James and his team did an amazing job renovating two bathrooms in my mid-century modern house, and they were truly a pleasure to work with. I would absolutely work with him again. James and his team are highly skilled and extremely professional. The quality of the work was outstanding and they really cared about getting all the little details right. The tiles line up beautifully and are thoughtfully laid out. The drywall work was super smooth, and the paint job excellent. Plumber, electrician, glassworker... all were excellent. When there were surprises... original plumbing not being in the right place, etc. they were able to make creative adjustments without compromising the results. Nothing phased this team. James had great design input and I appreciate his modern aesthetic. He visited the project frequently and was always on top of everything. I always knew what was happening next and when tradespeople would be arriving. Any questions I had were thoroughly and promptly addressed. The team was friendly and polite and I trusted them in my house. In addition to the quality of their work, I appreciated that they kept the work site tidy and organized, and cleaned up at the end of each day. Hearing about friends' experiences with other contractors I feel really fortunate. James is highly skilled, organized, calm and trustworthy. He is a genuinely good person who genuinely cares about his customers. Highly recommend.

James is a green builder that is looking for the newest material and technology. His clients know that they are getting a superior product. Mr. James Witt not only builds highest quality homes, but his homes have character that stands out even among highest quality homes in the Palo Alto area. We bought one of his homes a year ago, and we've been receiving compliments from every guests, including real estate & contractor friends, regarding design, materials used, and the quality. Most of all, he's been extremely helpful and responsive in following up on even the smallest issues with our house, including changing light bulbs in our high ceiling. Although we haven't had any major issue with the house, he follows up with everything that needs follow up, unlike many other contractors that we dealt with in the past. We feel privileged to own one of the beautiful homes that he built, and if we ever consider buying or building another house, we would not hesitate in having him build for us.

His houses are have both esthetic values as well as substantial points - He uses quality materials with a well designed plan. I've seen his other houses and it keeps improving in both ways.

James takes tremendous pride in his work. Each house he builds is an extension of himself and a work of art. He builds sustainable houses that are thoughtfully designed, beautifully decorated, and unique in their own way. James intentionally avoids building McMansion houses and chooses to build houses that are gifts to the community.
