Greg A. Michael, Sr. President of Mi-Kin Creations Inc. grew up in a woodworking family. Prior to WWII, his father, Ellis H. Michael Sr. was the lead man in the production of wooden aircraft for the US Army Air Corp. After the war, he started a home improvement business that did work throughout the South. Greg's brother Ellis H. Michael, Jr., who is 18 years his senior, started Mi-Kin Creations in Tampa, Florida in 1967. Ellis, using his artistic talents, began integrating function and form, producing some of the most unique creations seen in the Tampa Bay area. Greg grew up working in the shop assisting on woodworking projects and working with the tools of the trade. However, Greg determined to do something different from the family business. In 1997 with his wife Toni, they built their new home. During the process they decided to buy some woodworking tools and do all of the interior work themselves. After hand making and installing all of trim, laying and finishing the floors, Greg's love for woodworking was rediscovered. Soon after this, Mi-Kin Creations Inc. of Georgia was born. Mi-Kin Creations Inc. is a family business. Mi-Kin stands for Michael "Kin Folk". Greg's two sons Gregory and Jonathan have ownership in the business and are craftsmen in their own right. The men of Mi-Kin Creations, Inc. love working with their clients to create the projects of their dreams. They look forward to working with you on your home or business. Call for a consultation!

Mi-kin are great people to work with. The family and their entire staff are experienced and skilled and the level of craftsmanship is excellent. From conception to completion and every step along the way, they listened to what I wanted and the ‘look’ I wanted to achieve. I couldn’t be happier with my beautiful kitchen cabinets. They also created a built-in pantry and vent hood with cedar paneling from my family home built in the 1950s. I’ve gotten loads of compliments from friends and family! I couldn’t resist having them build a bookcase to add even more beauty and warmth to my home - again, step-by-step - start to finish they created the perfect piece. If you want quality, attention to detail and a truly warm and welcoming family to work with, Mi-kin is the best choice.

It has been about 2 years since Greg and his team helped complete a massive renovation of our home. My wife, Tina, and I are still so incredibly grateful for all of the amazing work done by the Mi-Kin team. They are true rock stars when it comes to artistic design and super high quality construction, and it was an absolute pleasure to work with them. Their work still looks brand new 2 years later (see pictures) and we continue to enjoy their work every day. Looking forward to working with Greg and his team again in the near future!

I could not be happier with how my basement bar, bookcase, wall unit and bathroom turned out. Absolutely gorgeous! Greg as able to take the vision in our heads and bring it to reality. The quality of Mi Kin's work is second to none. In fact, when the county inspector was signing off on the finished basement he specifically commented on how well made and installed the cabintry work was. As a former carpenter himself, he said he's not seen any work since becoming an inspector that compared. Thank you Mi Kin!

We had our kitchen completely redone. Mi_ Kin did all of the demo and repair of the wall is before installing of the cabinets. Some extras we knew nothing about were offered and we are so happy to have taken advantage of them. All the work done to build and install cabinets was more than first rate. Mi-Kin people are all top notch professionals. We highly recommend Mi-Kin for your renovations.

Mi-Kin Creations is a family of rock star craftsmen! Any contractor would tell you that I am picky, to say the least! We initially only employed Mi-Kin to make our kitchen cabinets during our whole-house remodel. However, the more we experienced their design and work quality, the more we asked them to do. In the end, they helped design and build our main living areas, our master bath, our boys' bathroom, our powder room, mudroom and our entire kitchen and pantry. These guys are woodworkers, who are refreshingly kind and honest, and will surprise you (or more like knock your socks off) with the time and care they put into their work. Greg, the owner, responded to every unusual request I had with a proud, "sure, we can do that." And the outcome was always better than what we had expected. On more than one occasion, he (or his son) even proposed and then added unexpected details because they thought it would just make it look that much better. To say we are happy with Mi-Ken Creations would be an understatement. They are wonderful to work with and be around and capable of building anything and making it extraordinarily beautiful. If you can't get on their schedule immediately, you will not regret waiting until you can.

Mi-Kin Creations is a wonderful company to work with. They designed our custom kitchen, it has all the bells and whistles you could ask for. Spice racks, knife and utensil draw, island with loads of storage space, pantry and more. I’m in love with my kitchen! Finally!! They also helped my husband to design our bonus room into a music room. Not only do they do top of the line custom work but are wonderful people to work with. They want you to be happy. If you want craftsmanship by people who not only care but seem to enjoy their work, look no further. The guys at Mi-Kin Creations are amazing. We have a commercial building with a live-above loft apartment and they did such an amazing job. They hung our doors, built custom cabinets, created raw wood shelves on galvanized pipe and a beautiful pine ceiling....the list goes on. What we enjoyed most was getting to know these guys. Greg Sr. and Greg Jr., Tom, Rod and the others all have such a can-do attitude. They never stopped smiling and no "barrier" was a problem. They took everything in stride and the results are just stunning. Having them on our job made us feel great about the project. Go with Mi-Kin. You won't be disappointed!

From design to build to installation, we couldn't be happier with the whole experience of working with Mi-Kin Creations. The custom cabinets, custom barnwood island and accents and custom furniture are all beautiful. We get so many compliments on how pretty and not standard these items are. With these kinds of projects, there are always on-site adjustments that need to be made and Jonathan and Greg Jr. were positive, solution-focused craftsman who weren't satisfied until it was perfect. Also important to me is that the service people in our home be pleasant and respectful, especially when they're going to be around for more than a few days! The team from Mi-Kin are a joy to have around. They know just when to chat and just when not to. In an age where customer service is nearly dead, Mi-Kin is a refreshing throwback to true service. Can't wait to start on our bathrooms in the coming year - and when I do, we'll definitely look forward to having Mi-Kin contribute their time and talents to our home again.

