chaotic and disorienting. With Pegasus, I felt simultaneously involved in the project and constantly reassured that they were competently and professionally handling every tiny detail. And it's those details that really matter. The house was well prepped for the demolition--rooms sealed off, etc.--and then every day the job site was left tidy. Each subcontractor who came into the house was friendly and professional and the quality of their work was excellent. The finish work was beautiful and there was no detail too small to escape the eagle eye of the project manager as he did his final walkthroughs. Now that the project is completed, Pegasus remains in open communication with me about punch list items--have we found anything that isn't working? Anything that we'd like altered now that we're living in the space? I can honestly say that I'm going to miss them when the punch list has been completed. Who ever says that about a contractor?? I can't wait to hire them again.

We had an old country style kitchen probable built in the 1970's. Our house is an expanded cape. The old kitchen and dining area was very out of date. Next to our kitchen we had a bedroom that we wanted to expand into as part of our new space, however, that wall was a supporting wall. In our kitchen was also another low supporting beam that needed to be dealt with. We were hoping for a front to back kitchen and dining area. We met with our first general contractor (not on Angie’s List) who surveyed everything, told us what they believed we could or could not do and then told us to go to Lowe's or Home Depot to plan out the space and cabinetry. We were disappointed as we had no idea how to change and utilize our space. This contractor told us that they could remove the supporting wall but could do nothing with the other supporting beam. We had been thinking of using a design to build company and after talking with a second general contractor this confirmed that was exactly what we needed to do. Through Angie’s list we developed a list of three excellently rated design to build companies. We met with each company and they all were very nice, listen to our needs, took many notes and measurements. The first two companies we met with, while very nice, did not give us very impressive ideas on utilizing our proposed space. Both wanted to keep most of our appliances and plumbing in the same general areas, only gutting that immediate area about 12’x12’. They both (incredibly) told us we could do the painting to help save money and encouraged it. One company almost convinced us not to break down the wall, because it would increase the cost too much. Needless to say we were discouraged and figured we were going to have to really down size to stay around our budget. Then we met with Pegasus Design-To-Build. After speaking with Geoff (the owner) we decided to have his wife Jane to do a design for us. When we saw her presentation we were blown away. She listened to everything we said and incorporated it into her designs. Our kitchen/ dining area would have a completely new look. The entire space was gutted to the studs, supporting wall taken out, our second supporting beam recessed and walls opened into adjoining rooms. Pegasus had the most reasonable cost of all the companies. Their proposal included the entire project up to the last drop of paint. (excluding appliances) Considering that this was the first time we had attempted a project of this magnitude, we were nervous to say the least. The project, to our relief, went extremely well. Mike, our project manager was phenomenal. He always kept us updated about what took place that day and what would be going on the next. He responded immediately to any questions or concerns. He made this project go as painless as possible. We were very impressed. They showed up when they said they would, cleaned up after every work day and were finished within two weeks of our estimated finish date. Every worker that came into my home was pleasant and respectful. Duane, Pegasus’s carpenter, was always pleasant and never minded our questions or requests. During our project we added several change orders and Pegasus’s was very reasonable and upfront with their cost and profit margins. We are very happy with our new kitchen and dining area. Our friends and family are all very impressed. I would not hesitate to use them again.

I have used other contractors in the past and can say that I have never had such a positive experience. The job was enormous- almost a complete house gut and I lived in my home while the work was going on- seven months ! Not Fun! But...... I arrived at the office for an interview with only my own scribbled plans. Jane spent a great deal of time understanding how I lived and then totally resigned my plans to reflect what I actually wanted- with many new and terrific ideas. Jeff and I discussed every change I wanted and what it would cost on a regular basis. There was unbelievable communication. I always received a call back from someone within an hour , even on weekends. The crew is lovely and they spent a lot of time screening off my living areas and cleaning up. Once I even changed my mind about a wall and some electrical work just as they finished it - and they redid it all on the spot - no problem. They have a set crew and I got to know them all. Living with them - they became like family. If I requested a particular carpenter for a particular job- he was sent. If they got behind the schedule , they would work on weekends and evenings to catch up. Mike is great and supervises every small thing. I would really like to thank them all. I especially would like to thank Jesse for all the extra little things he did to make my "life in construction" more comfortable. Reading this , it sounds like they paid me - but I definitely paid them:-) I still call if I think something is "funky" and they are over here right a way to take a look. The completed house is more beautiful than what I imagined and everyone seems to have taken great pride in their work. I would never use anyone else.
