Anita helped us design a major kitchen and master bath remodel in a 1970's ranch-style home we'd owned as a rental for 10+ years. I had never remodeled anything and was skeptical that we could transform the outdated eyesore of a kitchen. One issue was that we had a vaulted ceiling in the dining area but when entering the kitchen it dropped to 7 ft. due to a soffit. We could immediately appreciate Anita's architectural background because she correctly assumed we could remove the soffit and carry the vault into the kitchen, raising the ceiling to 10ft throughout! This, along with her incredibly functional and spacious kitchen design updated it and made this truly my dream kitchen! We also asked Anita to redesign our challengingly-spaced master bath. Again, with her eye for architecture and creativity, she created a plan to incorporate everything we want with room to spare! With the kitchen success, we're excited and confident that it will be amazing when we implement it next year. Finally and most importantly, Anita was always patient, professional, and budget-conscious and never made me feel silly about any of my questions. She was always available and very resourceful with references to terrific subcontractors. She obviously loves what she does and she runs a great business - we highly recommend her!

Having used Interior Spaces for a $100,000 living/dining room remodel in 2005 with great success, it was easy to turn again to Anita Thompson's Interior Designer expertise in Master Planning when beginning a master bedroom/bath remodel. Along with space planning, she does an outstanding job of coordinating colors, window coverings, and top-quality materials. The result is a beautiful flow through the entire project. Ms. Thompson has good working relationships with many showrooms from Portland to Seattle and an eye for finding the very thing the client is wanting.

I think Anita is one of the best interior designers I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She has a warm, collaborative style that really makes the whole experience fun. I loved how she listened to me first and then brought in her years of experience to come up with an amazing plan for my home. I have a 91 year old, "mission style" home in Portland that is turning into a showcase home with Anita's help. I love how she works with base color and then adds layers on top. I could never have imagined painting my living room three different colors, but she made it come alive. And for window coverings, there is no one better. She knows the styles and has the resources to wonder things. And she stands behind everything she does until it is done right. I just love working with Anita. perfect fit on our window treatments on a variety of windows. The nicest was a front room window treatment that was battery operated, folding from the top down. Most importantly, Interior Spaces did a complete redo remodel of our kitchen. Stripped to the studs and started over. Attention to detail was outstanding! Worked well with the contractor. Paint color selection was tasteful and included our preferences after interviewing and working with us on the design. We recently sold the house with the kitchen remodel. The only part of the house that we didn't want to let go was the kitchen!

We have hired Interior Spaces several times for both personal and business interior design. Anita has helped us choose paint colors, furniture, window coverings, cabinets, lighting, and helped with all aspects of master planning. We were extremely impressed at how quickly she can sort through reams of materials, and dozens of paint samples to narrow down what we like and what would work in our space. She has taken us through furniture stores, and fabric companies, as well as directed us to internet sites, paint stores, etc... We have also seen how well she works with other contractors: builders, cabinet makers, installers, electricians to make sure the whole project flows smoothly. We are very satisfied, and would highly recommend Interior Spaces.

I hired Anita for my first house after a divorce, I was able to do whatever I wanted to do! Anita looked a what furniture and bedding I had and then came up with color scheme for the entire home. We then added furniture and accessories. Im clueless about window coverings so this is where Anita excelled, brought ideas and fabrics and made custom window coverings that just pulled it all together. I loved the outcome, and the living room was even featured in a NW magazine. After friends and family had seen what she had done at my house they started using her as well. I've got 4 family members and about 8 friends who've used Anita and past on her name. She is amazing to work with and when we recently moved she is the first person I called to help me get started on the new house! We've got colors done and almost done with furniture so window coverings are next!
