Houston Cool Pools

We are very happy with our new pool and highly recommend Houston Cool Pools. Our project was on-time and slightly under-budget, even when the pandemic stay-at-home order was announced just before our plaster was scheduled. We have been enjoying our pool for two months and it is working perfectly. Mike (owner) and Miguel were very responsive and supervised all the workers and answered all our many questions and addressed any few concerns we had. We spent a lot of time with John Kvrgic planning the pool and it turned out exactly as planned. Everyone at HCPs was very knowledgeable, courteous and professional, and their workers were all well behaved and the worksite was neat.

I highly recommend this pool company. When we researched pool companies in Houston, a few stood out as best, and Houston Cool Pools was one of them. We received designs and bids from several companies, but the design (and nicely competitive price!) sealed the deal for us. The construction was led by Miguel Sosa who is professional, knowledgeable, and always pleasant. He kept us informed on the process and was easy to reach when I had any questions. Definitely a five-star job!

We chose Houston Cool Pools because of Mike Lopez, the owner, who visited our house on a cold rainy day right after Christmas when everyone else was telling us they were on vacation. The dedication spoke volumes immediately. Mike was honest, thoughtful and straightforward without ever overshooting our budget at any point throughout the quoting process or construction. The project was a huge success and we are very happy pool owners. The project did take a little bit to get off the ground once we all came to an agreement but once it was started, it was managed by Miguel Sosa who is one of the best project managers that we have had. Miguel was very passionate about the entire process. He would show up after a long day in the sun to make sure the "little" things were taken care such as trash and any inconveniences that you may have in your backyard. Knowing Miguel is a family man, we were very appreciative that he would work after hours to ensure success of our project. Miguel kept all of the contractors in line and would go up to bat for us when we did not think that something was correct after installation. Miguel would call the contractors out if he felt like they cut corners or did not do quality work. This did not happen much, but we did notice that Miguel does not settle for mediocrity. Overall, the coordination of the vast amount of contractors (gunite, plumbing, tile, equipment, etc.) was pretty seamless with Miguel in charge. Only due to weather did we ever have delays and by the end we met our timeline that we set out for at the beginning. We are happy pool owners and would recommend Houston Cool Pools to everyone!

True to their word, patient, great follow through, really polite and knowledgeable staff, very competitive pricing. I don't know of anything else that Mike and everyone could have done to do a better job. So pleased!

Houston Cool Pools designed and executed the pool we have in our back yard. He listened to what we wanted in our pool and designed the pool of our dreams. He even make recommendations of what would work best for our yard and the space provided. He showed us a virtual model of what is would look like and we were very pleased with it. Construction was a breeze and they completed the project in a timely manner. We were always being informed of what the next step would be, which kept us involved in the process of making our pool. We highly recommend Houston Cool Pools to all of our family and friends.

Mike and Matt with Houston Cool Pools are fantastic. Mike worked with us on the pool design prior to construction starting on our new house then coordinated with out builder during construction of the house to get the pool dug and gunite installed after all the heavy construction was complete. It was amazing to see how they drove the excavator through the garage and out an opening the builder left for them to do their work so our home could wrap around the pool. Matt taught us how to use the pool and has always been there for us when we forget how to do something. Our pool looks beautiful and has been a major attraction at our new home, we absolutely love it. We were so happy with their work we've referred them to co-workers and have recently had them add automation to our pool......we love the automation!

Installed new pool and spa. Received a thorough, itemized estimate and a detailed milestone schedule. Work was completed on budget (almost to the penny), and on schedule - i's dotted and t's crossed. We could not be happier with the vendor, and with the end product. Thank you! Seven years later, it's still running well. Quality work product, full transparency, great communication every step of the way, and thorough follow-up / follow-through all the way through completion. Cannot recommend these guys enough. They did a fantastic job, and they were great to work with. If you're in the market for a pool, please give them a shot.

Houston Cool Pools. Mike and Matt did a great job designing and building our pool. They listened and were honest with us throughout the process. Construction is never easy but Mike and Matt managed the bumps along the way. I can also say that they continue to be responsive to questions almost two years later. We received very good service from Houston Cool Pools from the conception of the project to the follow-ups after start-up. Mike was very helpful to make the selection of the equipment and design, suggesting while respecting our choices at the same time. I was impressed by the precision of the realization, the seriousness of the documentation and permitting, no deviation from the plans, minimum impact to the surroundings. The different teams intervened quickly one after each other, so that the pool was operational 7 weeks after the start of the construction. We always got an answer rapidly to our questions during the works and the same person was ensuring the coordination of the different teams intervening (Matt). There were some follow-ups after start-up and the response was impressive : replacement or check were done to our satisfaction even a few months after all the handover was done. I would recommend working with Mike and Matt at Houston Cool Pools, a company at human size so that takes your project as a priority, whatever the size.
