Gary quoted me for the building works I needed for a bespoke wooden orangery that we wanted to have built onto our house, replacing an old plastic conservatory. We subsequently hired Gary to do the demolition of the old conservatory and the building works required for the new frame with appropriate building regs approvals. The result was superb, on time, on budget and Gary and the team were neat, tidy and polite throughout the whole process.

Gary did a fantastic job for us and we were absolutely delighted. He was a pleasure to work with, very supportive, friendly, knowledgeable and reliable!! We wanted a bespoke porch designed and built for our 1930's cottage style house and he understood perfectly about designing something which was in keeping with the style and age of the house as well as satisfying our needs and wishes, and he advised us very well indeed, we love it! I had a few fancy design feature ideas and Gary accommodated those wherever possible, helped source the crafted materials and where it was not possible he fully explained why they would not work structurally as he would always make sure that structural integrity was never compromised. We are very happy customers and would recommend Gary to anyone.

Last Spring we had the exterior of our rather large Victorian house renovated and redecorated by Alresford Design and Build. We have no technical building knowledge and so relied on Garry and Josh to observe and recommend actions on our behalf. We were invited to inspect any area in question and the alternative actions were clearly and objectively laid out. The end product is (one year on) excellent and we feel that was money well spent. The combination of genuine niceness, expertise, attention to detail and understanding made the whole disruptive process easily bearable. Soon after the work was finished, someone who lives in a nearby street called on us to compliment on the look of the property and asked for the paint colour! These are genuine craftsmen of the old school of thought and deserve patronage.