This family-run business is top notch. I hired them to redesign new cabinetry for my great room and the divider cabinets between the great room and kitchen. Greg is very professional and exhibits integrity in his work. He is very creative and has a solution for everything. Greg focuses on both the big picture of a project as well as the details. Mi-Kin Creations redesigned our Kitchen with quality cabinets and a number of enhancements both decorative and practical for every day activities. After the back splash and granite were completed, we have had nothing but outstanding comments on the new look of our updated kitchen. I have hired Mi-Kin Creations a multitude of times- they helped me rebuild a historic storefront (they custom built the windows and doors to historic details and custom fabricated "rustic" wide plank flooring, custom interior trim, etc.) as well as custom utility room cabinets, and just the other week, a custom made craftsman style walnut entry door for our house. To say we are big fans of the incredible work Mi-Kin Creations produces would be an understatement. They are honest, hard working, and true craftsman. I would highly, highly recommend them to anyone with the most discriminating tastes looking for the highest quality. I recently worked with Mi-Kin Creations on a large renovation project. They produced all the custom cabinetry in 4 rooms in the home.Their executions of my designs was absolutely fabulous! Both myself,the homeowners and the contractor were so pleased with their exceptional work and the results were perfection.They were professional,great communicators,on time on deadlines and wonderful to work with! They are also innovative and added their ideas to some of the designs which helped to make the cabinetry even better and most functional. For those who want to cut to the chase, Greg did an superb job and I would hire him again in a flash. Now, for the details: We had already chosen a contractor before meeting Greg or knowing of his company. A neighbor just down the street was in the process of a kitchen renovation with Mi-Kin and we decided to see how theirs was going. I saw the work and was immediately impressed. That was the beginning of our change over from our first contractor to Mi-Kin. We asked Greg for a quote and references. We went to see examples of work from both contractors; Greg's work surpassed the other contractor in two major areas. Both of the contractors did professional work, but Greg's work went beyond being professional and looked like the work of a craftsman. There were design features and construction details that made Greg's work look hand crafted rather than mass production work. The other difference was that Greg included design features that would have been cost-extra options with the other contractor. You really have to see the hand crafted walnut counter top on our kitchen island. It is the centerpiece of our kitchen. As for design, Greg and his son, Gregory have an excellent eye for design, visual balance and functionality. I am glad that I chose Mi-Kin, I would use them again, and I highly recommend them.

Mi-Kin has made two custom pieces of furniture for me: a kitchen island in 2010, and a desk for my office in 2012. I knew what I wanted when I first spoke with Greg about both of them. He insisted on coming to the house to see the kitchen and then later, my office before he made each piece, and had great suggestions as to materials and design which augmented my own thoughts. The desk of course will move with me if we ever sell this house, and the kitchen island - that baby's going to go too! There's no way I am leaving that piece behind if I can help it! It's so right for me, and I thank Greg and his sons for that. I highly recommend this family and its craftsmanship.

Mi-Kin Creations did a beautiful job on remodeling the display cases in our Jewelry store. The work was professionally done within our budget and were great to work with. Their ability to design and hand craft custom quality products is a plus. I would not hesitate using them again in the future.

Greg Michael, his sons and others who work for / with Greg did a fabulous job on our new kitchen. Mi-Kin Creatiions removed and took away our old cabinets, designed new base and wall units including a pantry, and gave us the tons of easy-to-access drawers (v doors) that we asked for. All custom work, all done beautifully, and amazingly affordable. It took a couple weeks to complete all the work but as we did not move plumbing and kept the stove within 18" of where it was, Greg made sure we were only without a functioning cooking area for about 5 days. The end result of their efforts is beautiful, efficient and exactly what we hoped for.. Everyone associated with Mi-Kin was totally professional, friendly, and an excellent craftsmen. My husband and I are totally pleased wtih their work and highly recommend them.

Greg and his team, including a son or two, are excellent to work with -- very pleasant, willing to listen to client's ideas while also offering suggestions. We needed two 'closets' built for a loft, but didn't want the pieces to look too utilitarian; we now have two gorgeous pieces of furniture that have fulfilled all our requirements. The first quote was more than our budget so Greg reworked a couple of things and was able to deliver on both quality and cost. Everyone who visits comments on how beautiful the piece in our entry way is -- and how functional! Their work is impeccable and we will continue to use them as we have the need.

I have known Mi-Kin Creations as a Cabinet company since 1996. As a person that has been in the cabinet material supply business for 20+ years, I can tell you, there are not many customers that you come across that can manufacture the diversity of products with the high-end quality as Mi-Kin Creations does. I have been to their Closet jobs, Kitchen Jobs, Commercial jobs and seen their POS display work and Custom Furniture pieces; the quality is excellent and their job site workmanship is clean and tidy. They have always treated me and my company with a very high level of respect and always have given me the necessary time to discuss new and innovative product offerings. Mi-Kin would be an excellent choice for anyone looking for Closets, Kitchens, Commercial cabinetry, POS display work or Custom Furniture pieces.

Their cabinetry is competitively priced but has very high quality. They are creative in their design work and outperform on their finished products. My wife and I hired Mi-Kin Creations to remodel our kitchen, master bath and 3 bathrooms. We are very pleased with their custom work. Mi-Kin Creations built drawer fronts to match existing cabinetry in the kitchen, matched the stain of the existing drawer fronts, built pull-out kitchen drawers, installed spice racks and a space-saver corner unit. They custom built vanities for the master bath and 3 bathrooms. They also custom built a medicine cabinet and framed the mirrors in the bathrooms. Mi-Kin Creations provides excellent craftsmanship and customer service. It was a pleasure having them in our home. I would definitely recommend Mi-Kin Creations.
