Rod Auburn, came to my attention through a friend who was having a deck built. I needed a home renovation and had no idea of how to find a builder and other trades. Within three days Rod and his team had walls removed and rebuilt, within two weeks kitchen and bathrooms were removed, waterproofed and ready for gyprocking and tiling. I cannot recommend Rod and his loyal team of tradesmen for the wonderful work they’ve done turning a tired 1980’s house into a modern looking style for todays living. Oh and the best thing about Rod is he has a fantastic sense of humour and very easy to get along with, very important when searching for a builder. Thank you for all the help and expertise getting me through my first home renovation. Do yourself a favour and contact Rod.

Some time late last year I was driving along and took a photo of a truck advertising the building of decks. My current deck in the front of my house was 17yrs old and the wood was rotting so we had to replace it. I contacted GetDeckedOut and they immediately came to inspect what was required and sent me a quote for a new deck. Their professionalism, quality of work and management of the project have exceeded my expectations. The project was completed without fuss or any issues despite constant rain. Thank goodness for Rod and his Get Decked Out team. When we had a dream of installing a deck off our living room, we arranged for a couple of quotes from others but we didn’t feel that we were in capable hands. Then we found Rod. A master at not only construction, but also design, building, ideation and communication. He took our scribble and came back with ideas around the design and choice of materials and lighting options that made it so much better than we could have ever imagined. And all to budget and promised timelines. Plus, second-to-none project management, and a select crew of trusted tradies that have obvious respect and trust in each other. (Even our neighbours were raving about them, simply on the basis of what they heard and saw over the fence.) We can’t recommend Rod and Get Decked Out highly enough and we are already brainstorming their next projects.

I was really pleased with Rod, Brent, Kieran and all the team at Get Decked Out. They were great to have around and did a fabulous job rebuilding my new deck. They used Millboard, which just looks amazing and has totally revamped my outdoor area. They were very conscientious, and went that little bit extra to make sure the job was perfect. They commit 100% to your project no matter how busy they are or what size the project is. Their price point, project management, design ideas, attention to detail, finishes, communication skills and ethics are so good that they took the worry and stress out of the build for us. That's right, a stress free build, amazing! Rod cares about his brand and his clients and his team. They're great guys and a close team that worked well together onsite. They completed the deck (on time) with a beautiful seating area and it’s beyond better than we'd envisaged. Can't wait for the pergola! Rod and his team of tradies did a fantastic job in building us a third bedroom in our apartment. Rod helped us throughout the process and communicate with us often both pre and during the work. The quality of the work was extremely high and all the team were super friendly and respectful when doing the work around us. Rod also provide an accurate quote upfront and delivered on this - as well as the original quote being the best value compared to 3 - 4 other builders we contacted. Overall can't recommend Rod and the team at Get Decked Out more.

This group was recommended by a builder. They have repaired and replaced floor/joists; skirting boards; doors/door-frames and framed ceilings for installation of fire-rated boards – all in an old (approaching 100 yrs) irregular surfaced home unit. Great results too. None of the neighbours complained! They have been efficient, reliable, friendly and priced fairly. They have even assisted with carrying heavy appliances up and down stairs; organising assistance with rubbish removal from other trades and helpful advice on other areas in the unit It has a been a pleasure dealing with them , so I am happy to recommend them

We where wanting to replace our tiled deck with Hardie decking for a low maintenance modern look for our house. I call James Hardie Company for recommendations for installers. Rod from "Get Decked Out" was one of the companies that we received a quote from. We went with Rods company because from the time we meet him we where confident with his suggestions and knowledge. His attention to detail for the job and explaining to us every step of the way was fantastic. His Instagram account also detailed all the jobs he is working on. We also ended up with our fence being redone for pool certifications and a screen for around our Air conditioner and pool pump. We are delighted with the service provided by this company. We hired Rod to rebuild the front porch on our federation style home in Manly. He did a fantastic job. Gave us several options including different looks and materials and put up with lots of questions and frequent changing of mind. He scheduled the job promptly and got it finish very quickly with awesome attention to detail, including extra federation trims which we hadn't thought of. All the rubbish was removed and the yard was left spotless. He also built our back deck 12 years ago and it has stood the test of time. Would highly recommend Get Decked Out.

So happy with my decks, Rod came when he said he would to quote and got the quote back to me promptly. I had 2 decks that needed to be replaced, I appreciated the knowledge Rod has when it came to discussing woods and he had some great ideas. I needed to build a golf simulator in an existing home theatre without damaging the exiting structure. Get Decked out managed to build the entire structure on steel pegs so that the carpet was not marked, and so that a 6m x 4m enclosure could be erected within the existing space. The result is fantastic and the client is extremely happy. I would use Rod & Get Decked Out again when the occasion arises Well done

Rod and the team from Get Decked Out were engaged to install 3 x beach access staircases on Sydney's Northern Beaches constructed from wood/plastic composite materials. This was a tricky assignment given that concrete footings had to be engineered to withstand cyclonic conditions that washed the previous timber staircases out to sea. The carpenters Daryl and Brad did a quality job with the construction and managed the sites safely and orderly at all times. The staircases look fantastic and an excellent outcome was achieved.

I needed 200 sqm of spoted gum decking , and after a recommendation contacted Rod from Decked Out. Within a short time the crew arrived and did a great job. Quality material, with Stainless screws and quickly built. I also had some other carpentry needs and the boys were happy to oblige. Within moments of Rod arriving to give us our decking quote we knew we were onto a winner. Warm friendly and honest we're our first impressions. He took the time to talk through all our options and gave some excellent suggestions. When he arrived to do the work he was on time, worked cleanly and was meticulous about every aspect of our job. The finished product is simply beautiful. Each board screwed down and counter sunk perfectly and the addition of the built in deck lights really brought our new deck to life. Rod, Darryl and the team at Getdeckedout were a fantastic company to deal with and build our Pool Cabana. Whilst the design process was fluid, they were very accommodating and helpful in allowing us to realise our vision. The team worked remarkably quickly to produce the finish that we were hoping to achieve. Nothing was too much trouble including turning some of the original hardwood beams into a beautiful Ethanol Fire. My wife and I would have no hesitation in recommending others to use them and achieve an equally beautiful outcome. Equally we would gladly ask Rod for help on other projects in the future.

Get Decked Out completed a couple of jobs for me - one at my home and the other for my office. At home, they rebuilt an outdoor decking area around my spa, and had some great design ideas as well as implementing some great work. In my office, we were relocating to a 450square metre premises and needed a total re-fit for the office. The office is in the heart of the CBD, and not only did the guys from Get Decked out cope with the restrictive parking and access issues, the end result of building new office space, training rooms, a student-centred area, and a new kitchen - was absolutely fantastic. Three years on and people are still admiring our office space and our team of 30 people are still happy with their work environment.

I had "get decked out" install a covered pergola in Feb this year and was and have been delighted with the resulting work. Also courteous and pleasant workmen, important when you are a woman home alone. Recommended them to an elderly neighbour and Rod arranged a very generous fee to replace a roof due to customers circumstances.

Get Decked Out installed beautiful hardwood floorboards in my two bedroom apartment and the workmanship and quality of work is nothing short of exceptional. The team went over and above and even installed the skirting boards for me once they had finished with the flooring. As I'm in an apartment, acoustics are very important and the team sourced and installed angle step underlay as an added barrier to prevent any sound penetrating the slab to the unit below. I highly recommend Get Decked Out for any decking, flooring or general carpentry work you may be considering.
