We had a french door installed with some repair work surrounding it. They went above and beyond with the quality of the installation. Now we are starting the process for the rest of our renovations (kitchen and bathroom) and I'm quite sure these rooms will all turn out just as impressive.

JCSmith did our complete basement remodel. From the start to the finish, they were professional and their communication was very good. The initial quote came in about 30% lower than what the final quote was, but my husband upgraded several things along the way to increase the price. Dave was our production foreman and he kept the job moving along. There were some hiccups with getting subs out to complete their portions. Our construction crew of Scott and Jim built the entire basement with care. If something was wrong, they corrected it immediately. We had an incident with our stocked freezer, but the company reimbursed us once we provided an inventory of the ruined food. Would we hire the company again? Yes. We've had other contractors work in various houses that we've owned and I can honestly say that JCSmith is the only one that I would hire again to do work for us.

We recently had our kitchen remodeled by J C Smith LLC. I highly recommend this company. Their staff was professional, yet friendly, knowledgeable, clean, and respectful of us and our property. I plan to have them do other jobs in our home very soon. The price was reasonable and job was finished in a timely manner. I tried for 4 months prior to contacting J C Smith to get this remodel done and didn't get very far. There was always an excuse of some kind, too busy, my budget wasn't high enough, contractor on vacation, or just never bothered to get back to me at all. As soon as I called J C Smith, the project estimator and the foreman were meeting with is within 2 weeks and the demo started 2 - 3 weeks later.

Jc Smith did a great job on our kitchen replacement and remodel. Great work, & great interaction through the process of the entire project. Would definitely hire them again!

November of 2014 my wife, my son and our golden retriever moved to a new housing development in Martinsburg, West Virginia. We moved to a new two story home with a basement. The laundry room was located on the top floor. Unfortunately, the code-required floor drain was not provided in the laundry room. The flood was caused by the water pipe connection which burst. The water migrated to the hallway and other areas of the master bed room, closets and the to the kitchen, family and dining rooms below. The kitchen ceiling had to be restored. There were no damages in the basement. The work was completed on June 15, 2017. We indicated in our review of JC Smith, LLC in Angie’s List that we were happy to choose them and we were satisfied with their work. Last Monday (October 9, 2017) JC Smith, LLC sent us two emails requesting to review them in HomeAdvisor and Houzz. Although the basement was not affected by the flood a profound damage was created by JC Smith, LLC during the construction. The scope of work required that the entire first floor existing wood flooring be removed and replaced with new. The removal and replacement of wood floors required power machines which caused dust and wood particles covering the entire area. The basement did not have finished ceiling. The space contained valuable family items and a desk top computer that stored our valuable family documents and photos. To date we have not been able to clean or recover these physical and electronic valuable items.

We moved to our summer cottage on the Shenandoah in Riverside, WV from DC but needed some repairs, upgrades, and aesthetic changes -- many of which developed during the project with our input and theirs. That collaborative flexibility was really great. We ended up with an external facelift with Hardie plank siding, new windows, a completely revitalized wood floor screened in porch, replaced gutters and damaged drywall, structural and aesthetic enhancements everywhere including copper roofs on two bay windows and an artistic wood feature beautifully translated from a picture I provided. JC Smith LLC and their team of professionals did a fantastic job and were good, flexible, reliable, friendly people throughout. We couldn't be happier with the result. I keep taking pictures like the place is a work of art! Looking forward to the next project with JC Smith -- John, Chrissy, Bill, Morris, Jereme, Chad, Joaquin, Dave, Kaydie. They know we are thankful, and they have our highest recommendation for not only quality and value but also the rare benefit these days of honesty, integrity, skill -- and they really care. They understand this is your home and when they are gone, you ultimately live your life in their masterpiece. They treat your home like their own -- and you can't ask for more than that.

Ours was one of many homes in our area to suffer water damage from frozen pipes this past winter. After another contractor (who is also local elected councilman) left us hanging, we met representatives from JC Smith LLC at the Martinsburg Home Show and were impressed by the company's personnel right from the start. We set up an appointment for an estimate; and, lo and behold, not only did they show up, they showed up on time, a rarity for this area! John Smith himself surveyed our damage, took copious notes and measurements, described in detail what the process of restoration would entail, and said he'd send us an estimate the next day, which he did. He knew what information our insurance company would want, and we received quick approval from our insurance company for the work. Each step along the way, the workers showed up on time, did their scheduled work, and, to our surprise, cleaned up. The work involved removing, replacing, and painting drywall in our garage, and removing, replacing, sanding, and staining hardwood flooring in a long hallway and foyer. We were so impressed with the quality of the company's work as well as everyone's work ethic that we hired them for additional jobs: replacing several doors, replacing the support pillars on our front porch and upstairs porch, and tiling the main level's two bathroom floors. Several of these upgrades were done concurrently with the damage repair. We are looking forward to JC Smith doing several additional projects inside and outside our home in the near future.

Martinsburg Eye Associates had a major water pipe burst on a weekend, flooding the back of the office causing extensive damage. I called and within an hour JC Smith came out and estimated the damage. As a medical practice we needed to be up and running for our patients. JC Smith understood and worked after hours to make this happen. Mike and Howard deserve a lot of praise, working fast and long hours to accomplish this. Within a few days we were able to start seeing a full day's worth of patients. We at this practice would like to thank JC Smith for their understanding in expediting this work for us. The work looks great!!

JC Smith LLC worked with this Martinsburg non-profit to provide information and insurance estimates to our insurance company after a sprinkler pipe burst in the attic of the building causing water damage to 3 floors. Staff were always efficient and friendly and provided the detailed information required by the company. After approval from the insurance company, JC Smith provided the detailed rehab as outlined in the estimate for the price given. All JC Smith employees were fast, efficient, and made sure the job was completed correctly.

Installed new windows in the attic and sealed the roof sill area. As usual, I was extremely happy with JC Smith LLCs work. I have hired them for a couple of jobs and am always impressed by the professionalism and completed work. Communication was great! The pricing was competitive.
