We are a team of passionate design professionals delivering innovative, cleverly designed pieces that combine art and practicality in an interactive experience. OPD originated in Brazil, when in 1996 Gisela Bentes Simas started her first interior design store in the state of Rio de Janeiro. At that moment she discovered her passion for designing lamps, objects and furniture. Timeless aesthetic, functionality and purity of lines are the main aspects of her philosophy. Attentiveness to the relationship between user and products is a constant pursuit. The touch of the wood, the latest innovation, the smell of a product, the packaging, every feeling and perception are important. The OPD creative team thinks about a product from the perspective of personal experience. The long, detailed and thoughtful process of inventing and developing a new product make us proud of what we achieve.
